  1. http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?t=37151 ^ Just wanting to pass the word on. I know how sought after these frames were/are. It's the latest version just before they got discontinued. Got the magura mounts and they got rid of that brace plate on the right hand dropout! So it's an 2005 Pure from the days of the Bounce, Team, Control. (remember those?) Shame i aint a streety rider so i wouldnt get the most out of that frame. But I expect some of the old schoolers on here to jump on it? ... Rowan? Simon?
  2. Interested in that rear tyre. .. Size? Weight? price?
  3. Why would you want to protect the chain over the frame?.... Risking damaging the frame more to save a measly chain. Chains are cheap and disposable, frames not so much. I'd feel much guiltier denting and scraping the shit out of my stay than a chain

  5. What's the exact geo of the old Zoot? Anyone know? Headangle incl. etc.? How about the weight of the frame., and how does it compare to the Inspired?
  6. Looks nice. Mark, i always wondered how come you and Stan ride Echo Urbans? I always thought you were an anti-Deng fanatic back in the day and really rooting for Inspired. I wouldve thought you;d be riding a Fourplay maybe? Same with Stan? Money going to Deng rather than Dave How would you compare riding street on a 24 inch trials bike compared to a BMX? Is it all down to the stem on 24s? Im thinking of building up a TGS inspired maybe, and maybe just swap stems if i wanna go street.
  7. I do hear of a few riders using Inspireds for comps and such. But like, if i were to set it up with the right bar and stem with fairly lightweight components, would it be comfortable to hop around on? I hated the feel of some of the old school 0mm BB rise stocks back in the day like the Onza T-Raptor and 2004 Echo Pure on the backwheel but then again could have been because i used the wrong stem for tgs. for you Inspired, Echo Urban, or any other 24" riders, when you have a go on a mate's 20" or 26", does their bike feel a shit load more comfy and smoother on the backwheel? Like you get back on your 24 and you feel like its a lump of lead on the backwheel?
  8. aight, so just to get a lowdown.. Is the Inspired a nice bike to hop around on the backwheel, or does it feel like the front end's always wanting to dip down? Like, has anyone set up an Inspired that felt ultra smooth on the back wheel? if you compare to a modern day mod or stock
  9. because a mate might be donating an old one to me.
  10. Hey, so I'm wondering, if I want to build up a 24. Like an Inspired for example, but not really at all interested in the bunnyhop/spinny/streety BMX end of riding. And just concentrating purely on TGS trials, what parts should I be looking to put on it to make it comfier for regular trials manouvering? I'm thinking about stems mainly...: what geo would be good for just stuff like backhop comfort, sidehops, etc.. And how about gear ratios? I know that the standard popular ratio for mod is 18:12... but what is the equivalent for 24"? I will be using an 18t up front. Cheers
  11. The St. Blaise frame under the Coustellier brand name is the silver/polished frame. It did apparently come in a +10 and 0mm rise version.. But I think you might be thinking of the Koxx branded Coustellier promodels.. the black one (V1) and the orange one (V2) I'm referring to the original Coust brand ones. Thanks anyways
  12. oh that's a shame. i really wanted an old Zoot. Hmm,
  13. Yep, definitely interested. Can you provide me with this shop's phone number please? I mean, do you know the guys over there at all? If so, perhaps we can reach some agreement of some sort if you can convince 'em to sell it as a frame only ? Could you PM me with some pics please?
  14. sorry i'm after a brand new frame only. Just wondering if anyone knows a place that still has one in stock
  15. Hi, I'm after a Zoot frame. The original blue T-rex shaped one. I am not a fan of the new 2010 Zoot. I'm after frame only. Would the Onza HQ happen to have any? Cheers
  16. As in title. Might be able to get one second hand. These seem to be pretty rare, and no one on the forum seems to have one? Anyone know what they're like to ride? Strong? Thanks
  17. That's kinda against the point isn't it? You wouldn't know if it's seized or not because it's just been living in the headtube for that whole time. You'd only really know if it needed to be removed. The fact is that alu frames are disposable items, so when my frame dies I'd like to carry the headset over to a new frame some day.
  18. Hi all, considering that for most Ti parts, anything from bolts to spindles/axles, it's always strongly enforced that you apply enough Copper grease (specifically!) to the Ti bits to stop them from seizing up against your alu/steel bits. Does the same hold true for the Echo/CK titanium headsets if I wanted to run one in my alu headtube? Alu headsets are always pressed in dry; 'cos I heard many times that riders across many MTB disciplines ended getting headset/headtube damage easier because sometimes they installed their Alu cups with a bit of grease inside the headset; causing the cups to be more prone to slipping inside the headtube. Anyone know? Thanks
  19. Can anyone give a proper run down or review on what the Inspired is like for pure TGS-y style riding? I mean, say if I want to ride natural or join the inch-pinching sidehoppers on streetrides and such. I know that stem/bar setup will change the feel of it totally, but say we put the ideal TGS-suited bar/stem combo on the Inspired... how does the frame in response handle? I heard from somewhere that the cockpit feels a bit cramped for things like gaps and stuff?
