Yeah, but what I was getting at was that if I used the official Trials-Forum/UCI syndicated backwheeling technique, I might've been able to sail up walls higher than I can using my "Prove Lewis and Bennifer wrong" technique (Y)

I got my Visa Electron with my Abbey account when I was 16. It was the best/only real option available to me.
-
I'm pretty sure the Tensiles are stiffer (hence Monty copying them (Y)), and have replaceable pedal threads, plus the option of having the nicely splined UCI ring, and so on. Oh, and a warranty which actually means something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd go Tensiles every time. Oh, and have gone Tensiles too (Y)" There were some Middleburns out that were sold on Tartybikes at a deal price, 'cos they were 16t. Might be able to try and sort something for you I guess, regarding 18t-age... Heckle Dave/Adam and expect a response on Monday when they're both back.

Which part of which Norco frame are we talking about here?
-
I bet they'll get online ordering dialled, but without Visa Electron, so they can deliberately try and piss me off just like every other online shop that doesn't use Visa Electron...
-
Mike said 2-3 weeks in a thread previously, I thought? "It's going to cost the same price" as what? (Y)

I guess you'd had to have moderated this forum for a day to realise how heinously shit it'd be to have to keep checking bike pics threads to see how many days they'd been open and how long 'til they were due to be closed (Y) 'sides, if people are half-way through conversations/discussions in the thread and it comes up to it's closure time, what then? What is the optimum length of time for a thread to be open? Seriously, it wouldn't be a good idea in that it wouldn't work, not to mention it'll be shit for the mods to have to go round and check them...

I'd still sort the properly f**ked up cranks and get some new bars before I spent £30-40 on a new paint job though, Matt (Y)

If you leave a link to the page in the gallery your bike is on, you can have people massage your ego by going "OMGZ UR BIKE LUKS GR8 I WISH I WAS AS KWL AS U R", then they can. I'd rather just have new topics about, say, a new video, or a new batch of riding pics or something rather than "NEW CHAIN ON MY BIKE!!!!ONEONEONE". The Bike Pics thread worked fine before, it was one of the biggest threads on the forum, and it was fine. Don't really see the problem with it...

That's one of the good things about trials I guess (and one reason I'm way prefering BMX at the moment). Basically, you learn all the simple, basic moves, then you spend most of your life just trying to get them bigger (as a by-product, you learn to do other stuff, but you don't suddenly go out and front touch a 98ft wall, you do 12", then maybe 15, 20, etc.). Because of this, you gradually build up strength as and when you need it, simply because of the repetition of the moves. For this reason, I'm pretty strong with trialsy muscles (just 'cos I ride with a gay technique, just ask anyone who watched me backwheeling at the Deej ride (Y)), but puny faggots could probably beat me in an arm wrestle. However, a consequence of all this is that I have the strength to do moves, but don't have excess muscle I don't need. The reason plyometrics work better than just weight lifting is because of the fact you have different muscle fibres. You have slow twitch and fast twitch, and for trials you're better off developing the fast twitch muscles because you use explosive power more. Therefore, doing XXXlbs of weights just doing bench presses isn't going to do shit, really. It might feel like it is, but when you're pushing it you'll develop the trialsy muscles still, but be lugging round the excess. Or at least that's how I've found it. Because for the first like 3 years I rode I was a ball-less puss-ass, I didn't really progress onto bigger stuff, but just got the techniques for most things dialled. Now I've actually started doing big (for me) stuff, it's useful having the more control from having the technique right. So basically, I'd say the technique and power thing are kinda linked intrinsically anyway, and it's just the mental side that needs to be developed most for me. Sorry if I'm repeating what someone else has said/meant...

55 videso from the BMX Masters in Cologne. EDIT: Er, make that 65 videos from loads of shit...
-
I do make the Pro look diddy (Y) Gotta say I do rock a pretty high front end though; Onza T-Master stem and Pazzaz risers = 38" bar height. Tried lower stem (ZOO!) and it felt wankity wank. Mod just feels nicer than stock. Can kinda flick around on them more so you can just do more spontaneous moves almost, whereas stocks always feel like they 'plod'. Plus I think I've backwheeled 1 3ft plus wall on a stock without gooching myself :-\
-
I just never really got on with them. Sorta... weird, almost. Can never really eat more than half, just the after-taste and texture is just a bit shit.
-
If you've had it for that long, chances are slim it'd be warrantiable, because they're generally covered for manufacturing defects? Either way, you could probably buy a new drive-shell for it anyway, so you wouldn't have to bang out another £60-85 for a new one. Damn good freewheels though, the fact you got two years out of it is testament to that fact... Did it give any sign of impending death? Skipping at all? Or did it just let go?

Plaz. Why?

Sorry, forgot to say before - this *Should* be in the Bike Pics thread...
-
Auto-Mod Please use the bike pic thread, all the info you need is in the first post.

Blatantly, he did. Anyway, bike looks nice. I'm not super keen on the Try-All rear tyres, but I know on the front they do a super good job... To whoever mentionted that the tyres do OK for pros, don't you remember the big hissy fit between some comp riders when they realised that apparently the Try-All riders had been sliding and slipping on some rocks Maxxis rides were able to get up pretty easily? Either way, I'm guessing someone will realise that wheter pro rider A can ride with X components, it doesn't mean shit... But like I said, the bike looks way nice

Just having a drink before riding, so I'll just fire one last reply: You even said it yourself you do it to piss people off. From the experience of people outside of your own head, all your "counter-arguements" as you call them seem to be to try and piss people off, even if you don't seem to think they are. I'm not saying "Don't speak" or anything like that, but like I said - there's a difference betwene playing devil's advocate and just being a dick. You see to cross the line most times, just because you know you can as you seem to have gotten away with it. However, it's getting well old, which is why people are warning the f**k out of you.
-
The thing is you do this stuff to piss people off. You are going to get suspended/banned for doing it (notice the way that someone warned you twice* for one thing, just to try and get the point across?). I know you'll probably say you don't care or something, but basically, seeing as you spend a load of time on here talking to people, you will, pretty much... Anyway, it's stopped raining so I'm off for a ride. *Not me, before anyone says  EDIT: And before you get all uppity, remember there is a fine line between playing devil's advocate and just being a dickhead.
-
You technically assumed on number 4. Technical losses: the best kind. Anyway, one thing I have learned from this: Something to add to the "Impossible Things To Do List" as well as "Slam a revolving door", we have "Try and trip up that ninja guy so he falls over."
-
I knew you were quoting him, but your posts seemed to make less and less sense. Almost in the same way the guy timing the shooter seemed to be using a calculator \
-
Fortunately, I had read the rest of the thread. The rest of the thread still didn't explain why your post which I commented on made f**k all sense.

Jeez, talk about talking crap...
