There are two people I know of in my year who smoked weed quite a bit who now have totally shit memory and are always constantly shakey/jittery. Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo totally pointless shit!
-
Wrong: They're either called "Double crown" because of the "Double crown", or "Triple clamp" because of the 3 clamps
-
Maybe it retains strength because of the tiny rear triangle though? Because it's so compact, it'll have a large amount of inherent strength, more so than - say - the Pashley? Not to mention that's made of thin-walled steel tubes :)
-
Their policy is not to shout "Stop", but if they see someone who looks like a suspect suicide bomber (someone, say, carrying a rucksack wearing a large coat who is running towards a tube train) they are told to shoot to kill. One person dying is better than them detonating a bomb and killing loads of people. Wow, you're the f**king coolest. I wish I could meet you in person just so I could bask in your amazingness.

I'm almost certain they don't. Don't think they've even got a park in Cardiff any more? Thought it'd closed down. Either way, Pits are the pits :)\

I wouldn't have called the Konigs a 'finished' product; they too were just prototypes? Well, pretty much prototypes leastways: They weren't the final compound, hence the change so quickly? I guess it's just that Steve's between a rock and a hard place: you need money to make and test pads, and to get money you have to sell pads.
-
How come you aren't getting anything?
-
Someone sent me some pics of their's after 2 hours use. It didn't look too great :)\ More pad material worn than you'd have really expected after such a short amount of time. I really hope Steve manages to get the perfect compound he's aiming for, which he doesn't appear to have done yet...
-
Find that little bit of money comes in handy? Get a job :) The EMA came in last year, and even though my year were still in sixth form, we didn't get anything at all. Woo. So instead, we got to sit and actually do work whilst we watched the shitheads in the year below forge notes to give to our head of year explaining their absences so they'd get their £30. Well done government, what a f**king sound idea.

After he's gapped England and backwheeled Everest, maybe your friend could sign up here, get validated and sort this out himself?

A helicoil is a steel insert that is placed inside a stripped hole on a frame. It has threads inside it, which you use for your bolts. You can buy a helicoil kit for as little as £15, just Google "Helicoil kit". Alternatively, you could get a local car garage/mechanic to do it for you for pretty cheap :-
-
Who's selling what cheap? That's just a link to 3 pages of Konas, which doesn't really mean shit? If this is just a "Oh wait, it's me. Check out my cheap stuff!" thread, it's locking time...

Maybe, but I'm leaning towards Chester more now... I've got family near there, there seems to be quite a few jobs going around there, they've got the awesome Boneyard and Bones skateparks super close to Chester, and there are loads of other good parks nearby too... Once again - thanks for the info all the same!

Jubilee clips work well for some people. Anyway, DON'T drill it! If you do, you'll have to also drill out your Magura clamps and boosters. Too much fagging around when you could either use Time-Serts or Helicoils, keep the same size bolts, and have a stronger thread all at the same time. Whatcha gonna do when you strip the M6 threads? :-"

95% of dogs are totally shit. This is the old thread. Mark

Hey all, Cheers for all the info, but I don't think I'll go to MK then judging from the reviews. Just sorta sounds a bit similar to here, really... Yeah, heard of Woburn by the way - seen pics too; pretty mental! Thanks for all the info again :- Mark

Testosterone plays a large part in how competitive you are. They did that battle of the sexes type TV show on BBC2 not so long ago, one of those test the nation things, and they did a go-kart race between a group of men and women. The women weren't super competitive as they were driving despite being cockey at first, but the men were. They monitored their testosterone levels, and the man who was in the lead had produced way more than normal than the guy in second. Unfortunately, he kept producing more and it made him more erratic, but the guy in second produced more than usual but it plateaued, and he became competitive, but not reckless. Guy who was in first got ultra stressed and crashed loads, finished 5th. The best placed woman who got 4th was tested and was shown that she'd had more testosterone in contact with her in the womb (If your ring finger is longer than your index finger, you've had more - vice versa). It apparently gives people a competitive edge, so maybe that'd explain it? Plus there just aren't really any women up to the standard of top F1 drivers? Hell, there are hardly any men either :-

I almost shat my pants. Matched the 2 lucky stars and thought I'd got 3 or 4 of the main ones. Either way, got the two lucky stars, but only got one other number so I only get a tenner. Just did the Lucky Dip thing for my numbers, couldn't be arsed picking them :-

In that you're again saying the rim rubs on the rim it's kinda hard to know what the crap you're talking about, but if it's moving side to side that ISN'T a "flat spot", that's just a buckled wheel. A flat spot is where the upright sidewalls of your rim have been crushed/bent flat, making a 'dent' in the side of the rim. Typically, they go inwards towards the centre of the rim, as opposed to out, so it shouldn't *Really* rub on the pads at all. It just sounds like you've got a buckled wheel? Either way though - Hope QR skewer or not?
-
Apart from if you even want any kind of modulation at all :- It's just On/Off...
-
I don't know your personal setup, but are you running a Hope QR skewer on the derriere?
-
No joke - get a chrome rim. Winstanleys are selling an Alex Supra E rim on a Prolite hub for £39.99. Freaking bargain!

Just wanted to say well done and congratulations to Barbara and everyone else involved for fighting so hard to get the Worlds, and then pulling it off as well as you are. It's clear you're putting a hell of a lot of effort in, so I hope you're rewarded well with a great event (and maybe some medals) :S Anyway, yeah, congratulations to you all! Mark
