May be abit of a dumb question but how do you put some anti freeze in without getting air in?
-
I was reading this topic yesterday, thinking how unlucky you's are when your brakes freeze, then i went out at about 9pm and yep my brake froze solid after 5 mins i was abit annouyed but it's kinda funny aswell, i spent about 30 mins trying to adjust my pads in the freezing cold as they locked on the rim, to then realise that the brake had frozen :$
-
If you mean how much would it be for a shop to bleed your brakes, then obviously it depends on where you go but halfords in clacton is £11 per brake. but if you want ago at doing it yourself then read this http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....bleeding+magura I hope i have helped

Ebay can be good for buying but make sure you get the full details of what you are buying or when it arrives you may be disapointed. as for selling just be as honest as possible in your description, take the best pictures you can of the item at differant angles, and watch the money come in. Me and a mate basicaly make a living on ebay we both have no jobs, we just go to auction's and sales and buy anything thats going cheaper than it's usaul retail price then do an add, take afew pics and get it on ebay. I usauly start my items low to get people interested as people will soon start bidding anyway or if you want a certain price then stick a reserve on it. a standard listing is about 35p with 1 gallery pic, (thats your listing fee) and also ebay charge you when the item sells (selling fee) it's not alot about 50p depending on the total price your item made. I hope i have been of some help.

I wonder if i should get some 8mm ones then maybe mine arn't long enough as i have been using this size since i was 10. I have often wondered about trying the sugar free red bull as it's up my corner shop but the way my sugars are i didn't want to risk it. What do you guys miss the most i,e chocolate jelly sweets, cakes, drinks ect. I miss the jelly sweets and hot chocolate ( anyone know if there is sugar free hot chocolate?) I don't often get the diabetic chocolate but i do buy the sugar free jelly bears and cola bottles they are my favourites. lol also doesn't alcohol make your sugars low? so my theory at christmas would be, eat christmas pud and afew sweets then have a couple of beers and id be fine, lol

Lol, do you have full lenght needle's, as i have little needles like 5mm long same as this

Well from my front door traveling on bike it's about: .5 mins to my local sumerfields - where there is tones of walls and gaps. .10 mins to my local skatepark - where there is a little trials section. .15 mins to the town - afew streety stuff to do like bollards, wall's fences ect. .20 mins to the seafront (trials heaven) - walls, pilars, stairs, rocks ect.

Thanks for your help, Iv'e had diabeties since i was 10 im now nearly 18, I just do 1 jab in the morning & one in the evening and thats it, but i still obviously can't eat sweets or food with higher sugar than 10g in per meal & im ment to have 6 meals aday. 1 breakfast 2 inbetween luch and break fast 3 lunch 4 inbetween lunch and dinner 5 dinner 6 before bed I think i will go to my next apointment in march and see if they can change my insuline. As it seems i'm the only one on the mixtard 20, and it realy doesn't seem to be working for me. Thanks agin for your help
-
Do you have any advice for me: i,e differant insulins that you know of I weigh about 9 1/2 stone and take humilin mixtard 20 insuline twice aday morning @ 9:30 and have 32 units and evening @ 5:00 and 32 units.( thats it i dont have to have more before i eat.) My sugar levels are usualy around 8-13 which doctors say is on the high side, and over a monthly period they are 14 instead of 7 so they are double. But if i increase my insuline dose in the morning then during the day @ some point my sugars will sudenly drop and same for the evening dose, then in the night i will wake up shaky & sweating ect. I was thinking about changing to a differant insuline as it's discontinued later this year anyway but when i asked them 2 months ago the doctor didn't know what to put me on niether did the diabetic nurse and they still havn't sorted anything.

Well what do you think after reading this and the advert? http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=91879 Stolen!!!!!!!

For treating a hypo i usualy have a mars bar if i have no dextro's on me, which is abit naughty but it works quick. I must say this is one of the most helpful & interesting post's i have come across on here, It has realy helped me to read others opinions on the matter and how they cope with it, & chris_dh it's so true what you have said about it being hard to keep on top of it through the teen's what with hormone's ect, and im glad im not the only one who does find it hard from time to time. It was actualy my new years revolution to get my diabeties under better control but so far it's non existent.

