  9. unfortuantly i do not know the best place to park, i always seem to park in a very easy accessable car park, but it is quite expensive, i may have a look around today when i drive in. So.... i am coming, will be outside new street train station around 11. Adam PS: hers my number if any wants to get hold of me: 07970176556
  10. What time is everybody getting to Brum around 11 i guess, i am very tempted to come as no one else is riding closer to me, so it may be £10 petrol and an hours drive :S Adam

    Onza Limey

Steve Steve Steve Steve, you are not giving up on the hifi already??? are u not feeling comfortable on it? i always said u should have gone with a Limey, as the geo was very similar to that of your old XTP. The one i have ridden, Austin Wrights felt VERY nice, i think it was one of those frames that if i did change from a high BB i would deffinatly get one, it was nice on the backwheel and felt a nice lenght, slightly longer reach than my t-rex, or so it felt. Heres a pic of Aust's: Adam

    Oh Frames!

I am running another of the 128mm FSA's as it was the onlything i could get quickly (good ole tartybikes) tis a tad expensive at £45, but all long BB's are damn expensive. Um, i am not sure what pure forks would ride like on a control, but i see no benefits over the controls at all, especialy when the controls aren't realy much heavier, my set weigh 770-780g which is damn like for a set of forks, and especialy with me hammering them into stuff :P also the beasted up disc mout is soo much better...... Just get the controls and be quite :) Adam PS: i don't realy like the ride of long forks on any frame, that is why i have the controls, they are even shorter than the echo urbans, also in my opinion they are just as strong as the urbans.

    Oh Frames!

Yeh, as every body has said, DEFFIANTLY go for the 05 control, at £280 it is an absolute bargin, and i think it would suit u down to the ground Tom. The control forks, i will deffiantly recomend, at £70 they are VERY good, i have had a set on my bike now since april time, when i snapped my fattys, and these forks have taken quite a beating in some of the stuff i have been doing, also as they come with vee mounts or 4 bolts aswell as a disc they are more versitile than the HiFi forks (which i would love :P ) The disc mount is also the uprated 9mm thick one, which is much better than the previous shitty thin one, they are also only 400mm long, which is awsome, as short forks are much better than anything else on a bike. As for the BB's, Tartybikes have the FSA 128mm one, but it is £45 as i fond out when i killed mine, it had lasted a good 6 months though, which i think is pretty good for a BB that has to carry a 18stone rider around. I have not had experiences with the long truvativ ones. Adam
  14. Right, now that every body has gone back/started UNI and are all settled in, lets have a gander at your rooms. Here is mine, In have a feeling that for standard student accomadation at a UNI it is going to be HUGE compared to most peoples, pretty muc the size of most people living rooms  Any hoo, here is the pic, bit shitly put together, but u get the idea: So, lets see your rooms, see if anybodys uni room is bigger then mine (N) Adam PS: i appolagize for the shit pic, i did it in a hurry, and joined it in paint :-
  15. I may be very tempted in coming across, i will have to see what is happening over the weekend  Adam
  16. Can i have a pair??????? i want a silent brake (N) I am currently running Koxx greens, and they realy are AWSOME, i have a VERY loud and VERY grippy brake, anybody who has tried it would agree. Adam
  17. Call them rocks, PHA, what Beh has shown is more like it, Cornwall has some AWSOME rockery, i fooking love it, better than all this street shit, which in shropshire still isn't that good. I want some rocks near UNI, it isn't fair, they are all at home  Adam
  18. If they use a soft material, surely it may not be suitable for a frame?????? Also, you could heli coil them, heli coils are ALOT stronger than a standard thread cut into aluminium. Adam
  19. If you plan on using a rear avid, specify the frame with a post mount design, like Manitou use, this will remove the posssiblility of snapping the black adapters that are used on the avid, it will also create a much stiffer mount for the brake. Adam
  20. Very cunning Felix, making the valve hole the same as all the other square ones, and using the join as the new valve hole, very clever  Adam
  21. Bugger, oh well...... Adam
  22. Right, I dunno if this has been posted before but: My mate Rob told me about this site a while ago, basicaly, go onto the website, and type in a band who play music that u like, what it does then is compiles and playlist of bands/tracks that are very similar to each other, u can then listen to them, just like and online radio station etc, it is bloody good. Pandora.com give it a try. Adam
  23. hmmmm, All i can say is: good bye brake with any bit of wet, even with a grind. I am using pretty much the same setup but with Koxx greens and a new echo rim, and F**k me, this brake is insane it is SOOOO good, i would recomend these pads to anybody, this brake is still good even in the wet :D unlike the plazzies :P Adam
  24. I completely agree with Ben, my rear rim is holding up VERY well, it has had a grind on it since i got it and it is still nice and sharp, and the brake still holds like a beast, it is sooo stable on the rear wheel, and when riding with low tyre pressures it barely rims out, which is good for a big lad like myself. As of yet there are no dents, and i have been hammering it onto some very pointy stuff, natural and street. The overall impressions of these rims is that they are AWSOME, deffiantly better than a koxx rim for example, they are just like e ronnie, just alot wider, which is deffiantly a good thing. Adam
