  1. be nice It's not crap, It's just not good The frame is actually light as joe said, But some of the parts on it are ridiculously heavy, Only the other day i stripped a mission down, to a bare frame, no forks or anything left on it, it was actually really light
  2. haha , When my dad was a mechanic i used to follow him about looking for work on cars i could do , He's taught me quite a bit
  3. Gear ratio calculator in Danny's Signature Hope you don't mind danny! http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?showuser=1 Anyway, I wouldn't recommend changing to a 16 tooth up front, that's ridiculous. Thats whats Mods use!
  4. The title says it all guys The most important possession\thing in my life is the pieces of jewelry I've inherited from my grandfather, theyre pretty precious to me and although they're worth an awful lot of money, I could never sell them What are yours?
  5. I'd go for what he said mate ^
  6. I have rode a few bikes too, Bjorn levin is a koxx sponsor, rides pretty much competition only, is very very smooth and has managed to crack 2 frames in under 2 years I can understand you sticking up for your bike mate And i'm not trying to pick holes in you, I'm just trying to help this guy make a decision he won't regret I think it's a little bit arrogant that you can't open your mind slightly to even admit there may be a better bike than the XTP in the 20 inch trials bike market, Just because its your bike. Again, i'm not trying to be rude, Just my two pence
  7. I do believe anyone can have it... The point of this topic is? Sorry if i sound rude.
  8. Thats a lush helmet, but it was at a lower introductory price when it was released, it now sits at 74 quid MBUK Magazine Review "Last year Giro mated the most popular XC helmet, the E2, with an extreme semi lid to spawn the Zen...The cooling is very effective - in fact, you'll need a headband in winter" Conclusion: Great fit, and feels like you've got a fridge on your head! In a good way Rating: 9/10 What MTB Magazine Review "Rarely has a helmet stirred such emotion...the Xen is possibly the first helmet thats has been designed espcially for the current freeride scene" Conclusion: Get used to it. This is the future of helmets Rating: 9/10 Performance 8/10 Value MBUK Magazine Review "It looks that the time and effort Giro has put into the Xen is gonna pay off" Conclusion: A specific MTB helmet, that's tough, good looking and comfy Rating: 9/10 Seems like a good idea to me mate! 9. I'm going to be brutally honest, it's a nice bike, But it's very over-rated, it rides simalar to other cheaper bikes the only plus is that it's beautiful is the aesthetics department
  10. Hey! my favourite pass time has to be going out the front of shopping stores I.E tescos and jumping on the little kiddies' rides, and start screaming at the top of my voice that its not moving, i dunno why, but i get some really funny looks when i'm doing it
  11. It has to be a giro I suggest either the GIRO Animas 06 Or the Giro E2, The E2 is a little above your budget (£79.97 on wiggle.co.uk) But Is seriously worth it, It's beautiful Thats the E2^^^ Thats the animas ^^ And is just below £60 pounds
  12. I think we are all forgetting the legendary zona frame! Check out tartybikes dude, I would buy a zona frame, save some old components and put them on the new frame, then spend the rest (if you need to) On the important bits I.E Rims, hubs, brakes Hope I helped! EDIT: www.supercycles.co.uk are selling zona frames very cheap! I'm sure mark (Mod) Would agree that they are a very sweet ride
  13. I've heard of people trying it, Their chains usually slacked themselves off though, How about one of them roller thingys that downhillers use? Sorry about the overly large image ^^
  14. Strange positions eh ? You probably won't find it funny when you start busting expensive stuff really badly
  15. Ok, I was just wondering what rims you guys prefer, The 05 echo's Or the 06's?, I've heard nothing but good about 06's on this forum,But the american's really seem to prefer to 05 ones! SO whats the verdict lads ?
  16. People cussing your bike, then turning up on group rides with apollo bikes Trying to do a gap or drop or whatever, and falling flat on your arse, when you've been eying it up for ages. The fact that parts keep breaking, and some of them cost loads to replace, IE my Eno Thats about it i think
  17. Hiya I used to have a monty x-alp maggie, I then changed to a saracen mad 2.6, and totally haven't looked back, On the monty i had dented both rims, these ones have still held up although theyre XC ones To be honest for 300 quid you can't go wrong. Cheers
  18. ^ And me But seriously, Nice to hear we have a distributor in the uk............Cheers steve(Y)
  19. Agreed^ If the lever is loose, on the underside, There should be a 5mm Bolt, Get an allen key under there and tighten it up, If you mean the calipers are loose get that 5mm allen key, and go down to the caliper, The should be a bolt there that you can do up and it holds it in place Cheers
  20. Apsolutely no performance increase, just look fly... SO in my opinion it's a no-no.
  21. Stiff compared to my old ratios, which were plain ridiculous (Had gears) :P 22-18 will be fine then? :o:P
