No this was the Prototype version, the new hubs going to be 48 eng. It doesn't skip when freecoasting.
-
I didn't know whether to give this hub a few weeks before i wrote a review on it but i may aswell write one now since as the other topic is still bumped up in "Trials Videos" Reason why it skips: The pawls are tensioned under a spring meconism, when the hub spins etc the spring losens, hense the pawls becoming slack and not as tight which leads to skipping. As long as the spring is kept tight then the hub wont skip. My first impressions of the hub was "Crap" it skipped once and i couldn't help think of it exploding on me, the skips became frequent, but then died down, it skips very little now could be a sign of it bedding in? or...... After moving from 48 eng to 72 i noticed tiny differences in my riding, such as sidehops. I was used to having that free space between clicks on the profile, so i used to rest on my engagements before preloading. I can't do this technique no more, as with the 72 if i wanted to rest on my engagement i would just move forward. I will write another review in 2 weeks, im going to see how the hub goes in that time. if it gets worse im just going to fork out for a profile again. Thanks James (Biff)

LOL, just the reaction i was expecting. i was being slightly arrogant actually, i am sorry.

I'll stick to my 72 Engage Echo hub And yes it is amazing......less bitching.

For once id love to contribute to posting on a thread, i've seen nothing but topics that dont really make much sense lurking around the New Members section. Some are just asking for advise but I only like giving advise on a topic it hasn't had over 4 replies stating the exact same thing. If New Members had topics which could actually be discussed over such as this topic here: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=76430 Which was found in Trials Chat Then I'd never complain about how un-often im validated haha.

Also, this may void warranty but who cares? Stretch the springs behind the piston in the leaver, this will make the brake stiffer, also making the pads go in towards the rim alot faster! Put abit of XC maintanence oil in the pistons in your leaver aswell every now and again.
-
Bucket and water method, 2 buckets of water both at a high and low level. Leave in top bucket. Pistons in bottom. Shoot water through the hosing untill you see air bubbles coming out of the bleed hole in the pistons. Really does work well, Say no to Magura Bleed kits!
-
They really are shit, even with a really decent bleed. There purpose is for the pads to go in at the same time, and hit the rim at the same time, they dont at all. Sometimes they do but sometimes the pistons just dont leave the rim at the same time, it would be impossible for them to hit at exactly the same time every time. When my wheel isnt central or goes out of line the splitter adjusts the pads to the placing of the wheel. But its not worth it really. But when my brake works it works well, and i think this is down to my splitter.

Only sucks when wet because its oil based......hense when added to a slight bit of water gives an oily effect to the tar.
-

The video contains bits of Danny Butler and Ben Slinger. There riding in the rain at an outdoor street competition. The song used is Fathless - Insomnia Dannys riding the Limey (old style pewter colour) And Bens riding the pewter coloured 20 inch.

Trials-forum has helped me sell my bike So it has its advantages........ I'm pretty much riding all day so i dont get time to post, pretty much all the topics are taken up with information from other members which is all you will ever need anyways, so theres no need to post if somebody has already posted whats been needed to say. The Videos posted up are ok, some are complete shite which is a major disapointment if im bored....When Trials-Nation was up all i did was switch from the Forum to Nation.

CLS training method: Eat tons of shit i.e Chocolate, chips, kebab etc.......have rest days , ride in afternoon time when your feeling awake and worthy . Theres no real training for street, only self discipline to actually kick for lines. Natural obviously takes alot of training and a balanced diet of Nutrients and carbohydrates is needed for energy.

Can't/dont compare a 26 to a 20, its just not happening.