I have asked him if he has the frame number, just so i can check that it hasn't been reported as a stolen bike. And he said: Item: onza t pro trials bike (190077749977) This message was sent while the listing was active. dannyf07 is the seller. i got it of e bay my self its boxed at mo so ber with me and il get it 4 u thanks I will let you all know if he does reply. He still hasn't replyed, it's ended now and what a surprise he never replied also i do know someone from jaywick who has had a t-pro stolen 2 days ago same model as this one but totaly standard, so if u see or hear of anything please pm me. Thanks (sorry thats all the details i know) I got stoped today with my mate, as the police thought one of are bikes was his and the thing was the women officer said they are looking for a silver monza with no seat and maxxis tyres, so i had to put her straight on the description, lol
-
I think its stolen, if it was his bike then surley he would write a realy good description of it to try and get a good price for it. (well i would anyway)

Seems like you have yours well under control now, I wish i could get mine like that, my eye sight is already going poo, my levels are always around 8-13 so on the high side, but if i increase my insuline in the morning it brings my sugars down lunchtime (when im usauly riding) and when i increase my insuline in the evening @ 5pm then i wake up having a hypo. My diabetic doctor was crap in my opinion thats why i stoped going, she reckoned my levels need to be 3-4 when i check them and then do my jab, my insuline is 2 part fast acting and 8 slow so if they were 3-4 then do my jab they will shoot well low and have a hypo She also reckoned it doesn't matter what time i do my jabs, well if i done the morning one at 12 and the evening one at 3 how would that be right. Thats why i didn't bother going to my apointments. My insuline is discontinued later this year (mixtard 20) so maybe i will be put on a better one more suited for me. I have to have 2 injetions aday- 1 in the morning the other in the evening. How many do you guys have? I'm thinking about having 3 aday so id have one mid-day , maybe it would help my levels?
-
You have the same BAD habits as me :$ i dont check my levels that often at all maybe twice a month, i know what they roughly are, if im realy thirsty and need to keep going to the loo then they are high, if im shaky and feel like i can hardly stand up then they are low. If i feel like none of that then they are somewhere in the middle
-
Still probably nick me or fine me, as they are so NOT understanding.

Have any of you heard about the operation that they was trying in america? they take cells out of someones liver or pancrease (cant remeber now which one) in your family & then inject them in to someone thats diabetic and it makes the pancrease start working again. also i have seen it on GMTV the doctor geza thats on there sometimes talking about an inhaler instead of injections. Never know they may bring the operation here or bring out the inhaler some days it dont realy bother me but i do have down days, like everyone else i guese But it can be anoying when i go on a ride, for example the london ride 2 weekends ago, i needed to do my jab @ 5pm but we wern't leaving till 6pm so i had to do my jab outside in front of everyone and i dont feel comfertable with that. People were probly thinking i was a drug addict or something

Good attitude and so true

Value for money= Onza Shin Digs

Yea i have to have insulin twice aday too, it was hard when i was 10 let alone being 6. No chance of getting better only worse for me. oh well
-
I also have diabeties, i have had it since i was 10, I didn't realise till i was on the pier fishing with my dad when i dromaticaly got very ill and nearly passed out, next thing i know im at the doctors and they say i have no more than 10 mins to get to a hospital or i will be in a comer, so i spent 2 weeks in hospital, To be honest im not dealing with mine very well atall (my sugar levels are usauly between 8 and 13 instead of around 4-6) my sugar levels are always abit high but asoon as i go out on my bike they drop so quick and i end up having a hypo , I find it hard to try and work out the right dose of insuline for the day in the morning as it all depends on how much excersice i do, and wether i go out on my bike. I never go to my apoinments which is silly i know but we all deal with it in are own way, and i choose to try and ignore it. I dont let it get in the way of my hobby (trials), i just make sure i always have a couple of quid with me when i go out to get a mars bar or something if my sugars go low. My opinion: DIABETIES SUCKS
