Coust Pads + Rain > Koxx Pads + Dry > Plaz Pads + Dry
(In my experience, on a 47mm Try-All rim. Fresh grind with the Plaz, fresh and worn grind with the Koxx, worn grind only with the Coust)
Me = Happy Man :(
Ive seen them ridden, so im willing to be a 'secondary test pilot'.
Tis the same for all brake pads. How did we know Koxx wouldnt rip off the backing? And Plaz? And Monty? And standard Magura pads?
We will see how they do :turned:
Riding by yourself, fall down a cliff, bosh bosh, need to know who you are at the hospital...
PS: Stop picking holes in this, its a guide, use some common sense please. Good point from you though Tic!
Havent tried them on a 'clean' rim, since I use a grind. Id imagine they work well though. A good pad is a good pad, whatever your rim has or doesnt have on it (in my experience).
The grind I have at the moment is shagged, so I need to re-do it, plus theres a few bits of manky tar/dust mixture on the rim from trying to get my Koxx pads to work.
- Instantly work better than my Koxx pads (fully bedded in) without bedding in (by 'better' I mean more bite and lock). I had some Plaz a while ago too, and didnt get on with them at all - were worse than the Koxx. This is on a 47mm Try-All rim btw - super soft cheeseuminium!
- Make a funky noise, haha.
- Fairly 'squishy', like Plaz pads.
- Good value at £16 posted (IMO, compared to up to £20 for Koxx)
- Lots of material on them (10mm) so should last a wee while.
Will say more when ive done a nice new grind and let them bed in :lol:
Danny sent them me, as a 'thankyou' for the video work ive done for them. These are one of just 6 sets which came into the UK last week. More backings are needed to make more, which they are currently sourcing :lol:
Time to fit and test them... Quality is excellent - very neat, as you can see from the pics. Pad material depth is 10mm, around double that on a Koxx Bloxk - Impressive!
Will let you know how they work later :lol:
