I think youl be very very lucky to get away with riding the rocks. Soz to put a downer on things just thought you's should know.

Yep i can do a grind for you Rob no problemo & yea i used to use rockpads with mine, im now using heatsink blueberrys (as my new echo pads only lasted half the day at london) but the blueberrys dont last that long either lol Should be allot better than your poo pads set up. current injuries are a spraind right ankle, torn muscle in my left side & pulled muscle in my right leg lol not had a great few days really but oh well. right iv'e just finaly found a picy of how the springs are ment to go. Iv'e cleaned it all out and im going to use a very tiny amount of 3in1 oil & give it a good ride tonight & il post up what happens.
-
right the new spring/pawl set has arrived today but has any one got any pics of how the spring pieces go as im not sure they were in there right to start with. cheers p/s i tried the profile site but couldnt get a close up picy of which way the spring pieces go.
-
.Hub spins real smooth now & has no wobble side to side or anything .Well there has been afew times that when ive had the driver out 1 or 2 of the pawls push in then the spring piece moves round so it has no spring to push the pawl back, but im thinking maybe when the drivers in the hub shell the spring has no room to move round but i dont know? (this is why i was guna buy a new set but cant believe the price lol) .Its just had 4 brand new driver bearings and was all cleaned out then i used a tiny bit of 3 in 1 oil. .The ratchet and pawls ect all seem o.k, just the fact that sometimes after pushing them in afew times by hand they do get stuck in.
-
Is it a known thing for a profile hub to skip as i thought they were ment to be very reliable, only mine is skipping afair bit like 5 times in about an hour sesh, also if i replace the springs & pawls then surly there cant be anything else causing the prob can there?, as the chains running fine on front & rear cogs and its defo not the BB thats making the loud clonk. Sorry for the kinda noobie question but i dont fancy laying out for new springs/pawls if there is something else that i could try. Cheers Ash.
-
Take it thats not far from you as i see you ride there afair bit, its not far from clacton seafront riding about 15-20mins may have to come along next time you guys are there. Nice pics anyways.

Was guna try come to this one BUT after going on nationalrail.co.uk it looks like its buses & im sure its down to the drivers descretion wether he lets you on or not with a bike. here's what it says: Summary Description Engineering work between London Liverpool Street and Stratford One train services between London Liverpool Street/Shenfield and Chelmsford, will be replaced by buses in both directions. Buses will replace the first few services between London Liverpool Street and Stratford until London Underground services start. Engineering work between London Liverpool Street and Stratford One train services between London Liverpool Street and Colchester/Harwich International, will be replaced by buses in both directions all day.

so youve been offerd to swap your 07 for an 06? anyways if you wana find out the differances between the two have alook at the geo of the 07 on tartybikes then the geo on the 06 which can be found on trialfutur, and then you will have your answer.
-
Bloody amazing riding, well done i like the bit @ 36 secs was a nice quick wheel swap.
-
Yep all sorted Quackers has refunded me the money to have the part sent to tarty & have new bearings fitted. i think it was a genuine mistake. either way its getting sorted now by tarty. Thanks Quackers for sorting the prob out & that bike shop is shite lol
-
Quackers has offerd to refund the money of the bearings which need replacing, so im not to botherd just more waiting about now although the hub was ment to be serviced the day i paid for it which it obviously wasn't, anyways its getting fixed so all is good.
-
just spoke to adam @ tarty and it seems that it is the remains of a driver bearing , and realy im best of replacing all 4 of them. Just thought id clear that up now i know what im looking at.
