Why not just buy more RAM, sounds like you don't need anything much, but more RAM will give you some extra boost. 1Gb is only £70 or so, voila, saved yourself £530. More RAM would make it pretty good for video editing, that would be the main advantage, so seriously, put more into a nice TFT (possibly with built in TV tuner etc) if that's what you want.

At the moment Photoshop isn't native to the intel processor, so apple wrote Rosetta, a program which converts the binary, so it takes up quite a bit of power, as soon as photoshop is native it will be up to scratch. Besides, a G5 iMac would never compete with a Quad G5, Solo 2.1GHz Vs Quad 2.5GHz, no match...

Apple won't let OSX be ported to PCs, and besides, PCs are designed to support the binary, so it will run slow as anyway. It'll be 10.5 before the binary is able to run on PCs natively.

Nah, but he did find a live mouse in the compost bin in our garden and he made shot work of that. My sister had two but she was forced to give them up beause my parents thought she neglected them. I wanted to take them rabbiting, they were vicious, would'a been ace for ferreting. T-BAD, I have an Angora ferret, my sisters were both Albino, one of them went walkies and was found 6 hours later by someone who took her to the vets, she'd been in for a checkup that week in the very same vets, so they knew whose it was! Ferrets are ledge.

I got a ferret. Edit: probably has infinately more personality than any other domestic animal, he's ace. Dead friendly, too.
