Glad u guys all find it funny Unfortuantly i did not have anything to do with the actual wrapping of the room, i have been down in portsmouth all weekend getting pissed with prawn......... I came back and a few of the other house mates had done it, F**King awsome if u ask me....... new plan for the future, i was told today by a guy who went to a different college before that whilst one of his house mates was away they cleaned out his room, brought a load of Turf (yes grass) and laid the turf on the bedroom floor, they then put all his stuff back in the room and broguth a Goat (yes, living breathing animal) and put the goat in the turfed out room with some food and water and waited for the guy to come back, i have a feeling he had abit of a surprise Adam

I think that the main problem with the Long BT6 is that even with the BB rise which should make the frame feel shorter it is actualy TOO long, people who had ridden mine had said how it felt too long, this makes them hard to tap etc....... in my opinion if the wheel base on the long BT6 was reduced to maybe 1080-1090 it would make it a MUCH more managable bike, it was a phenominal bike on the back wheel, and for big power moves such as sidehops and wheelswaps (pigeons) but for any thing which requires pedaling up walls/rocks etc it was just too long, which made it to hard to lift the front end........ Also in my opinion the stem which has been designed for these frames to compensate for the high BB is TOO high, as with a 40mm BB rise u only want a stem to wich will have a rise of 40-45mm After i did some calculations i found that the current BT stem has a rise of 75mm, when i had my BT i ran a koxx 130mm 25degree rise stem which gave me 45mm rise above the 0 degree equivelent stem, which i fetl was PERFECT........ (i have a feeling Felix is currently running the same stem on his Short BT6) If the wheelbase was reduced slightly, by 10-15mm ish and retained all the other geometry the same i think the bike would be INCREDIBLE and much nicer to handle and use for pedal ups etc....... That is my oppinion, seeing as i have a feeling that i have owned a BT6 long for the longest out of everybody on the forum (i think) even though i do not have it. Adam

Right, there has been a little petty feud between 2 of my house mates whilst at uni, they have been doing certain things to each others rooms to piss them off, it first starter with filling Pete's bed with polystirene packaging and moving all his simbols on his drum kit, so......... it may have been abit over the top, but ah well...... Ingredients: As many new papers as u can find! Lots of selotape and TIME!!!!! So over the weekend whilst Stavross was away working over the weekend the plan came into action, we first got the warden to come and unlock his room for us, then began the papering! EVERYTHING was wrapped, even the cans inside his minifridge were wrapped, and then the fridge wrapped too!! All books, Food cans, Wardrobe etc was covered in news paper........ So here we go, this is what should happen when this plan succeeds Have a good laugh!! We enjoyed it, especialy when he came back at 2am after working in the pub, he started laughing at first, then began to slowing crumple into a mad rage Adam

I will not be doing it....... But my Mum did it last year, said it is and easy ride, apart from the last bit which is about a 1 mile long hill, which is very steep and windy....... Also all the slower riders make it hard as they keep getting in your way Adam
-
Rob. u best be getting one of those 24UK frames............ Steve, that frame looks awsome, if only i wasn't as big i would love to give 24 inch a try, but maybe as mikebike do custom stuff uber geo 24 inch, would be like mod for bigman Adam

They hold grinds VERY well beau, the grind on mine is atleast 4-5 weeks old and still plenty sharp enough.......... I have given my rim a hammering, not on drop gaps as big as that mind, but i am alot bigger than most riders and mine has withstood all i have pelted at it, so i would recomend them to any one Adam
-
Ok Jon, is there a name for the Main station? just so i can find my way easier if i decide to come down also, what time u planning on meeting??? Adam
-
Hmmmmm, i am quite tempted to miss one lecture and come down for this ride Does anybody know where i can park for free or very little, as it is gunna cost me £40 on the train, where as petrol will be alot cheaper........ Adam
-
No............. but, what it could be is that the skewer is not holding the wheel in the forks tight enough, i had this problem with my avid and Urban forks i had a while back, when i applied the front brake it would move the whole wheel in the dropouts, what i ended up doing was tapping the axle and bolting the wheel into the dropouts, i have had no trouble with this since then Adam PS: buy my forks, much nicer than pures
-
I recon it is your forks Jack, In my oppinion i recon u should get some new forks, Controls would suit your bike very nicely......... Adam PS: i have a set of control forks for sale, in very good condition
-
U haven't had it for long yet Joe, it may change, i think i had my BT for the longest of the high BB people on the forum, and i have now changed to a control as most people know, and i have been improving sooooo much on the control that i did on the BT.......... If u get to try one Adam, don't be overwhelmed by the "oh it feels AMAZING ont back wheel" as high BB frames have there up points, but also alot of down points, especialy when it comes to Tapping etc Thats my Oppinion Adam

Yeh, i could feel the flex of them compared to my 28 inch onza's, that is what put me off swapping my 28 inch ones for them, personaly i would go with the zoo's, i love mine. Adam
-
Hmmmmmmm i tried a set of the onza carbon 30" bars and did not like them, to me they felt flexy, much more than the 28" versions that i have been running for the past 18 months........ If i were u i would deffiantly get a set of the Zoo risers, i changed from the 28" onza's to a set of Zoos and i LOVE them, the shape just feels so much nicer, i am not getting as sore hands as i was previously either So my recomendation would be Zoo's, oh, and i have a 1085 05 control too. Adam

Um, i don't quite get what u are saying dude, plymouth is AWSOME for any level of riding!!!!!!!! But as i am driving up i will not be able to attend Adam

If only i wasn't driving back to Uni tomorow i would have come for a last beast around Plymouth Ah well, enjoy the best place to ride street ever Adam
-
Yes, well, i agree with what everybody is saying, Pallets, logs, Cars, Cotton reels etc are all deffiantly neccarsery................. Luckily for me, i have them all muahahahaha That was at its most basic stage, here it is when it was at its best, it has loads more pallets, a few cotton reals, and some home made shapes............... Sorry about the pic, it was taken from a video Unfortuantly due to living on a farm, My dad needed the space for some machinery so i had to take it all down, and whilst i was at UNI the big logs were stolen for use as horse jumps, grrrrrrrrrrr Ah well, i have fond memories Adam

My Pedals have lasted Very well, i have a set of Atomlab Aircorp, i have had them for almost 2.5 years, and only in the last couple of months have the bearings started to go, which has caused some slack in them, and the occaisional clunk when i pedal, sor for a set or £55 pedlals they have lasted longer than a set of V8's etc, meaning i would have had to have brought another pair, making it just as expensive Not 100% sure what i will be getting next though looking at the Hognesiums, but my pedals have to completely die first Adam
