  1. http://van.hep.uiuc.edu/van/qa/section/Ele...30211052001.htm Thats why! "Yup, transmitting energy without wires is possible, but it has its problems." Its only a matter of time before some really clever people get rid of the problems.
  2. I was just browsing the google science and technology news when i came across this. (there is 3 pages by the way i didnt notice until just now) http://today.reuters.co.uk/News/NewsArticl...C1-ArticlePage2 Technology is getting stupid, can you imagine what would happen if the wrong people get hold of these? I still stand by my belief that there will soon be wireless electricity. Dan
  3. Your welcome, im glad its helped someone.
  4. lol, well i've only had it for 2 weeks so i cant really give a solid opinion on the performance, but its good so far, no problems. sorry i cant be more detailed. Dan
  5. Yeah, sorry i mean taking links out so that it fits nicely round my singlespeed system.
  6. I recently got a new chain after my old one kept snapping and i thought id write about it seeing as we all need chains no matter what size wheel. Chain: KHE Collapse chain Price: £15 Colours: silver-silver silver-black black-black Brought from: Tartybikes.co.uk weight: After i had cut mine down to size it was around 400 grams I chose the black-black version on the chain purely because it looked better, the chain has a flat side to the links which can handle grinding and landing hard on the chain which could snap a standard chain. The weight was only slightly heavier than my previous chain (a standard shimano chain) but it made up for the heavier weight by good looks and an overall extremely strong chain. I would advise that you purchase a decent chain tool if you haven't already got one because this chain broke the chain tool on my topek alien RX multitool. The pin just wouldn't come out, this meant a trip to my local bike shop to use a park tools chain tool which did the job. I have been riding with the chain for nearly 2 weeks now with no problems so far. The chain can fit around 9T drivers if you need it to, but i am running a 22T up front and a 20T rear. I am using this chain with singlespeed but i wouldn't recommend this chain to be used with gears as it is thicker than my standard chain and may cause disappointment when you realize it wont fit through the mech etc. I think that £15 is a reasonable price to pay for this chain as it is alleged to be stronger than the KMC cool chain. Seeing as this chain will last you at least half a year with no problems, £15 is a small price to pay and theres nothing like that safe feeling of running a brand new chain. Overall a 9 out of 10, if you are in need of a new chain then this is definitely the one to go for. I hope this will help people out. Dan
  7. my friend has a mission, when he lands on the bashplate it forces the seat tube frame upwards and it is starting to crack around the hole the seatpost goes in...save up for something else.
  8. Thank god! i thought i was the only one You can lose friends from trials, i have lost a friend because of it. We always used to ride together but when he started to get better than me he would always show off and wouldn't tell me how to learn new things, basically just get really cocky. We always used to argue about moves and bike parts when we were out and we hardly ever talk now, so yes you can lose friends from trials. Dan
  9. i dont know if you can do this, i dont have photoshop or anything but it would look pretty cool if there was a road sign on that piller with trials written on it. but all faded so it looks like its actually there. Good picture anyway. Dan
  10. Yeah, pringles tubes are pressurized aren't they A pringles tube would be the same as a normal frame because there is no pressurized air inside it. The frame we are talking about is PRESSURIZED, like an areosol can for example, which are much harder to dent than a pringles tube. Dan
  11. Hello I had this problem with one of my old maguras. This is what i did; Firstly i took the lever blade out of the lever body. Drain all the fluid out of the system. Pull the seal out and see if theres anything restricting its movement. (grit etc) maybe clean it up a bit. This solved my problem, i hope it helps. Dan
  12. ok thanks guys, much appreciated. Dan
  13. i didnt know you could just peel them off...im not talking about stickers, im talking about the ones which come on the frame. had no idea you could peel them off. Thanks anyway! Dan
  14. He asked a simple question. Why cant he get a simple answer. Does it matter what rim he uses or what grind he uses, just use your own personal expierience. How do you even know he has a bike, maybe he is getting a bike and would like to know what pads to get and if he needs a grind on the rims etc. Dan
  15. Hello I am currently running the browns on a medium grind. They have been going strong now for a few months and have well over 2/3 of pad left. I have had no problems with slipping in the wet or dry conditions. They feel very solid to ride with (the pads wont get squashed as they are a very hard compound) Depending on your preference they make a very loud squeak on my bike but it may be different on a lighter/heavier grind. Hope i've helped Dan
  16. Hello I am soon to be getting a new frame (Adamant A2). i have taken a look at the frame and i like the vinyls which they put on, but i would like to take off the small A2 vinyl when i get the frame. Is there an easy way to do this without damaging the frame or spending a lot of money? Thanks a lot Dan

  18. How come? My worse has got to be before i got my trials bike i had a go on my mates trials/street bike which he had built up out of old parts. We were at my local skatepark and we had built a ramp out of wood sheets and some pallets with a gap inbetween, put it next to the skateparks jump box so we could transfer off the real ramp onto the homemade one. at the time i didn't have a bike so i went on my friends one and tried the jump... i was aiming to land it front wheel first like a dirt jump but landed the front wheel in the middle of the jump, it got stuck and i went over the handlebars and landed face first on the concrete. luckily i managed to land with my face sideways instead of head on. i just had some cuts on my ear and scratches on my face but i also really hurt my wrist nd i could write with it for a few weeks, i thought i had fractured it or something. 19. Grrr what was that red fox called i think it was when bart had a dream or something, he met this red fox with a lightning style tail. He was cool, anyone know who i mean? Clawz
  20. That isn't the only reason people ride with low pressure, if you have high pressure how do you think you would cope on a rail? not very well. with low pressure the tyre moulds round the rail making you more stable with less chance of slipping off. I run my tyres at 20-35 psi Clawz
  21. Or get a heatsink bleed kit for £7.50 i think, (website isnt working ) and do it yourself with water and anti freeze, its dead easy Clawz
