Yeh, im quite lucky really Theres a few little villages around with like noe trals rider in each of them, and it has (i think) affected how fast they have progressed. I have heard of people trying harder when they are on there own, but thats not the case for me, i try far more and have far more fun with the other riders . depends what your looking for in a tyre. Grip? or bounce? For grip i would go for maxxis or try all And for bounce echo trial tyres or monty, with the yellow stripe cheers mike

Hey, My names Mike Hayes, i have been riding since christmas and have been on the the forum for around 3 months just browsing around and making the odd post, but i never really introduced my self. Im from mansfield and ride with JoeB, GazM, Squince (hes my brother) and Mikey, I also ride with a few others if they are out . I have recently realised in trials that you cant just leave your bike to do its own thing, and that you have to keep it serviced to avoid creaking and such I am very grateful as i get alot of help from my brother Squince. Thats about it really, on to my bike spec and review, also how i got it Spec is as follows Frame: Zoo! python long Forks: Echo easy Cranks: Tensile isis cranks with tensile uci bashring. Freewheel: acs claws B wheel: echo cnc ground rim built onto an echo fixed hub. F wheel: echo cnc rim built onto echo disk hub F Brake: magura louise freeride B brake: magura hs33 05 model with plazmatic pads B & S: Zoo! bars and Viz stem Headset: Canecreek BB: Echo i think (not sure) Chain: Kmc Kool grips: Monty Velo Booster: Echo 2 bolt Tyres: Maxxis creepy crawler Here are a few photos, my bike has changed slightly since these were taken (cranks and stem) I was considering starting trials for about a year but never thought i would be able to afford it until a bike that my brother had got stolen had been recovered, though by this point he had already had a new bike on insurence, It was recovered right before christmas which was good for me as i had 300 pounds and luckily all the insurence wanted was 350, so i got the bike and was well chuffed As you can imagine i dident have a clue if it felt good or not as i couldent do anything, But thanks to riding with some really good riders i seem to have picked it up pretty quickly i have hit a few snags in trials, first my cranks taper rounded and thought i was out for a good while, but my brother then gave me an isis BB and tensile cranks :$ . I have scratched the bike up a bit due to me starting on it as a beginner and a few dints in the down tube and chain stays but is still surprisingly in ok condition. The bike was really low as it had no spacers in and with zoo bars and stem was really quite low so i decided to buy a Viz stem they truelly are really nice stems. Not really much else to say, im getting on with the bike really well, but was considering a short bike like a monty, but was talked out of it by my brother as he thinks a suite a long bike Hope you liked my little talk Heres a Few clips of me riding my zoo, Click here Then click 'fewclips' or right click and ave tartget to save Thanks to gazm, joeb and squince for filming. Yeh, Not sure about that one. I have heard that water thats melted from ice is deionised Probably a mith i think. Just go and buy some or just bleed it with normal water. cheers andy

I disagree, firstly like it matters if you have air in your system as long as the calipers return nicely and you have a nice feel to the brake, all is good. Secondly i would pay good money to watch aliminium rust It could oxadise slightly though, which will do jack all People do say that using water rots your seals, personally i think its a load of crap Tom Booth has had hs brake bled with the same water for nearlly 2 years and i have for just over a year. Neither of us nor all the other half of the trials polulation have had any trouble with seals rotting cheers

I have had a pair of zoo! cranks, Echo (square taper), muscle man and echo cnc cranks, which i am currently running. The main problem i had with the zoo cranks was the creaking, I tried all sorts but couldent seem to get rid of it The muscle man cranks (the ones you get on a t-pro) tend to flare a bit at the taper causing them to wobble and little you can do about it. The echo cnc cranks have been really good so far, I cant really reccomend Much at this stage as I have only had them 2 months or so Hope o helped. cheers

Personaly im not keen on water, i dont like the hard feel. I tend to use lhm citreon brake fluid from halfords, Its only about 5 pounds. However if you do insist on using water make sure you put anti freeze in and use de-ironised water, This way it wont freeze or rot the seals for a very long time cheers

Fraid not, But you can put the onza t-mag and t-pro forks on a mod Personally if you have the moeny i would go for something a little lighter as they are made out of steel. I think The onza t-lite forks are light but are straight bladed and dont really apeal to me. Hope I have helped! cheers

Echo easy forks are sold at several online bike shops you would only have to type it in google and im sure shops will come up tartybikes selectbikes merseytrial(not online yet) or.. Speak to sexymike on here he should sort you out with some. cheers

I Have had... Plazmatic crm - Ive had these on a smooth and ground rim, amazing peforming pads on both ground and smooth and i belive they are the dogs on a mavic ceramic rim. Its just a shame about there peformance in wet weather but all round good pads Koxx Bloxx (browm) - Absolute outrages on a smooth rim but on a ground rim they work just as well as plazmatic and are ok in wet Rimjam greens - Are amazing pads work good in wet and dry, defionatly my faverite pad once ive put them in powerpad backings Ive had a few others but have had bad experiences, these are the only pads that have worked well Doubt it, due to there dusty compound they would last about 3 days at the most on a harsh grind or any grind to be honest. I know this through past experiences cheers

Yeh, its christmas time, wally sent something for me on christmas eve, and its still not here Its all to do with christmas, all bogged down with christmas cards. Should be back to normal soon

Like it says in the topic titlle, my fsa platinum bottom bracket with isis zoo! cranks are creaking badly, and is really annoying me, any thoughts of what it could be? Also how would i fix it? and could you tell me how to put a bottom bracket in properly? Bearing in mine i am going to be using an echo 18 tooth screw on cog. Would be much appreciated, thank you in advance

You could wait 4 months and get an echo freehub, or your best bet would be to get a profile and build it on either a ronnie or alex dx32, both very strong rims I would advise to get TartyBikes to build your wheel, immensly strong(Y) cheers EDIT:or you could just get an eno freewheel or white industries? from here
