  1. the moto lever is being used with the mono trial the other lever which has not got bite point adjustment is just a new mono mini lever but redesigned all the callipers which have 25 mm pistons ( the moto and the trials calliper) will use the new moto lever ash
  2. mm the pimpness! new hope moto trial brake and mono mini brake, my mates just got a set of thise new hopes on his xc bike! there nice, better lookinh in silver than the black! 221 pr looks real sweet! ash
  3. yer would be good for it too happen, i share your views that i can't see it happening either, in a way, its a money making scheme so you have to buy the specific bolts! oh well regards ash
  4. the point im meaning is though, i like a thread to be a standard off the shelve at ay your local iron mongers i.e. a M14, these silly crank bolts with the really fine pitch are there for a reason, i know! the fine thread keeps tighter, but they are harder to get hold of than a standard bolt M14 (readily available) noting that most stockists dont 'hold' stoc of the metric fine and metric special thread range of sizes! and from first hand expericence you have to buy a batch of around a 100 in a box if you order that particualt thread size in the other point i was sgetting at is also, some botttom bracket manufacturers dont use m15 crank bolt thread, i have known m14 and m12, if it was a set size, like it was on the aquare taper (m8 fine) it might make things a little easier going sorry for the rant ash
  5. really gay thread size? why not make a 'standard' size thread for the isis bottom brackets like they did with the square aper when they used M8 fine thread? would make life easier ash
  6. it wont really sit on the back wheel that well! all depends on what you like, the urban frames are not that much money really, i think there around £220 ash
  7. hmmm 405 stays, i was thinking the same.....bit long ash
  8. just get it powder coated, stop messing about
  9. gee whizz i thought you'd be with ashton for the long run............ ash
  10. lmao sorry to stir? don't talk utter bollocks, to put it straight mate, if the spokes are all tightened too tight, then it is pulling and therfore putting stress on the hub shell, if it has nothing to do with how tight the spokes are then, please go tighten your spokes as tight as you can get them and watch what happens........................ "The ratchet ring inside is screwed in on a thread. Once it hits the end stop of the hub, if it gets spun round any further, which is inevitable in trials... the the threads will simply push the hub apart." ive never heard as much garbage in all my life, the thread would strip before it supposedly "pushes the hub appart" you just have to laugh at some peoples guesses ash
  11. thanks matt in a way you are correct, the reason some have been failing like this is due to raw material, or so i am told, when the billet is fromed and another is formed straight after it and they are in a way fused together causing a bad grain structure.... etc spot on........... again my bet as to why it has cracked, is people nowdays simply build a wheel way too tight............ causing too much stress across the hub flange............ anyhow................... regards ash
  12. is'nt anything official from hope or anything, as far as i am aware nothing is in the pipeline to create a mod pro 2 , i just had some spares from when i was testing the pro 2's, and decided to make a mod hub basically i have a standard pro 2 body, fitted with a pro 2 t barrel ( the six speed), with a shortened axle, nothing special, i think ed potts once machined a xc or mono hub to fit a mod ash
  13. hehe don't be too sure on that..........................lol................. pictures and more news soon ash
  14. that comp looks ace, some sweet riding going on there. the obstacles look quite big ash
  15. got to love you for that post mathew.................... ash
  16. master cylinder in mini is either 9mm or 10mm depending upon the year of manufacture master cylinder in pro lever, unsure............but i can check tomoz slave cylinder in c2 is 25mm slave cylinder in mini is 20mm slave cylinder in mono trial is 25mm oh buy the way if you have an old o2 calliper which is 25mm piston dia, and a mini lever, it is exactly the same as a mono trial thats how the first mono trial was first thought of ash
  17. why not, it would solve the problem? ash
  18. surely you should have been checking all your bolts on your bike, do you not use lock tight? ive never known a M10 thread work itself undone if its done up good and proper ash
  19. that creaking and cracking noise means that the wheel needs pushing out of true and retrueing, then grab parallel sets of spokes and squeeze, this relievsa any tension and initial twist in the sppokes if im right in thinking its called pre-tensioning basically, true wheel push on wheel, you will here it crack and make noises, this is relieveing 'twist' in the spokes then just nip round and re-true ash smith
  20. trials in the olympics sounds awesome, this would do wonders to the sport if this was to come true............... can anyone else spread any more information on this? ash
  21. gotta love you matt.......................... ash
