  2. I kinda see where Tom's coming from with this. I was trying to do a manual line at our local ramp where you like pop out of the ramp, manual along the deck, hop up to backwheel onto the edge of the extension, then back into the ramp. On my BMX, it's a b*****d 'cos you've got to be *so* precise with it, just getting into it, but also 'cos you have to be able to apply pressure which will in effect be forcing the back wheel down as you hop. Anyway, on my BMX it's a mission just because I can't rely on ultra powerful brakes and knobbly, grippy tyres. Don't get me wrong - my BMX's brake is damn good, but it's not as good at holding as my Magura is. You HAVE to be accurate with it, and because of the nature of a lot of moves in skateparks/street/trails, it's balls out first time almost every time, whereas with trials with a lot of stuff you can work up to it a lot more easily... I can't really answer though, 'cos I love riding my BMX now, but I still feel the urge to ride the T-Pro every now and again too...
  3. Haven't got the foggiest.
  4. ...and plan the revenge attacks? Don't give me shit about "That never happens", 'cos it f**king does. Generally, it'll go: Ceasefire. Israel/Palestine happens to kill someone (seems to always be on the border...) Palestine/Israel does a revenge attack. etc. And dude, that IS what happens. I would say "It's blatantly obvious if you watch the news" but you'd probably say they were biased or some shit like that... Ah well. Palestine have said they'll cease all hostilities if Israel goes back to the agreed size of land as laid down in the mid-forties treaty. But no, they won't. C'est la vie I guess.
  5. With that front brake, take some cable out and it'll feel ten times better. Leave enough slack to X-up I guess (if you want barspin-ability, get a hollow star-nut bolt), but you can take a lot out and it'll immediately feel nicer and will probably work a lot better too. It should be fine if you do that, pretty much...

*sigh* A "thick" accent is one which has a strong sound to it. Therefore, a blatantly "thick" accent like Robbie Coltrane's is a "thick" accent... Thick means the same as strong in accent terms, it's just that people tend to use "thick". So there we go... Munki got demoted for raping Danny. Fact.™

    Grip Shift

There should be a little hole somewhere on the shifter, just bigger than the metal lump on the end of the cable. Typically, activating either top or bottom gear will open it (it does vary on model). You may have to splay the little cover between the "grip" part of the shifter (where your hand goes) and the actual internals part though (the fixed part), depending on the model again...
  10. I got a BMX, and also started riding differently. Just approaching stuff differently. 2 months ago, I was riding trials better than I ever had before. Did gaps bigger than ever, ups bigger than ever - all was well. Then I got a puncture and had to ride my BMX a bit. I haven't ridden the trials bike since. Go figure... Anyway, it's just a case of trying something else, or just trying to do what you're doing differentl. Travel helped me a lot.
  11. I lost the little clip aaaaaaages ago. I was riding, donig some gaps, noticed a funny freewheel sound, and the lockring had loosened itself (one of two times it's ever happened), and had cross-threaded, taking the shell with it  I nearly shat my pants. Anyway, no clip to this day, meaning it's even easier to strip down :P But yeah, it really is simple to do. Undo lockring. Undo little clip. Pull off drive shell (bearings are contained in it). Clean. Replace drive shell. Replace clip. Replace lockring. Done. Oh yeah - ACS Claws have been sold extractor-tab-less for years now, so it's not your idea :D
  12. You sure that's not just the same as that hospital removing Gideon Bibles because they thought they might offend people, despite Muslims and other religious people in the area saying they didn't care and thought they should stay?

    "guess Who™"

I'm going to assume from the way you 100% missed the point you didn't read the post I quoted? He was asking why it was in regional dialect. The guy speaking was Scottish. It would therefore be in a Scottish regional accent, which is what I was saying. He was saying it was stupid. I was saying it would be shit if she had to keep saying "He said in a Scottish accent." I'm not picking on Scottish people, you're just not reading the thread, cockface B) How's that for an example :P

