  5. what do you mean by an l, t or i shape??? could you explain please then ill try the new shape and see how that works... cheers
  6. i hate leesons and all those kind of frames, buuuuuuuuutttt this 1 looks sexy as f**k!!! oh my god!!
  7. mate this thing is stiff as chinks pussy
  8. ha, i see your point, the reason i made it out of fibre glass is so because i have easy acces to it and once iv made the mould it only takes 5-10 mins to make (depends on how much catalyst i use), and if you add up all the wieght iv saved by making things like boosters, tensioners, spacers, brake mounts and so on it does all add up, and if i break one of those items i can make a new one in 10 mins for free... yipee and no ive compacted the tensioner so that that its realy tough, sniff and it shouldnt crack under an impact either, ive been useing it for 3 days and still no damage... itll do... lol
  9. cheers for the coments lads
  10. ahaha, depends on what resin you use mr no it all
  11. ha, ill see what i can do...
  12. actualy it started as a square bit of material with the bar sticking out to one side, but then i just cut off as much material as i could without making it realy weak, and thats the shape that i ended up with, i swear i did not mean to copy the fresh product ones, and when i say its a proto i mean it was only to see how strong the material is and to make sure all the bolkts fit correctly and it lines up with my chain, the next one is gonna be made so it has grooves for my fibre glass mech hanger to slot into so that it doesnt come loose..
  13. well what other shape could i have made it??!! the only way that i could change it is to remove more material (adding material would be stupid, cus its un neaded), but ive already taken as much off as i can without making it weak...
  14. only a proto type, the next will be diff and not orange....lol
  15. these are made for me, so i just wanted something that i could make fast easy and i new that worked, and all tensioners are pretty much the same because theres not many ways you can can make a bar that holds a sprocket or jockey wheel.. i mean what else could i have done?? drilled it? made stupid bits that stick out everywhere? what would be the point? i only want a piece of material that the bolts fit onto correctly, holds a jockey wheel of some sort and attatches to the frame
  16. carbon was too flexy so i made it from fibre glass, its a weird colour because i marked the fibre glass out with a red pen and a black pen, once again this was only to see how strong the material would be and to make sure the size etc is right [attachmentid=7889][attachmentid=7890][attachmentid=7891]
  17. carbon was too flexy so i made it from fibre glass, its a weird colour because i marked the fibre glass out with a red pen and a black pen, once again this was only to see how strong the material would be and to make sure the size etc is right [attachmentid=7886][attachmentid=7887][attachmentid=7888]

  19. well to be honest carbon is shit for boosters as its made to be flexiable and youd probs need about 10 layers to make a decent booster, iv onle use 2 layers of carbon then some other bits and bobs just made a quick fibre glass chain tensioner aswell... pics in a bit
  20. hahaha, hmmmm well if you knew anything about carbon you would notice that i havnt cut it from a sheet of carbon, i used a mould... and it was easy to make and free as iv got loads of leftoves from other carbon things iv made... took 15 mins to make, as i sed, i got bored and thought id make a booster.... lol
  21. iv only drilled single holes for the moment, but im gonna drill slots so that i can move the booster up and down...
  22. its not oversized because if you no anything about carbon its stiff 1 way and realy flexy the other, hense why my booster is realy wide and realy thin, if you made it narrow and thick one like brisa, vise and onza make you make using carbon pointles as standard fibre glass would work just as well in that kind of shape... and by the way it weighs 45 grams...
  23. yea it will because iv drillied slots so that you can move the booster up and down, you can see on the pic because theyre just single holes to see how stiff it is...
