  1. Because this seals 1/4 inch punctures. Slime and others only seal 1/8th i believe.
  2. Hi people Anyone running tubeless here? (on their trials bike obviously) This is what Stans sealant can do http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sjvJXJWtAA I recently converted my real wheel to tubeless Ghetto style. For those who dont know how, this is how it works... Stretch a 20" innertube over the rim, put the valve through the valve hole on the rim and find the seam directly opposite the valve. This seam should run all around the outside of the tube. You will need to cut along this seam until you have created what looks like a belt with the 2 ends joined. Wipe this over with some soapy water to get rid of all the chalky stuff thats inside. Then fold the innertube over the edges of your rim, so it looks like an extra extra wide rimtape that overhangs at each side. Then you will need to mount half of your tye making sure the beading sits ontop of the innertube. You then add the sealant (i used stans sealant) then mount the second bead. When you have mounted both beadings you should have the cut up innertube sticking out of each side of the wheel (stuck inbetween the rim and the tyre) This will act as the seal once you have inflated the tyre. Then inflate the tyre with an air compressor. If you try and use a hand pump or a track pump it will be extremely hard work. You need to inflate it fast enough for the beading to pop against the rim. Air will be leaking out the edges while you try and inflate it, so dont think its not working. Once the beading seats properly, it wont leak. Inflate to about 50 psi and hold the wheel upright and wait a few seconds for the sealant to get to the bottom of the tyre, then shake the wheel in a motion which will make the liquid splash against the sidewalls of the tyre, turn the wheel while you do this and spend about 45 seconds to do a whole rotation. After you have done that, lay it down on its side and wipe around the tyre with soapy water and look for bubbles appearing where the rim and the tyre meet. If you see bubbles it means there is tiny holes that need sealing. While you are looking for bubbles, bear in mind that the side pointing downwards is sealing up these tiny holes. After about a minute, repeat the shaking process and put the wheel on its side again on the opposite side and check for bubbles. Keep doing this until no more bubbles appear. This means the tiny holes have been sealed. Put it in your bike and go ride. Here is a good tutorial on how to do Ghetto tubeless... Part 1: Part 2: Im currently running at around 30psi in my rear and its perfectly fine except very very occasionally it leaks a tiny bit of air when i do twisting moves where the back tyre doesnt leave the floor. For example static rear wheel 180's spins sometimes cause a tiny bit of air to leak along with a small spray of sealant. Apart from that its perfect. I can live with a bit of leaking everynow and then, its not a noticable amount and now i can do gaps as big as i want without having to worry about pinch punctures Anyone else tried this? running it?
  3. What? Id say stock personally but theres not really a right or wrong answer
  4. I had a quick search and i couldn't see it posted already but let me know if it has. Gravity defied trials racing (62.14 KB) http://depositfiles.com/files/msrkl9quz Its meant for a Sony Ericsson W850I but it works with most Sony Ericssons and some other phones. Its similar to the Trial bike pro games on miniclip, only a bit more basic... Just as fun though When you complete the first 10 tracks, you get a better bike. When you beat the next 10 tracks you get another bike and finally when you beat the last 10 tracks you get the best bike. Have fun
  5. www.imagevenue.com Simple and easy
  6. I dont think im going to be hosting this ride tomorrow. its been raining non stop for like 15 hours and its meant to be the same tomorrow. i will reorganise it for another time.
  7. Why not? You havnt ridden the logs in the woods yet. You MUST come. Daryl is trying to get a half day so he can join us at like 1:30 - 2.
  8. Haywards Heath ride next Thursday. Meeting outside the station at 1:00 Yes i know Haywards Heath, what a shithole, but theres actually a fair bit of riding. Im going to get a few pictures of some riding spots later on and il post them up so people can see what there is to do. There is a few spots with walls, stairs gaps etc and theres aslo a load of logs and fallen trees at one place. So far theres gonna be me and 5 others (Everyone at the Brighton ride on the 3rd) then 2 joining us after they finish work (they live in Haywards Heath) Meeting at 1:00 outside the station, probably going to be riding quite late so you can turn up later if you want, theres no like barriers at the station with guards to stop you taking your bike with you when you go home late so your good to go whenever you want. Anyone else in?
