  1. Been offered one of these for £20 http://www.pricepoint.com/images/styleImages/D_075%20TRUBG7.jpg
  2. Like this.... http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=56&products_id=362 Could do with a roller to go on the bottom for the chain to run on as it comes off the chain ring.
  3. Hello. Im looking at getting gears and im currently searching for a chain guide. My frame does not have ISCG mounts. Should I just get a press fit chain device or buy the ISCG mount and then get a ISCG chain device?
  4. Similar thing to what I want to do. Web design/development. Damn the code confuses me. I went to 6th form then onto college and did a BTEC National in IT but now im searching for jobs constantly. Im stuck in my retail job from when I was at 6th form. I wish I had done an apprenticeship as I still need some sort of training job.
  5. Now Splitting My Mod

  6. Im keeping a chunky 2.35 dirt tyre on the front so atleast the front won't slip away on mud I was running a motto rt but the sidewalls split..I had a slow puncture but I just pumped it before every ride as it only went so flat then stopped going down (It was still rid-able). Im thinking a another motto rt should roll better when its pumped up and stays pumped up
  7. So I should keep the rear tyre thin like a 2.0/2.2?
  8. Think im going to go for a motto digger
  9. Ahh. I have a spare axel. Only problem for me is getting the drive side crank off. I was told to take the washer off as the crank is meant to sit next to the BB cup so ive done this but the bolt still comes loose within 5-10minutes of riding The bolt thread is fine. Only other thing is the thread within the axel.
  10. Ile upload a picture shortly EDIT: Pictures are up
  11. Hello. Recently I cracked a bottom bracket cup and I have the truativ howitzer external BB. I luckily have a spare cup/bearings at home so I swapped the cup/bearings over. However even though the cup should have fitted (so a few members said on various forums) the crank arm ended up sitting right against the BB cup. As a result my local bike store fitted a washer between the BB cup and the crank arm to fill the cap. All of a sudden today my crank arm came loose so I tightened it (obvious thing). However it came lose again within 5-10 pedals. Im pretty sure nothing is rounded off. Im guessing lock-tight on the bolt won't fit this? Thanks EDIT:
  12. Ive been a weight lifter for 6 years and weights is one of the best ways to tone up! More muscle means the food you eat gets used instead of stored as fat!
  13. Hello! My dmr motto tyre has got slits in the sidewalls so its time for a new tyre. I have a kenda nevegal 2.35 on the front. I often ride on concrete but sometimes go riding in wood land but barely ever go riding real wet/slippy mud. Im thinking I should get a Kenda Nevegal DTC Tomac 2.1 for the rear for £22? Are there any cheaper alternatives which will suit my requirements?
  14. They say Avid 5, 7 and code. They should fit a 3 right?
  15. Hello. Its time to buy some new pads for my avid juicy 3. Im unsure which to get. What are the standard ones which come with the juicy 3s? I know the official ones are quite expensive and there are cheaper alternatives. Any recommendations for pads under £10 and which compound (same as the juicy 3s as the pads have been pretty good)? Thanks
  16. Yeah ile try to rebleed it myself then and get some new pads Currently the lever comes back and nearly touches the handle bar but the pads are barely existant. lol
  17. Well its an old avid 3 and the bolts are starting to go rusty and when I swapped the pads (used some part warns off my mate to keep me going) it was starting to rust around the pistons.
  18. Hello. I need new pads for my avid juicy 3 and it also needs a new re-bleed. It is quite an old brake and I may as well pay out and buy a new rear brake which will come with pads / won't need a new rebleed. Is there any where I can buy a rear disc brake without the rotor as I do not need a new rotor and it seems a waste of money to buy another. Thanks
  19. All sorted. £22, the bike mechanic spent all morning on it apparently. Hes never had to drill out a hardened bolt before. Theres a about a 1cm gap between the BB cup and the crank arm so he put a metal spacer in there.
  20. Thank you. Ile be taking my bike down to my lbs then and ile get him to drill my rounded bolt out and fit the new cup. Thank you. Ile be taking my bike down to my lbs then and ile get him to drill my rounded bolt out and fit the new cup.
  21. Hello. I found a cup in my spares box which looks the same as my Truvativ Howitzer Cups. The bottom of the cup has different numbers on it though. The one on my bike says 15-08 and the one I found says 47-06. Will I being able to swap them over?
  22. Ile have a look at shimano BB's then. If I can get the BB and the adapters for £30 ile be chuffed! PS. I just read you can get Truvativ -> Hope adaptors and there is no way im paying over £60 for a BB as I only really ride the bike lightly now.
  23. I think I forgot to mention the most important thing. They are Truvativ Howitzer cranks/BB. Im having trouble finding the BB cups alone and the Howitzer BBs are quite expensive. Im thinking may be just bid on a second hand one on ebay for the cups
