All well and good. But what if theres a vibration dampener? That goes straight out of the window.
Pads can still vibrate if set up at silly angles too.
My brake was silent, and awesome. Can you explain that to me? (Y)
Fair enough. I guess i hadnt considered that cos i don't have puncture issues due to not landing land like a sack of spuds (Y) (or doing big moves, i guess you could say)
Aint gonna find anything to fit that bill unfortunately...
Im sure you could seal the rim somehow. But it'd weigh a fair bit, therefore be totally pointless!
PS: Check your mail Tom (Y)
My brake used to be totally silent, but was the most powerful brake ive ever used.
Theres so many other factors. I think a 12mm thick booster, massive seatstays and 'proper' backings (not the short ones) helped dampen the noise...
Yeah, thats where the problem lies. Hope use those springs on purpose, theyre the right strength not to kill the ratchet, but still make the hub engage properly.
I dunno really, compare them with other Carbon fibre bars, and they seem cheap, or at least on the money.
Awesome bars, had mine for ages now, lots of twatting on rocks, still going strong!
Screen dumps... (PC is too gay/slow for me to be arsed with rendering).
Spring isnt right too, meant to be rectangular section, but got to the point where i couldnt be arsed any more :">
