A friend called Don, An aussie I'm not sure whether this is even right, But that due to the distance from the hub The circumfrence makes the same power as a rotor would I.E 26 Inch wheel rim brake = 26" Rotor 20 inch wheel disc=20" rotor As you probably know, Most disc brake companies don't go any higher that an 8/9 inch rotor.

  9. I call plastic pedals, with short nails put through them ) Might really hurt, But hey, we should make the most of gravity pulling us to the pedals. In theory If i put on weight, I'd have more grip on the pedals, how weirds that
  10. I'm not been funny dude, But i'm sure you can afford a new pin! And it might be safer in the long run Wiggle says: Chains: Chain length can be adjusted when you fit it but the width has to be correct. 7 and 8-speed chains are the same width but 9-speed ones are narrower, with 10-speed narrower again. Choose the right one to match your gear system. You can use a SRAM (Sachs/Sedis) chain with a Shimano gear system - in fact, most people do! When you join a Shimano chain, you must use a new replacement connecting pin. If you change your chain, you must replace the cassette sprockets at the same time or the new chain will skip over them under load. Ok, It's not to say that not using a pin is impossible, But it will probably help you out Cheers

  15. Headsets are one thing I don't enjoy tampering with ... Anything with bearings scare me, I get a mechanic's magnetic tray and hold it directly under the headset when i slacked it off, It catches the bearings a treat I use copper ease to lube them back in. £4.99 from speeding.co.uk THIS SITE APPLIES TO CARS ONLY, THE DESCRIPTION SAYS USED TO REDUCE BRAKE SQUEAL. DO NOT USE COPPER EASE ON BICYCLES BRAKES.
  16. I wouldn't touch snail cams if each one around had Rachel Unitt on top of them naked. As mark says, Tugs are fine
  17. Is this war ? On another note... That's a great idea dude Think about the colour scheme of your room before you choose colours for the frame. Try to make something thats not too intricate, This may make the poly-whatever-it's-called weaker. Something similar to a t-pro or a zip would be cool, Make sure you keep us updated
  18. Yeah i've heard of it It's Southwest of Stockholm right ? I've heard the trials scene isn't exactly booming in sweden, But at least you have some shops! Theirs a few riders in Gothenberg and kungsbacka though

  21. Cool! Keeps you busy through the winter months huh ? Think you'll have it finished in time for crimbo? Looks sweet, awesome work
  22. Ok, My theory = You have a thin rim, and a thick rim both made from say.... Aluminium You run the same pressure, tires, on each one. The wheels are exactly identical. The thick rim would last longer right? The weight\pressure on each one would be spread through a larger surface area, So this would make it endure more abuse for longer. People say Mavic's are strongest (thin) So how is that?