  9. Im in By the way Woomaster, me and my mate were in haywards heath and one of your mates talked to us and he told me to look out for you on the forum to go to brighton sometime. He has a red astra van if that helps haha. Anyway im in either way. Imma going with matheprat so whatever time is good. 07769965956 See everyone there.
  10. I was just talking to my mate and he noticed these huge cracks so i was just riding it on the back wheel for a bit and sitting around all day and then i was walking it home and they snapped clean off. No i didnt get it on video, unfortunately
  11. Sup, snapped my brisa forks yesterday... which was annoying. Hmm, i dont know, i just thought id share the pictures. My mate noticed it was cracking so i didnt ride it (much) and then i was walking it home and they completely snapped off. I have more pictures but i cant be bothered to host them etc. Anyone know of any straight forks like the brisa forks? I really want some more similar forks unlike the curved type.
  12. So hes going to buy a new bashring and then he will be left needing a new crank and freewheel... or he could get over having a blue one.
  13. wow, looks like it was a really good place to ride. You look very concentrated hehe. Im happy to see you still riding though, i bet you were the best there Anymore pics? or VIDEOS Now that would be worth seeing Keep riding! Clawz
  14. Worthing ride on the 2nd of April... yeah its like 12 hours away. Very late notice but hey, worth a try. Im leaving with 2 others at 11.05 and getting to worthing at about 11.30, so we are meeting at around 11.30 - 11.35 ish. If anyone wants to come along just turn up or give me a ring/text if you wanna meet later or if we arnt there etc. Or post on here as i will probably check before i leave. 07769965956 Thanks guys Dan
  15. Anyone else seen the Cobra inner tubes that BMX company Flybikes make. Link below... It says avalible by the end of 2005 but i havnt seen them anywhere, looks like a good idea. Hopefully the likes of maxxis, tioga etc will take on the idea. http://www.empire.co.za/jpg/news/cobratubebig.jpg If that meant nothing to you its basically an inner tube which isnt a full circle, its just 1 big length of tube that you thread through your frame and put in the tyre meaning you wont been to take your wheel out and reset your tension again.
  16. oh my god... 10 playstation 3's on store shelves... they cant be selling well... lol
  17. Someone didnt click on the link to the list of playstation 3 games... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_3_games Compare that to the 360 games list and we get... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_360_games Slightly less i believe, and the 360 has had a years head start?! "According to Game Informer, nearly every developer they talked to at X05 expressed difficulties fitting their launch titles onto a single disc." That was talking about the xbox 360, and to be honest when game developers want to be putting HD cuts scenes onto games, they just physically wont be able to. I'm not buying a playstation 3 to play playstation 2 games on... what is the point in that lmao. I'm buying a playstation 3 to play... ummm playstation 3 games on... surprisingly I don't think ive ever played a playstation 1 game on my playstation 2 and ive owned both systems pretty much from about 6 months after launch. And you know that how... The stock levels will change all the time and to be honest, i think that more people buy online due to the fact that most people will presume that the shops are sold out. Lets just see what happens when the playstation 3 launches in the UK and see how long it stays in stock for... My guess is the likes of amazon uk and play.com will be sold out in a few hours tops. Then we will really start to see the Blu-ray dvd sales exceed the hddvd sales even more than the current figues, around 100 bluray movies sold for every 48 hddvd i think.
