  1. well the dropouts on my 20" gu are very soft as when i nip the wheel bolts up they sink themselv's into the frame, My bolts are now countersunk halfway through my frame, which aint good. So in my opinion YES the dropouts on the GU frames are soft metal.
  2. My 20" MOD GU Typhoon long, very nice bike to ride, very flicky & strong.
  3. Yea i think you will get acheing fingers ect to start with but after a while you soon get used to it and just RIDE it out I currently have a really bad pain in one of my fingers, like its fractured or iv'e pulled a ligament, it proper hurts and iv'e had it for atleast 2 months but i just keep riding and hope it will heel itself

  5. I'm no good at describing how to do things so i won't even try, But my advice is to practice as much as possble and you will soon be able to do them, maybe try to do them on a curb for a start Check out http://www.trashzen.com/ for tips
  6. Can i ask what rim you are using & does it have a grind? as im using an 07 echo rear rim, My pads hit the rim perfectly square yet they dont sqeek and dont hold that well either. Cheers
  7. quote Stvn V. i just take the 2 plastic bars out that are on the left & right, that saves about 30 grams. it's not that havy. If weight worries you people that much then why not ride commando Sorry but it had to be said
  8. I agree with you, I have recently removed my Koxx Browns and fitted Blue Rock pads and they are crap on my set-up anyway, (echo 07 rim, light grind), Next pads im going for are "Joypads" as i have heard good thinks about these and for a tenner can't go wrong Rock Pads
  9. Sorry im no help here but i will just let you know that your not the only one with this problem. My mate is finding the same problem at the moment with his monty pr, as he tightens the bolts the snail cam moves round with the bolt, and he has the snail cams on the outside of the frame and another prob is that the wheel spacing wasn't right when he got it new from cleanbikes, so on the left side of the wheel he also has snail cam inside the frame to space it out properly. I hope you get the problem sorted
  10. Im sure they are 160mm rotors standard not 180mm, as for what is a good rotor im not sure realy, but im using an A2Z disc rotor it does the job and looks alright

  18. O.K thanks for the advice it was just a thought, by the way what was wrong with the new pads?
  19. When you change hs33 pads from the standard/original ones to say zoo pads it makes one hell of a differance in the braking power (because of the compound), well if i change the standard/original pads in my front magura julie to some aftermarket pads will it make a hell of a differance. (say for example to EBC Gold Brake Pads), or are the original pads quiet good & not worth changing?. Thanks
  20. iv'e just got that rear wheel dont diss it lol i was going for a balck rim with red hub but decided to change the wheels to gold (as im getting a gold front one sooooon), im happy with the look & thats what counts

  24. Right the route have to take is: from clacton drive to marks tey, then get a train to stratford, then get the 8:30 or 9:00 underground train to waterloo station, then ride to meet the rest of yous at the shell slopped walls, so i should be there earlyish. Will any one else be arriving at waterloo station at around 9-10 ish??.
