The frame is made up as an assembly, this is so that if i wanted to vary little bits of the geometry for example the chainstay length i do not have to vary lots of measurements, all i have to do is open the chainstay file and change the length to what i want, it is the same for all the other parts too I need to refine it slightly, i got some measurements wrong on the disc mount, so i have re-done them at home, i also want to make the chainstays again with some 4 bolt mounts so that it looks more like the frame that i will hopefully get made. Iolo: The dropouts do deffiantly look heavy, the initial plan is to get it made out of aluminium, if this is not possible i may have to change the design so that it can be effectively be made out of steel. Glad u guys like it though. Adam

I can see what u are saying Rich, BUT........ Being a +40 on the rear means i can run either a 180mm rotor with a 160mm caliper, or a 200mm rotor with a 180mm caliper so i would still have the choice between 2 rotor sizes....... I ment to add a bar infront of the disc mount like the KOT to help with the forces, but it would have been abit of a bugger to have got it to work properly, i may have another go soon Adam

Today having a day of at college and being VERY bored i decided to havea go at building a whole frame on solid works, I am looking into getting a custom frame made sometime in the future and have had ideas on the geometry that i want for the frame, and after riding Adam Reads KOT i wanted a rear disc mount, preferable able of running a 200mm rotor for uber power. This is what i produced today: [attachmentid=2751] [attachmentid=2754] [attachmentid=2752] And the best bit of the design, the +40mm rear disc mount: [attachmentid=2753] Hope u guys like it..... Adam

Realy looking forward to this, looks like there will be an awsome turn out..... Like Mike said he is staying at my house tonight, then we will probably try to leave at around 8 tomorow to make sure we get there at a good time........ Riding will be dependant on how long we stay at the bar tonight Sara Cox is playing Adam

I did think about some DMR pedals, but the ones i have had before hurt my feet, the shape of them don't seem to get on with my feet at all......... Ian, those pedals are abit on the pricey side, well, supose the atomlabs were.......... Adam
-
Right, i have had a set of atomlab aircorp pedals for the past 2 years and the bearings have finaly decided to die on me, they are now proper loose....... So i need new pedals, don't realy want to be spending any more than £30 but if they look like decent stuff i may do. I am looking for preferably platform pedals with sealed bearings which are grippy to fook..... so what u guys recomend? Thanks Adam

A ronnie will deffiantly fit Ash...... Also, the CNC backings on the heatsink pads is thicker than on a standard pad, meaning that it will be closer to the rim than a normal pad, so in theory it should give you no problems with setting up once worn.... I have a set of CNC red pads and have been running them on an 06 echo rim with a grind which was first put on just after christmas and they are still awsome, and they have not even worn 1mm yet, which IMO is pretty darn good..... I have not actualy tried them on a fresh grind yet as the grind i have got them on now was 2-3 weeks old before i put on the pads. So it is a deffiante yes to both your questions. Adam

If i am honest Sam it isn't very good, from what me and Rob saw when we went up there last year it was all VERY techincal stuff, not much that you could have fun on, just constant techy stuff, might be worth another look when it isn't was windy as it was when we went, but in being where it is it will always be windy. I may travel across for this one, not ridden nottingham before could be interesting..... Adam

Come on guys, download this vid, tis proper old skool!! Awsome vid too Adam

I agree with Janson on this, I have had DX32's on the rear before and LOVED them they are awsome rims, they hold grinds well and are bloody strong, mine were drilled out to 22mm on the rear and 25mm on the front and never realy had a problem with them if u can get hold of one i would get it!!! Failing that an onza ronnie would surfice, very good rear rims, hold grinds well but imo because of the high sidewall they do dent slightly easier than other rims....... Adam
