Kris Holm rims don't come with a brake line indicator on the sidewall, yes they are the strongest rims, muchos stronger than DX32s. Great rims, £22 from Unicycle UK, sorted Unicycle trials rims make most bike trials rims look as weak as a granny. I've had about 5 of them, all built onto different hubs, sold them etc. and they are still going strong with their new owners. .... And going back to what dan tlite said.... Kris Holm rims are NOT Hog rims, that is absolute bull, they are narrower than Hog rims and have a slightly different shape to them, and for the last time, KH rims do not have brake line indicators . Official Facts.

As far as your attitude goes, you're a fool . ta, "zoo" xxxxx
-
Hehe, trust me it's not as comfy as it looks , cycling it for more than a mile wearing jeans, can give you serious painful thigh burns if your not a long-distance type of rider.
-
I agree with one of the guys, Kris Holm rim for strength.. Or even an Arrow Racing rim if you can manage to get hold of one in this country!

Zoo forks snapped... what can this say for the Echo Hifi/Team CNC and GU forks? Hope you get better soon mate
-
Nice to see its on the internet now as well. You wouldn't have that wheel if it wasn't for me! Nor the whole thing come to think of it Sweet, ur not that bad at riding it either

Coming.

Looks cool, simple color scheme, but still pretty neat. CLS isn't it? One thing that doesn't look so nice, I realise how ugly Zoo mod stems look on mods from a side view Bet it rides nice though

I think I'll come on this one

Zona Zip is quite a bit longer than Black Mumba 20"'s are... measured one of my friend's BM chainstays to be 355mm! with a wheelbase of 1000mm. Apart from the big length difference they are sorta the same frame in terms of shape i guess..

I'm coming too, Sponge meet at Surbiton station at around 10 yea mate? Are you going to bring your Devil or Python?
-
Joe Hodges will be there. Hope to get the St.Pauls gap filmed onto my video camera this time.

About tyre clearance, it should fit. Don't make the chain too short, as this brings the wheel in closer to the BB of the frame, and therefore could rub. Just have the chain long enough so the axle is somewhere in the middle of the dropouts. A buckled wheel/unstraight wheel won't help tyre clearance issues, but it almost certainly will fit fine.

Great video Martin! Do you remember me from when I rode Reading, I was on a blue unicycle. Awesome sidehops

Echo Lite looks nice, and seems decent priced, it's practically the 04 Echo Team as Mark just said, except it has a round downtube (04 Team had rectangular), and has a Koxx XTP 20" bashplate rather than the standard international bashplates that are used on 05 Teams, T-Pros, T-Mags etc. Remember too that both frames have different geometrys, the Zona being the longer of the two... Play around on a friend's Zona, if that really appealed to you then get it, if not, be patient and make the right decision once more is known about the Echo Lite!

There's no need to worry, it will fit, remember the Echo booster has oval holes so you can move the booster left and right along the bolts when attaching to the frame.. so it is certain to fit. A few tips when fitting: 1. Grease each bolt with copper grease preferably, this like all other greases, break down after time, but copper grease forms a slight paste and so is boosting chances of not mangling your frame's mounts. 2. Screw in the bolts with your fingers lightly to start off with, once they're definitely in straight you can start screwing them in with an allen key. Quite a few silly billys have stripped their frame threads because of this... 3. Don't be too ham-fisted when screwing in, the bolts don't need to be super tight! tighten the bolts with an allen key when the tool is vertical rather than horizontal so you don't screw it in too hard, which causes thread strip and seizing. Same sorta principle counts for installing the Bottom Bracket into a frame too.. Joe.

As your riding stock... I'd say anything like an Onza Reggie/Hog rim built onto an Onza or Hope front sealed disc hub, you can get it built on Tartybikes so you can also ask Adam more about this in far greater detail with satisfactory results Joe.

It's really not worth getting a T-Comp frame if you've managed to snap a T-Bird bashplate... the T-Bird bashplates are strong compared to the international modern bashplates as found on T-Pros for example. I think it's far more worth it to buy a Zona Zip frame, a T-Pro frame, or a T-Lite frame new off eBay. Joe.

Good riding, I'm riding London Sunday, Joe... Joe.

2005 Magura levers do generally seem to have faulty TPA's, a couple of people I ride with have had problems, but it is certainly fixable, one of them some how re-tapped it or something, making the threads smoother, and it worked again. I'm not entirely sure how he did it, but he pulled it off.

Tar does not damage the rim in anyway really, the thing that's more likely to happen is brake pads getting ripped off the backings and frame brake mounts getting stressed. To clean tar off, the best thing to use by far, is Disc brake cleaner, either Muc-Off's or Halfords, well any will do. But yeah, this is an alcohol spray that completely destroys tar, and you just need to wipe it off with a tissue. It evaporates too, and does not leave an oily residue like white spirit does! Pretty much ideal for tar-cleaning

Can't do much on a bike, but 6ft-ish on unicycle. Will get pictures of my riding soon, and a video including St.Pauls gap and Richard III's red phoneboxes

'Wheelie' hopping is probably the best way for a beginner to backwheel stuff... Simply, as Simpson described, basically just do it either a 360 full pedalstroke or 180 Half pedalstroke to backwheel, It takes time to learn the proper syncronisation, but can be very fun! Just remember to lift and kick hard and tuck! Hope this helped, Joe
