It's not really the number of pullys, its the combined ratio. It's only if ratios are applied that you feel an difference. Same as a 1:1 ratio on bike gears, the hub will turn at the same speed as your chainring. The only thing that makes it easier, is that you only have to support your body, not a weight aswell. Edit: In terms of training aids, I'm not too keen, bit expensive really, I do occasisioanlly use that sugary lemon stuff you put in water to increase the amount of water your body takes to muscles, but only because it tastes well nice! :D

Michael, the pullys on gym equipment are ususally 1:1 so all work you put in goes into lifting the weight.

NiMH are where it's at, but make sure camera can take the capacity, if you charge it in a dock. I loaded my HP 812 up with NiMH 2100s, but it couldn't charge them, making them completely useless. Such a naff camera. :P

SLRs are designed to be adjustable, only high end SLR look-e-likies have the features there from the start, most of the time they are an after thought.

I don't do weights, but in a gym, on one of them sit down quad weighty flexy thing, I can lift 83kg, which isn't bad for someone who doesn't like weights. :( I prefere chin ups/push ups/sit ups/etc, I find working muscle groups more effective than singular muscles. Soon as I can afford gym membership I'm going to join, I really want to do more CV work. :-

Still not £300 with a lens. If you want an SLR you'll have to stretch your budget, looky. Damn annoying, means I'll have to wait an age for prices to come down, I really would love a 300D. I'm excited enough about my dad getting a 20D as it is! Edit: Look second hand, some fairly good prices going.

Cheapest didgital SLR is the Canon 350D, and it's ~£500 including lens. The Canon re-seller on ebay often have them guite cheap, but I doubt you'll mange £300 including a lens. Same story for the Nikon 70D

Yeah, that mini, as has been said so many times before, is the sex. Where'd you get your cellulose paint from, I am about to refinish a new bass of mine and have been told cellulose paint is the stufff to look out for. (Y) Unless it's in industrial amounts, don't think I'll need 5 litres.
