Who?

i heard a lot of people had different experience does anyone still ride these frames? that python copy looks good, where can i buy that one?
-
Waterbleeding that Echo brake was a bad idea. Sure it works for an HS33, but the Echo series aren't made for that... no need to blame cos hydro brakes are designed for OIL, not water. we're just lucky that HS33s let us use water...so dont moan about Echos not working with water because thats not what theyre designed for. if you want to use water, u shouldve got an HS33 off the bat. if it looked faulty out of the box, you shouldve called tarty straight away. they are reasonable people and not bad businessman and ethically questionable people like some old shops that used to exist in the UK and don't anymore.. ehem.

I heard about this Zhi brand a long time ago, but it seems non existant now. i still see it up for sale on the web in other countries but it seems dead in england. what's up? and what frame is this? looks just like this python? was it any good? http://www.trials-uk.co.uk/files/ecomproducts-image-1814.jpg

hey everyone big thanks for all the helpful posts. That review was great amigo, just what I was looking for. Would like to hear some more opinions from some UK bashers too though. Does anyone actually ride a Python anymore? any of ur mates ride one? post up in this topic and give a review. wanna know if this frames good or not. Smokey Joe, who is Zain Wang? whats his username on this forum... how much wud 1 cost u reckon

i know grip is important But, if anyone knows, the Mow Joe uses the ORC compound by Schwalbe.. which I hope someone can shed light on. Anyways people trust 60a Maxxpro and Echo tyre compound so surely this BMX racing compound is more than grippy enough. Hell, the tarty boys are using 60a holy rollers brakeless on natural. So i doubt this Schwalbe tyre is any worse. I think lots of people are put off by the fact its a bmx tyre. well it aint like a slick street tyre ,,, its a treaded race tyre
-
dont know about that, but it's not like it's gonna matter unless you're riding super wet mossy rocks. ii forgot the model name, gotta find it FOUND: SCHWALBE MOW JOE.... 330g 20x2.0 http://si6.mtb-news.de/fotos/data/2/DSCF05288_2.jpg buy it HERE http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=24641

So the 20" tryall front tyre isn't getting changed? I know it's light already... but they could've put kevlar bead in it like a BMX tyre and their 26 versions. Schwalbe makes a very light racing front tyre... for BMX racing, and its got tread, and works out lighter than the tryall...

I still find it weird how so many riders are hating on the Hifi so much... when the geometry is near identical to so many of the modern stocks these days. I've been looking on Tarty and found a handful of frames with similar geometry. Most of them identical but with a TINY TINY bit longer WB (5 or 10mm) and stays that are only 5mm longer. The blue LE is +60 and has 375mm stays.. why does no one say how shit that frame is? 5 years on and Deng still chooses 375mm stays on all his high BB bikes... like the Typhoon 08, LE '10, etc.. Can't be that bad? and also.. what is the ideal stem LENGTH for a high BB bike? I am gonna go for 35 or 30 degree, but not sure on length..... It ranges from 120 to 150... what's the best ?
-
Haha, heard that a lot already! Ali, isn't there a post on OTN of you saying once that the Hifi is *so amazing* to ride? Going into great length about how great it is for X move and Y move. How does this frame compare to the other 2006 high BB frames? like the Pitbull 06, Adamants, Typhoons, and Czar Ivan?
-
Anyone managed to break one? This frame looks meaty as f**k and looks like it'll take a battering. I looked around on OTN and it seems there were tons of for sale topics with Hifis back in 06/07, Seems a lot of people hated this frame hehe
-
haha i would but its just sat there as a frame only. so does anyone actually have anything good to say about the Hifi then?
-
lol who gives a crap. Sick vid Neil. Stop criticising unless you can actually gap that far yourself.

So in essence, Mark, what you're saying is 24" 'street' bikes with those horrid sus forks and fugly frame designs... are just totally inferior to 24" trials bikes? Inspired, Deng, Because, Zoot, etc.. http://mongoosemountainbikes.co.cc/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Mongoose-Ritual-Street-Bike-09.jpg ^like this munter? So the only downside you listed about triasly 24"s, is... gearing. So say we just slap gears on the back which is easily done. Then that takes that disadvtange away. So am I right in saying that Trials 24"s are in every single way superior ride-wise? 'Cos they do Trials better, Spin better, are lighter, and way better looking. So what is the point of 24" street bikes now. Seriously. Unless.... do Inspireds or other trials 24s DIRT JUMP on the trails well? I'm sure they must do?

Heard from lots of places you have beef with him. Why? yeah his haircut is a bit unconventional but your comment is just a small hint of the iceberg that is your beef with him. So... why've you got sand in your vagina ? -
I still think they could've focused more on other parts of the frame to improve it rather than bunging a gimmicky pivotal built in. Just like you said, it's not at a slammed height, not so ideal. Oh well. On another note 24" trials bikes in general... seeing how Danny Mac and all the Tarty riders can thrash about as if its like a BMX.... but yet can STILL do trials on them... Does that not completely say: 24" "street" MTBs... e.g. DMRs, etc.. are just flatout outclassed? Serious question 'Cos it seems judging by Mac's riding, an Inspired with a bunch of triasly parts can easily hold its own on the streets or in a skatepark. Sure DMRs and those other fugly 24" MTB/Street/dirt bikes can do that,.. but they can't do trials. Serious question, and I'm very curious about peoples' responses and opinions of this.
-
Not liking the new Zoots one bit. Look not too far off cheap Saracens to me. Seriously. Who cares about the built in pivotal post, that's just a gimmick and pretty pointless... cos a normal seattube would do just fine if not better. Inspired are unspeakably better than the new Zoots. It's not even funny

here are the pics. they were only available through tarty for a few months then suddenly disappeared when the fugly Lynx and Piranhas came on board http://biketrialseller.com/upload_file/frames20/09_zoo_python_frame_20.jpg http://biketrialseller.com/upload_file/frames26/09_zoo_pitbull_frame_26_135.jpg

Seems there's A LOT of hatin' on this frame. Why is it so bad? I heard the Koxx Boxx had identical geo to this yet people loved the Boxx? I know 375mm stays are a bit short for a high BB frame... but does anyone know the reach of the frame? BB to headtube There must be some people that really got along with this frame, surely?
-
How do you tension the chain on this frame?
-
Trying to see if it's a common error that most Deng mods are prone to... I.e. to see if it's a design flaw?
-
yeah i know twatting the bash does this, but wondering did any other deng mods suffer from this... cos if not we could assume its just a design error of the GU TP
