ive got a koxx rim that looks like that, and ive had a mavic x517 thats been worse than that
-
they should be around that price yeah although they may vary in price due to there being different models i.e. pro2 with hollow lightweight axle and aluminium ratchet body for xc etc weight 285 grams pro 2 t model the t stands for trials, this will have a thicker axle and steel ratchet body, although all the ones ive tested have been aluminium ratchet bodys, (nowt but trouble when running single speed) regards ash

i will put a pic up soon, waiting for my camera sorry about the quality, i'm trying to get my camera back on high quality from low quality, thats why picture is poop! the picture shows the pro2 t trials rear hub and the pro 2 front hub as adam said they will be replacing mono and bulb models regards ash
-
i have been testing these hubs now for about 9 months, they are actually quite good, ive just got the latest trials hub, which is to be named the 'pro 2 t' the t standing for trials whereas non trials version with the hollow axle will just be named the 'pro 2' they are really light weight, about 280grams i also have the mathching front hub, this is very simialar to the bulb in terms of 20mm through axle can be used, also on both hubs the flange diameter is the same which in effect means using the same length spoke they have 48 engagement points whereas the first ones i had, had 72, these caused nothing but trouble regards ash

only had my raptor a few weeks before it cracked when using a hope mini (Y) i wouldnt say it will last long! the only problem i have ever found with this set-up is that the disc is locking the hub rather than the outer diameter of the wheel this makes backwheeling feel horrible and flexy regards ash

ive tried them on my mates bike. the knobbles arelike lego bricks, i.e. very slippy
-
think about it the pads need clearance otherwise they woudnt move out if they were a perfect fit, nothing to worry about regards ash
-
a bit off topic but...... if any of you are after braided cable for your disc try the new hope braided cable! avaialble for all hope models ive been using this for about a year now with no problems, it makes the brake feel a bit more solid and gives it good looks and is strong as hell regards ash

only problem i have ever found with mig welding is that it isnt very neat compared to say tig welding. another problem that you may encounter id with the mig torch not being able to get into all those tight spaces, i.e. between the top tube and the downtube! any how up to you but if i was you i would 'tack' the frame up with a mig when the frames in the jig then have it professionally tig welded. have a think on those reagards ash

i got my green pads yesterday! rode with them for about 3 hours yesterday and just pratting around on bike tonight, first impresions are good, although i am running on an un-ground koxx rim, i am going to be grinding it to get maximum power from the pads, they work a lot better than my previous monty pads reagards ash :(

i have to agree with matt here, theres nothing up with the springs that come in the bulb hubs regards ash
-
i dont see any point in them and theres no where to attach one to either way aprt from disc tabs ash
-
did you get a new chainring? if so this could be your problem due to the chain not matching up to the worn chainring (N)
-
i think onza are doing great at the moment, these look like some promissing designs, onza seem to be the only people who actual beleieve in the sport as they are progressing so much now and designing loads of new frames, they seem to design and test way more than any other trials company oh the carbon top tube frame looks good as does the cnc'ed one  ash
-
disc mount facing squares the disc mount to the dropout using a specially designed tool by hope, which uses an endmil cutter to face your lbs should be able to do this for you if they are half decent ash
-
well theoretically if youre using shims you are moving it outboard rather than inboard, so dont use as may spacers, it also helps to have the disc mounts faced regards  ash

1" rise on zoo riser bars as far as i am aware of ash (Y)

i always thought that the viz rims were exactly the same as koxx rims, the only difference is that the viz has eyelets1

i am a desinger engineer (manufacturing design engineer) fitter and cnc machinist. it is just fiddly bits that are being altered such as the spring design i was talking about where the chain joins regards ash
-
exscuse me, i agree with what you are saying bmx does put different demands on chains, but i dont know how you have the cheek to say i CLAIM to be an engineer, when i have been voted for and won numerous enginering awards for my work at rolls royce
-
i quite agree with what you are saying in terms of rounding up but you said this towards mr koxx who has used this hub but i also use this hub and i am an engineer who works at rolls royce and i have a clue about engineering as a make some of the worlds finest aircraft engines! :o somehow i dont understand, i have broken a kmc chain on my bmx but have never killed the trial hub it has merely skipped? i didnt know we were causing arguments regards ash
-
lee sponsored by them?only person i know him to be sponsored by is hope, airevalley and heatsink, i'm best mates with him and i didnt know, its either you been smoking the grass or me? how many xtps has he broke then i thought it was only one due to the shoddy manufacturing hardly a willy, just stating his oppinion and stating what he knew!!! reagrds ash :o
-
am i? the figures i get from mr owen hardisty the designer are 545nm this guy knows his engineering i dont know howhe works it out, i will find out tommorow and let you know (Y) ash
-
i did, the figures for my hub seem to be different regards ash :o :o
-
this guy is absolutely right he should get a job at hope :P he knows more than most of the guys there regards ash :o :P
