i can see where you are coming from with that. BUT. you have to realise wherever you go there is always shit going on like that. you will never escape it. there are some exceptions. like if you were to move into the middle of nowhere then there wouldnt be any. but i would sooner live in england than a shit load of other places around the world. although i dont particularly like the place. it is better than others

you could maybe try a head lock/head doc as opposed to the star nut and top cap? that should make it a bit safer

i have always seen it as monty trying to get more money out of the riders. im sure a trusty chris king/atomlab 26" wheel will be well stronger than a monty 25"

that is shit, what can you get for a trials bike at an auction. specialy something as individual as that if it does come back i have decided i am gonna take un noticable things off it like the headset etc. but i highly doubt it now. probably been sold for drugs 6 or 7 times over now.

just reading in for sale/wanted and came across a monty ti and in there i realised that monty hubs are not as wide as profiles, i also heard that the stock montys come with 25" wheels and tyres isnt this a bit of a rip off? basically means you are very limited to the parts you can buy for them? correct me if i'm wrong alan

how about a lawnmower engine mounted sideways and stick an axle coming out where the blade would normally go and weld a sprocket on there(on the non drive side, run a chain down to the bb shell get an old bb and weld a sprocket on each side (16 tooth would be about right) on the drive side put a chain on it going to the back wheel which you would either weld up the freewheel or stuick a fixed hub on it. then weld some foot pegs to the chainstays and put some mesh over the moving parts. just my crazy idea EDIT: might i add, make sure you put your forks on the right way in the excitement. that guy didnt

i think he possibly is. when i started riding i used to use 2 fingers for the brakes (index and middle)and it was cutting my 3rd finger to shreds. then after riding with other people i began using only my index finger and stetting the brake lever up further away from the grips, once you do this it doesnt happen anymore, even if the brake is set up to pull in quite far.

have you thought about doing the rider page all in flash? possibly with the map to start off with, then when you click on the continent, it zooms in and displays pictures of each rider in that area. then you click one of the riders and it goes to their individual page? it might take a while to do but it will be really cool. the site at the moment is really good. can tell a lot of work has been put into it

if you read in nmc lately you will find i had my bike nicked by some b*****d fanny of a chav scum willy. i was wondering if i claim on the house insurance and the bike turns up, what happens? if the bike turns up but it FUBAR (f*cked up beyond all recognition) can i still claim can i get more money than it is down for thanks muchly

to be honest if i do get it back i think im gonna get rid of it, when you get a stolen bike back it doesnt feel like yours anymore if you know what i mean, it happened to me before and i didnt like the bike anymore thanks very much

i would say get a betd cnc one, but i had one and it lasted days, it bent, but snapped when i tried to straighten it, in the mean time you can use an old booster plate if your current one has gone snap, the older magura ones (with the holes as opposed to triangles) work best, just cut one in half and pit it round your axle, screw the wheel on and then put the mech through another hole in a sensible position, then take the other half of the hanger and screw it onto the back of the mech. then you can go ride. you may have to run single speed when you do this though

a friend of mine has just bought an onza t-comp and i understand these need special headset cups as the head tube is an odd shape, what is the cheapest one he could get for it. the only one i know of is the cane creek zs. thanks very much, Alan
