surley cogs = shite, the pitch of them is all wrong, i once bought one and had the exact same problem, chain jumping off the sprocket, just change to a shimano dx or similar and all wil be fine, the shimno sprockets are only like £5 aswell, from looking through the thread a lot of people have had problems with these surleys cogs....................... shimano *** ash

i considered a set on my bike before, the only thing i did'nt likewas the length, i contacted pace, asking if they would possibly make a set to 400mm length, the extra charge would be £20 for this service which isnt too bad, would be interesting to know if they are still offering this service. ash

Top trial today! great weather! i could'nt belive it actually managed to stay dry after the ammount of rain we have had this week! good selection of sections! and a greta atmosphere! good thing today was that there was not a lot of waiting around, everything seemed to flow nicely and everyone finished quite quickly, i think the main reason was people following the route correctly in numerical order......... thanks to all the observers and section setters, most of all the people organising these events and making them happen! roll on the two day event! ash

if that is meant to be sarcastic? id take that back? not one ratchet has failed to date.... some do slip, yet not one has gone back broken, if your having a dig at me i also take it your having a dig at wayne, stan, mathew holdsworth joe shepheard, all the other riders locally who tested the pro 2's, not only the trials version but also the same ratchet in the standard pro 2 xc hubs aswell, ash
-
thye havnt had any 07 shells back yet, they have had 06 shells back, they dont just tell me anything, i helped with the pro 2 in the early stages and i know the designer very well, either way their customer aftercare is of an excellent standard by any menas judging by peoples comments on here. joe has'nt cracked any 07 shells (the one with the new buldge in), because owen at hope hasnt had him back with any, he did strip a ratchet thread, but what more do you expect from joe! hes a power house that lad! either way hope will always help out with problems in the time of need. greta fatrecare judging by oppinions on here. regards ash
-
just to let people know, none of the 07 shells have cracked, well none have been sent back to hope anyway, spoke to one of the guys there on monday, ash

top trial, everything went perfect, the weather was brilliant.................. my neck is soo sunburnt today. a big thankyou to all who organised and to the observers. a lot of effort and time wen tinot organising this event! this is what trials needs, the public seemed to be pretty amazed and it got the sport loads of publicity....... this is the way forward for biketrials within the uk. im looking forward to brimham now that should be a great weekend! fingers crossed for the weather ash

i would think most retailers will now have the updated version in stock, best of checking when you phone up to buy though........................... probably you're best bet is chain reaction cycles ash
-
is it me or are the disc mounts on some of those forks on the wrong leg? ash
-
pashleys were brazed aswell...........................
-
This indeed would be a very sad day, addingham is possibly the best venue up north, catering for motorbike trials aswell as bicycle trials........................... a petition is most definatley needed to try and stop this from happening.......................................... ash
-
matt loved that pashley, he even phoned up pashley to see if they would put a new top tube in for him, unfotunatley they could'nt, thats why he has had to resort in buying the simtra.......................... the pashley of his did ride very very sweet and has lasted 3 years..................... the simtra rides as good though! ash
-
grey is better than blue, end of argument! rides sweet those brakes are amazing! especially tthe back one! wow! 200mm lossens the rotor bolts, wheel and calliper! nice bike ash
-
the guy who built rushys wheel does not build for hudson, you dork hudson, hes a private wheel builder, hope build most of theres in house.............................. ash
-
hmm not too sure how carbon would work for a rotor, interesting thoughts though, would be brittle and break easily once hit on a rock though i would have imagined? ash
-
coming from the man who hasnt finished a trial yet this season............. "cough cough" retired "cough cough" we're not bashers anyway......we dont dent our rims every two minutes ash ps dx32 for the win though!
-
rushy id of thought that dx32 would have been good enough...................... holdsworth uses them and they last....................... apart from them maybe the onza rims? tryall seem a bit cheesy to me ash
-
hudson you are offically being told now by more than one person and im sure matt holdsworth will agree with me.......learn to set up a brake, i thought you told me bb7s were the best brake hudson, obviously you have said to 'simpson' they were rubbish? make your mind up lad bb7 or hope............. ash dont talk utter rubbish, there ws nothing wrong with that piston when i had it, it was no where near ceased. worked fine when i had it, maybe it was the tool setting it up? you wouldnt know if it was seized either way................................ ash
