Right ok buddy. What was happening was, I was pulling the brake lever. before the pads even hit the rim, the lever locked solid when pulled it and you couldnt squeeze it backwards for nothing. Basically my brake pads woudnt even get to the rim and the lever had pulled in as far as it wanted to go. Dan....................

Right hello all. I have just been sitting here thinking and currently my back brake keeps being gay. So anyway. Im thinking of giving a rear v-brake a whirl. What i am wanting to know is: How much ruffly am i looking at for a decent one ? What lever would you recommend ? What arms ? What cable ? Whats pads ? (on a grind).
