Try-all Or 2006 Echo Rim For Rear?
Ashley Smith replied to trials rules's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
first of all search function is always useful............. well personally id go for the echo rim due to the strength and sidewall thickness, this will fit in your pitbull as would a try-all but the new echo rims are proving to be good.... echo gets my vote ash -

-
there a little bit different to the pazzaz bars........the pazzaz bars have a thicker wall to them and higher tightening torque at the clamp, the carbon weave is also slightly different, but to be honset theres no real difference in performance ash

gee whizz that is an old hope hub you have there, i think the model was the sport but im not 100% on that, your best bet is to email hope or to try some of the online spoke calcuators which give hub dimensions, if you look for the old disc hubs they used to make etc ash

quite impressed with that video, the music suited the riding, some nice taps going on there, the sidehops were nice too, this is a place on my agenda... its going to have to be sometime soon........ good effort lads ps the only downside was the lad who was riding without a helmet on........ regards ash

just started this year, bought an 05 gasgas txt 250 pro, its the shizzle, really nice ride with plenty of power.... so far i have found that from riding cyclo trials for around 4 years that it has helped the moto trials progress quite quickly ash

you know you want to go for the cnc ones matt, i think they will suit the pashley waggon better than the drilled ones, they also look more pimp than the drilled rims. my cnc ones are holding up well, the only downside is not having eyelets still they have been good rims ash

Ive Noticed In A Few Threads Now
Ashley Smith replied to MikeCottTrials's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
i have to agree with ali on this one, ive found it difficult to adapt to my gu, compared to my previous zoo pitbull, i cant tap the gu at all, however it does sidehop better for me and hooks quite easy, so in a sence it does have its advantages, they do take a lot of getting used to, my first proper day on the gu was at the recent fun trial, this made it more difficult for me as i wasnt used to bike being sat on the back wheel, it sat nicely but felt really twitchy.......... they do take quite a bit of adapting to............... if your after a high bottom bracket frame and ride a lot of street i wouldnt advise getting one............. mine rides nice on natural but terrible on street ash -
have you been on that crack pipe again?
-
which rear hubs are you commenting on? ash
-
theres no competition really..............hope have been in the business a lot longer than echo, they have more knowledge about hubs, so basically i would go for the hope, the colours may not match exactly , but its a trial bike........does it really matter that much? also worth looking at is the new hope pro 2 front hub, this is lighter than the xc and bulb models, it also features the same size flanges on either side of the hub, this makes building wheels easier, especially for mods due to the fact that the spoke length used is the same for both sides.......... ash
-
no there not! the pro 2s are quite a lot lighter than the mono hubs the mono ti weighs 310g the pro 2 weighs in at 280g ash
-
hi, i was told off hope earlier this week that this hub has been launched now chain reaction have 200 on order try giving them or hope a call ash
