  1. For example there is a differcne between the tray cnc ones and the echo. The try all have "slots" (sorry don't know if it's the relevant word) and th echo Tr are completely slick, that's why i assume in this case the cylinder can slip if the bolts become a bit loose.
  2. Hi evreyone! I'm thinking about buying Echo TR clamps due to weight and improvement of stiffness. But i'm wondering about the safty of these clamps. Indeed , these clamps doesn't work with washers and the inside of the clamps is completely slick. My fear is, if the bolts become loose, the cylinder can slips. I assume it can be dangerous if it happens during i'm riding. So my question is to Echo TR clamps' users: did it ever happen to one of you? Is my fear justified or not? Thanks.
  3. Problem solved! So: 239gr-backsweep 9° - Upsweep 8 °
  4. No problem In fact i thinks there are two different MAX bar : The old one very flat and the New a bit less. But that is the problem, Viz does'nt give us any information about the upsweep and the backsweep, like if anyone cares!!! It's not very professional. And i'm very interested in this bar due to the weight, but if can't find anything about the shape of the bar i'll probably buy something else... Too bad!
  5. Hi Adam! Thank you for your answer...but....i'm talking about the "new" MAXBAR not the PRO. It's supposed to be different. this is wre i got the price: http://www.trialprod.com/catalog/product_i...products_id=407 I email them and they said they put it on a scale and it's 239 gr! Look at the viz website, and indeed PRO 720 bar an MAX 720 bars seem to be quite different. MAX 720 seems ti be "less riser" than the PRO one. That's why i ask you... I try to reach with Wizbikes, but they don't answer me email.
  6. Hello everyone! I'm interesting in buying a viz maxbar 720: http://www.vizbikes.com/002.html Especially because it appears to be the ligthest alloy handlebar on the market: 239g!!!! But i can't fin any information about the upsweep and the backsweep of this bar. And it's very important to me to have a real riser bar as the rockman grey cause i'm quite tall. So, does anyone have any information about the upsweep and the backsweep of this bar? Or does anyone can tell me if it's riser than a try all or a rockman riser bar?
  7. he's talking about the lever i think, not the cable....even if odyssey linear slick are good! With the bb7: avid sd7 is just perfect. Just one complaint: the "axle" of the lever which will take some wobble. But very good for the price!
  8. My vario freeride, dirt..thing
  9. I'm running a 18-15 ratio. The frame seems stiff enough for me. Maybe less than my previous hydroxx but stiff enough.
  10. I'm currently using the same frame and it definitely needs the use of a brake booster. Too bad for saving weight....
  11. I don't think either that the tubing is too thin. But the tubing is no as oversized as it's on my 07 echo pure frame for example. Maybe it's wrong, but i juste have the feeling that the frame is not so strong. Moreover the low weight is also due to the fact that there is no extra "parts" on this frame: not any cable routing, and the "brake bosster" is very very small. That's why this frame needs an extra brake bosster.
  12. And if i crack the frame i just have to buy another one. The price is so low that it's possible to buy 3 zoo piranha for the price of a koxx, ozonys or so... So even if it will not last it will not be a disappointment. And for the price the frame is quite nice to ride.
  13. You know why everybody will have this bike.... This frame is quite light and the price is very low! I paid mine less than 200£ But i assume that cheap and light can't last.....i don't think it's a strong frame.
  14. This is my new bike: Zoo piranha. After using an hydroxx during several month, i'm really surprised...this bike feels better. Not so light: around 9.7kg. Quick spec: Zoo piranha 09 frame Echo urban fork Rockman handlebar Echo stem Front wheel: try all hub with try all rim and dt revolution spokes rear wheel: viz hub with try all rim (drilled on the outter and on the inner walls) Try all cranks Eno freewheel Rear hs 33 Front brake: avid bb7 Front tire: continental speed king supersonic (amazing tire!) Rear tire: rubber queen 2.2

someone knows what will be the approximative price of the rockman Kortz? and when it will be available?
  17. eno withe industries all the time. The best , the more reliable. Not the best engagement, but it's the only freewheel i can trust. I have mine for 4 or 5 years now. Not any skipping. Only wrong point: the price. But it worth it!
  18. Try all croco yellow are very good, especially with light grind. And very impressive with some tar. I think this is the best pads i've ever used. (Better thant plaz, atomz, try all brown, rock pad (green and blue)). Wear is not so bad ....even good.
  19. i'm well aware that a 1.7kg frame cannot last longer than a 2kg one. but as i said, i'm quite afraid that a zoo 1,7 frame will be weaker than a 1,7kg koxx frame.... but maybe it's a cliché. that why i ask your opinion. Moreover i don't ride as big as porter or even stan shaw...so
  20. I'm thinking about buying a zoo piranha 09. Not because i like the look of the frame, but more because it seems quite light with a decent geo for the price. Maybe the bb is a bit too low..... My question is: looking at the specifications of this frame do you think it can be a quite reliable frame , or do you think it'll be cracked in two month....??? Due to the price i'm thinking more like the second way..but... If someone here has bought this frame yet it will be cool if you can give your opinion. Nb: sorry for my english speaking...
  21. Yes but with horizontal dropouts!
