  1. yer thats because certain people are useless arn't they hudson and cannot set a brake anywhere near central or square to the rotor, that brake always worked before i sold it you, infact it was sh*t hot................ better than any bb7 anyday saying that everyone is allowed an oppinion, once a hope is set correctly they are really good, you just need to spen the time setting correctly in the way of facing and shimming, if you bodge the setting then the end result is going to be bodged aswell............ ash
  2. have your mounts faced...............makes a world of difference set up sqaure to the rotor, check the pads are not contaminated and make sure the rotoe is free from oil and debris.
  3. has anyone got date or a link to any? cheers ash
  4. yet again the whole of biketrial in the uk seems to be falling part and two sets of british rounds forming? what is going on? the sport is not big enough for this to happen in the uk....................................... can any one shed any light inot the matter? ash
  5. nice pcitures! when was that show on? ash
  6. as the title says i could do with finding out of a shop which has a headtube ream and facing tool capable of facing and reaming a integrated headtube. does anyone know of any? its needed to face the headtube on my 231 ti, which is slightly out of sqaure meaning the headset tightens unevenly so i could do with just having it faced. the integrated headtube is the type that has an outer diameter of 50mm and inner diameter of 44mm where the cups press into cheers for any help best regards ash
  7. monty had an aritcle sumwhere once as to why they used curved tubes, from what i remember its to do with the ride of the bike being more comfortable and reducing the stress in the frame. personally i think it looks good, although the radius of the curve might of just been over done slightly? maybe if it was a little lower then it would look good? apart from that the rest of the frame looks very nice! ash
  8. yer the colour from the pro bolt titanium bolts. ( the blue and the gold) is from titanium nitrade coating, it gives a very tough and durbale protective layer. they use the same coating on stanchions on the motobike forks as for the aluminium, i would avoid, very dangerous for holding a rotor. pro bolt do titianium bolts as do hope now. ash
  9. are the profile bolts not a 3/8" unc thread though? the hope are M10 ash
  10. go to your local engineerign frim and ask for two m10x35mm stainless steel cap head screws! bobs your uncle, the heads are a lot deeper and allow the use of a 8mm allen key. them hope bolts that usze the 6mm just arn't deep enough in my oppinion. ash
  11. what a mint trial, i think the weather gave it some atmosphere...................... people seemed to enjoy it anyway........... Thanks to the people who contributed and helped to run the trial! ash
  12. Spain have seen the way forward and have allowed the use of single speed in their spanish championship! you can see the details in www.biketrial-spain.com the use of 6 working gears is still needed for the worlds and in other countries including this though. i think it would be better suited following the spanish........ but thats only my oppinion. ash
  13. nowt wrong with hibernating in the mores joshy boy lol! i could do with meeting up wiht the rest of you lot etc we all aint rode in ages! ash

What a trial! was an awesome day! i don't htink that it could have run any smoother at all! the organisation was great! the weater was great and a good standard of riding going on! big thankyou! to all the people who make the trials happen! roll on the next trial! ash
  18. yer disc does look small, at first i had a 180mm with a 20mm + adapter and it looked a bit gash and flexed loads so i put a 160mm rotor on, works very nicely though............. ash
  19. i can see where you are coming from, i wouldnt call what i put bullshit though, really, not when i am close friends with the deisgner at hope, anything i post i find information about first, i have never once on this forum called anyone a liar. i take into consideration any others views, a lot of the reason the hub was changed was due to feedback from this forum. spoke tension is more tha likely the reason it is nothing to do with the ratchet please note anyone who has broekn a shell the ratchet ring has not split or cracked, it still funstions correctly, just the shell cracking around the ring anyway im not arhuing has it has been adressed. the design change is beefed up to the maximum wher the spokes are and the flanges have been changed slightyl, you can only beef them up s much there i.e. thickness due to the type of spoke used that seats in the hole drilled. it has been adressed anyway i don't no why people keep arguing about it................................. and people like me, wayne, mathew holdsworth................... had input into the hub when it was being tested. i would like to think we let people know infromation about the hope products and changes ash
  20. very nice video that rushy! we can get some more filming down in a few weeks time if you want me, you lee, and mathew ash
  21. do you really think i am thick? yuo were refering at first to the hole size in the frame i never said that 10.2 was a tapping drill size? its M10 clearance, for the fun bolt to ft in the dropout size in the frame it needs to be at least 10mm either me or you have got mixed up with what we are talking about here in the conversation i see the point that you thought i was saying 10,2 was a tapping dril size, i didnt mean that i know that 8,5mm is the tapping drill size for M10 basically i didnt realise that you were on about the axle i thought you wer referring to the dropout, sorry for any confusion ash
  22. 9mm hole for an m10 thread! you would have fun getting that bolt to fit! m10 is a m10 for a reason it means 10mm, therefore the hole needs to be m10 clearance usually around 10,2mm ash
  23. how are fun bolts weaker? you can tighten them up way tighetr than you can with a q/r fun bolts are the future ash
  24. i have a set of 26 rims front and rear, both 32 hole, rear has had 1 grind, good condition you can have them both for £25 ash