  18. I THINK he meant find one for the price of a playstation 3 seeing as barber said So find me one for £614 or less NEW. Actually its got a lot to do with it being a high definiton dvd player. When HDDVD finally dies then microsoft are gonna stop making hddvd drives, which means a lot of people may be quite angry about buying them and finding that no more films are going to come out to play on it. No, you cant say the same thing about the playstation 3 because the playstation 3 GAMES are built onto bluray discs... so even if bluray doesnt win it wont die seeing as bluray games will still be made all the time. Ok, let me put it this way, Playstation 3 is a high definition dvd player, its games run on bluray discs which currently have 25GB of storage on a single layer. 50GB on a dual layer and a WORKING experimental bluray disc by TDK has 200GB of stoage data on 6 layers. This is the amount of storage playstation 3 game developers have for their new games. Resistance fall of man in total uses 22GB of storage space. Xbox 360 games run on standard DVD's with the most data you can possibly fit on a DVD standing at 17.1GB. I belive the xbox 360 game discs are DVD9 which have a maximum space of a mere 8.75 GB per disc. Resistance = ps3 launch title... 22GB Xbox 360 game = 1 year ahead... a maximum of 8.75GB per disc Here is where you can see that the 360 is limited to storage capacity because of the disc's it runs on. My bet is that microsoft are hoping with all their might that hddvd will win so they can recreate the games on hddvd and bring out another 360 with a built in hddvd drive. Lets just see it again... Playstation 3 disc capacity = Maybe up to 200GB per disc Xbox 360 disc capacity = umm 8.75GB per disc This is why microsoft have F&$ked up big time Hideo Kojima, creator of the famed stealth adventure series Metal Gear Solid explained in an interview with Japanese magazine Famitsu. "Metal Gear Solid 4 is only scheduled for release on the PlayStation 3 at the current time, We could port it to other consoles, but doing so would require additional staff and research and development costs. If I were to make games for the Xbox 360 or the Revolution, I'd rather create original titles that match each console's audience, instead of the Metal Gear Solid series.". Some PS3 exclusives... 1. Warhawk 2. Afrika 3. Assassin's Creed (Maybe on 360-not confirmed yet) 4. Blade Storm: Hundred Years War 5. Coded Arms: Assault 6. Devil May Cry 4(Maybe on 360-not confirmed yet) 7. Eight Days 8. The Eye of Judgment (Working Title) 9. Eyedentify 10. Fatal Inertia ("Should be Available" at Launch) 11. Fifth Phantom Saga 12. Final Fantasy Versus XIII 13. Final Fantasy XIII 14. Formula One 2006 ("Tracking" for Launch Date) 15. Full Auto 2: Battlelines (Available at Launch) 16. Genji 2 (Available at Launch) 17. The Getaway (Working Title) 18. The Wall (Also in PC) 19. Gundam: Mobile Suit 20. Heat 21. Heavenly Sword (Available at "Launch Window" Not Launch) 22. Hot Shots Golf (Working Title) 23. Killzone (Working Title) 24. Lair 25. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots 26. Monster Kingdom 27. MotorStorm (Available at Launch) 28. Virtua Fighter 5 (Also in Arcades) 29. Ratchet & Clank (Working Title) (Also on PSP) 30. Redwood Falls 31. Resistance: Fall of Man (Available at Launch) 32. Ridge Racer 7 33. SingStar (Working Title) 34. Tekken 6 35. WarDevil: Enigma 36. Unreal Tournament 2007 (Also on PC, Maybe on 360--not confirmed yet--) 37. Untitled Naughty Dog Game (Working Title) 38. Untitled Western Shooter (working title) 39. Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom ("Goal is... ...When PS3 Launches") I know your only talking about games out at this moment but if you look at whats scheduled and out for each its a close call, and being as the 360 has already been out and got a years head start, id say the playstation 3 will definitely win on the games department. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_3_games http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_360_games Over and out Dan