    a) Team America - f**k Yeah! Watching it less than an hour ago... b) She obviously won't like Stephen King stuff because her Dad reads it, like she said up there
  15. Jesus H., someone show those clowns the video of Scotty Cranmer frontflipping from earlier this year, or even Matt Beringer's monster front-flip over a huge double from Props Year End 2000 (yes, front flip in 2000, pulled cleaner than all the ones I've seen mtbers do...). I think MTBers really need to take the sport in their own direction, as opposed to just doing old-school-style BMX tricks badly. Instead of doing tight stuff which looks and IS better on BMX's, why not use the fact they've got bigger wheels and a mile of suspension and do it on different terrain or something? That trailer didn't do it for me, aside from the fact I'm not huge on MTB "Street" sorta stuff...
  16. They don't skip a lot, to be honest with you. Mine's skipped about 5 or 6 times in the hella long time I've had it. Anyway, nothing flies out when you open it. It's one of the best designed products I've ever seen, truth be told. It's amazingly simple to strip due to the sealed bearings, and also 'cos the pawls are held in super tight (I haven't even removed mine, just cleaned round 'em). Strip as you said to. You might need to undo a c-lip around the outside of the bearings to remove the shell. To rebuild, simply place the shell back over the main body with the pawls and springs. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, press one pawl in at a time, applying downwards pressure onto it with the outer shell. This'll just ease it on, pretty much. I've never had a pawl or spring come out, so I shouldn't think you'd need to worry about it. Generally, your freewheel will be ok for 2-3 weeks, by which time the grease will have oozed outta the seals. Just strip 'n' clean, reassemble, ride it, and after like 1 or 2 times there'll be no more grease forthcoming, and it'll be dandy  People have had Eno's last for 2 years +, so they can't be that bad... EDIT: The blue thing's just a random little crap seal that goes on the 'other' side of the freewheel to the extractor tabs. Because of the design of the freewheel, if that wasn't there you'd have clear access to the pawls and ratchet, so it's just a mud-guard, basically. It doesn't need to be removed, but can help for cleaning (Though it's all flexy, so it can be a bugger to get back on - to do it though, just run around the edge of it by the gap between the shell and the freewheel body with a thin allen key, and that should seat it nicely). If you need any more help, PM me :P
  17. You're missing the point though (this is at Monkey, before anyone says anything): black people find it offensive because whoever it's used at, the root of it all is that the person is describing them negatively by using "Nigger". This is because (repeating myself again  ) they are calling someone a "nigger", they are saying they're black, which - by using that term - becomes a negative thing. Therefore, if you called a black person a 'nigger' they'd find it offensive because it's a slight on them. If a person calls a white person a 'nigger', they're retarded either way seeing as it's the wrong term, but mainly it's just that it doesn't mean anything to a white person because they know they aren't black. In the same way as I could call my friend gay and he'd know it was a joke because we know it isn't true, if you called a white person a 'nigger' they'd know it was meant as a joke because it blatantly isn't true. If the person saying it means it in a negative way, again it's because they're ignorant of the actual meaning of the word. You can't really use f**ktards as a decent defence, Monkey :P
  18. When people use the term 'gay' like that, they're insinuating that being 'gay' is a bad thing, and are saying that the target is gay. It's still a slight against gay people because it's only used to describe someone/thing in a negative way
  19. It's fine to hate coloured people because you don't like them as a person, it's just that if it's 'cos they're black that you hate them that it's racist. I thought that'd be pretty self explanatory? Using an extreme stereotype response to try and condemn something is a bit weak, to be fair. There are coloured people that I don't like in the same way there are white people I can't stand, but the colour of their skin has nothing to do with it, so it's obviously not racism... I'm guessing also that seeing as coloured people are a minority, they're more likely to be abused either physically or verbally, hence they're probably a little touchy. Think apartheid, a load of places in the south of America, and so on... Yes, it can. It's a derogatory term made up by white people to describe black people. Therefore, it IS only derogatory to black people. In the same way "Queer" can only really be "used" against gay people as it is a put-down towards gay people.

  21. It's just if you act in a way that might incite racial tension or some weird shit like that. Well... basically, you're allowed to think it but not act on it, if you get me.
  22. "White boy" is describing your skin colour and sex. "Nigger" is using a term that was intended to show that coloured people are a lower class and are our slaves. Bit of a different. Kinda the same difference between me calling you a boy and me calling you a fanny. Get it? Anyway, yeah, that program that showed the Muslim's outside a mosque in November last year saying that Blair is a "Pig" and so on was the only time I've ever thought "Then get out of the f**king country, dickhead." Just the way that they were bleating away about how Blair's such a loser, yet they're still living here. Just kinda annoyed me. That's like the only instance I've ever thought that though... Hmm...

    "guess Who™"

The actor who plays him had the balls dropping thing happen mid-film, which, as you can imagine, f**ked over the sound of it all, 'cos it did sound like Harry's voice dropped lower half-way through. Can't remember how they resolved it, unless they hit him in the nuts with a lumphammer before every take or something.

Imagine some arm movement to show exagerration, and me just going "Hint hint" bluntly at you.
  25. Steve's been trying to sort that booster out for quite a while. Was originally trying to make it 2- and 4-bolt compatible, by having wider bottom slots with some kinda spacer or something, but I guess that's all by the wayside now... Anyway, that drawing looks pretty cool, so hopefully it'll turn out good  Nice looking site anyway. The left menu bar would probably look better compositionally if it wasn't darker than the main bit. It just looks funny...
