  1. - Freehub body has abnormal marks (sprocket). Even with a cassette, you get one pronounced bit. Single speed is obvious. Cassette with alloy carrier and XC application - you get nothing, apart from one or two right at the outside of the splines... nothing like trials. - Helical spolines - more wear than normal (alu driveshell mainly). - Bearings, usually notchy, from being over tight. Often not bedded in due to not many miles. - Axle ends usually marked in strange ways, from the axle slipping in the dropouts (when landing hard on bashring). - Often damage to the left hand side of the hub shell. - Abnormal wear on teeth of ring drive (more engaging-disengaging than an XC/DH hub). - Scratched fun bolts (if it has them), with bits of brick/rock/blue paint in/on them. I think thats it...

    Ebay Help

The whole point is that the 'scam' email uses the same text as a 'real' 2nd chance offer though. So copying/pasting that text won't really prove conclusive. If Dave's email was received from eBay, then its fine. If it was received from a non-eBay email address, it's likely to be a scam. Good suggestion :-
  3. Haha, I was just gonna post that. Well, not quite as harsh as that :-

    Ebay Help

Email eBay? They'll be able to tell you if they sent you that email or not...
  5. In the MSN convo I had with him... haha, sorry.
  6. Yeah, that can happen. But the star nuts that come with the Echo forks are a good fit, and the correct size for their steerer tubes.
  7. If your star nut pulled through, you were applying too much torque to the bolt. I fitted a set just yesterday, and no problems. Take the forks down your LBS and see what star nuts they have :- A Hope HED Doctor won't fit unfortunately.
  8. Its strikingly obvious when you've seen a lot of them.
  9. Snack on fruit instead chocolate. Makes a difference. Drink plenty, it metabolises fat.
  10. Depends how much you tell it to... check the tutorial :-
  11. One of the Brisas (04 i think) was 135, yep. You'll break it anyway Mike...
  12. http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?t=12734 You wanna be using a proper camera really. Mpeg format at approx 8meg/minute, 320x240, will work fine.
  13. Only in green though...!
  14. Horizontally yes, along the line of the stays... no, not without having your BB getting full of water.
  15. Not in the slightest. The problem Rob is having, looks to be totally unrelated to his rear hub anyway...
  16. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=55775 :-
  17. Haha, my quality of English is up there with the best :- ;)" :"> Sorry bout that (Y)
  18. Haha, this is gonna be a similar result to the 'have you ever downloaded illegal stuff' thread... Its not good if the ladies in question are minging :- But thats the the right image to have (Y)"
  19. I always rip my glasses off my face when pulling garments over my head... and the floor was the handiest place to put them down (in a field).
  20. Story goes like this: Get out of car on Sunday, put glasses on floor to put my hoody on... Stand on glasses, completely raping them. Now, I kinda find them handy for when im driving etc... and I needed a bodge... http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/pics/glasses.jpg Sellotape and safety specs - perfect :- Anyone else got any bodgetastic pics then?
  21. Got some stuff that'd be alright actually... i need a rim now :-
  22. Because the backing material is very soft, and not wear resistant at all. It would be entirely possible to make some pads to work on that sort of coating... given the right knowledge.