  19. ^^^ Did i not say that? i was aiming to bring them to a level where they both have EQUAL FEATURES ^^^ And by the way you can run linux on the PS3 and use it as a pc with a usb keyboard and mouse. Either way sooner or later you WILL end up getting a high definition dvd player so your either going to buy an HDDVD drive for your xbox 360 which will become useless, or an HD DVD player which will again be useless and more expensive, or you can buy a blu-ray player which will be around £700 OR you can buy yourself a games console, home entertainment system, High definition dvd player AND a PC all in one bundle for £600. Seems like a better deal to go with the winning format (Blu-ray) and get it for £100 cheaper than the cheapest blu-ray players than not get one at all and have to buy one later on, not to mention throwing away that 360 HDDVD drive which will be useless apart from the few hd dvd films you brought BEFORE hd dvd dies... Oh and by the way... To be perfectly honest with you... Playstation 3 is cheaper by a long shot... for £160 more... you get a FREE BLU-RAY PLAYER, AND A PC (running linux on the playstation 3 makes it a PC), AND A MEMORY CARD READER thrown in. OR you could spend £160 LESS and miss out on... a High definition DVD player which may i add are over £500 new, a PC and a memory card reader. Up to you but i know which id rather have Playstation 3 all the way... <--- Linux working on the playstation 3
  20. This is to all the people who are thinking the playstation 3 is too expensive i have constructed a comparison aiming to bring both consoles to a level where they both have equal features to see what the end price result is. Playstation 3 Console: 60GB version with 3 games; resistance fall of man, genji + motorstorm: £525 (play.com Hard drive 60GB: built in Second wireless controller: £45ish? (froogle.com) Controller charge cables (included with ps3 bundled controller, not included with second controller): £10 max? (froogle.com) Wireless networking: built in WIFI Blu ray drive: built in HDMI cable: £20ish? (froogle.com) Online play: FREE! A blu-ray movie to play on your new playstation 3? Black hawk down, the best selling blu-ray title on play.com: £14 Xbox360 Console: premium version: £280 (play.com) 3 games; gears of war, dead rising + saints row(3 top selling 360 games on play.com) £93 (play.com) Hard drive 20GB: 60GB hardrive: (20GB xbox 360 hard drive costs £65 (play.com) so when they bring out a 60GB upgrade which they might soon, its got to be at least £100: £100 + Second wireless controller: £30 (play.com) Play and charge kit (controller charging cables): £13 each, x2 for 2 controllers: £26 (play.com) Wireless network adapter: £55 (play.com) Online play: Gold 12 month subscription: £35 (play.com) HDDVD add on drive: £130 (play.com) And why not have an hddvd to play on your hddvd drive? Top selling hddvd on play.com: FIFA world cup 2006 all the goals of Germany: £15 Total prices Playstation 3: £614 Xbox 360: £764 I'm just going to take £14 off the total price of each one to make it clearer to see which works out cheaper. Playstation 3: £614 - 14 = £600 Xbox 360: £764 - 14 = £750 As you can see, the playstation 3 works out CHEAPER once you have brought all the items which don't come included with the 360. What Microsoft are trying to do here... and achieving is to sell you all the extras bit by bit so in the end you don't realize that you have ended up spending a lot more than you think. You may think the playstation 3 will die off, but we will see what happens in a years time. Also another thing, im pretty annoyed at people saying, ooooh xbox 360 games are just as good as the ps3 games, YEAH, they are... wanna know why?!?! because the game developers have had over a year to develop games for it and refine them. The vice President and chief visual officer at EA games have said that the current games they are bringing out for the playstation 3 only use 20% of the playstation 3's potential power. Add that to the fact that Microsoft is supporting a dieing format (HDDVD) only ONE movie studio with dedicated support and on the computer hardware side of the format war we have on the blu-ray team... Sony, Dell and Apple. on the HDDVD team we have... umm Toshiba? Ok, thats enough of me going on... in the end its up to you to chose, so yeah pick whichever one you want and have fun playing it Dan
  21. Yeah a black one... and ive also heard rumours about ANOTHER 360 after that with a built in hddvd drive. Im sure thats going to please all the 360 owners out there lol Microsoft are just shitting them selfs that hddvd is going to lose against blu-ray... which it is. MICROSOFT GIVE UP!!!!!!!!! NOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! BLURAY *** Playstation 3 will be better as well but we will find out for definite on march the 23rd
  22. Allow me... My new favorite riding spot... Clawz
