Well from my experience, the broken valve causes it to lose the idle point, so when it moves back to idle when the clutch releases, it gets confused and the engine cuts out. Could be an EGR, I guess, but to actually be blocked is quite rare, even on lower quality fuels.

I agree with the production, it's pretty bad, but they are ace live.

Yeah, definitely sounding like a busted Idle Air Control Valve. Probably about £25 quid to replace and will take ten minutes. Obviously I can't be certain, so it could be worth speaking to a dealer about it, but I'm 90%.

Sounds like a broken idle air control valve to me. I'm guessing it cuts out as you come off the power when you slow down?
