  1. It depends on what end of the bike you are planning on running them: Front: Personal oppinion o prefer discs, just because they offer alot more modulation and work in allk weathers, you can get a vee brake to give you modulation but them you normaly tend to reduce the bite/hold, vee and modulation normaly means a smooth rim, add a grind into the equation and you get a brake that is seriously powerfull (bite and hold) but there will be very little modulation. Rear: Discs on the rear are very much personal prefference, some people like them because of thier silence, i have run all types of rear brakes and all of them have their strengths and weaknesses: Vee, have stupid amount of hold but lack bite generaly, vees can be made silent on the rear easily when a booster is used. Magura, Great bite but do not have as much hold as a vee, people may argue this but i am just under 20st and no magura has hold as well as a vee for me. Disc, Silent, can be grabby but when run on a 26inch there is noticable spoke flex as the disc stops the hub and not the rim. I am currently running a magura and i am liking it (after 1 year almost on a vee) I prefer the bite i can get from a magura and at the moment with Neco red pads on a light grind i seem to have suficient hold (not ridden on natural yet) Adam
  2. I am sure we can get someone to piss into a sieve from the top of the cliff that you could stand under, might do the job That would be a no by the way Adam
  3. I presume they bodged them on there with long M5 bolts and some washers. Adam
  4. I have seen other pictures of this frame and yes it does have evo mounts fitted BUT it does have 4 bolts, the reason for the evo mounts is because the 4 bolts are welded on too low, so they do not line up with the rim, they have put the evo mounts on to bring the brake to the right position.... 6. It is a photoshop someone did ages ago, unfortunatly Adam
  7. Yeh, that grinder would be ok, i got a £13 halfords one at the moment, vibrates abit but does the job! As for discs, i find cutting disks do the best job for grinds. Adam
  8. Will there be much difference between the current cannibal and the cannibal 2? Not realy a fan of the XR26 don't think it looks right..... Adam

Went for a ride with my neco pads today, standard yellow ones in plastic backings and i have to say i was very impressed, nice and bitey, decent amount of hold (about as much as you would expect from a magura ) only thing is i think the 8mm of material is a little too much, had to file mine down to give crank clearance Adam
  10. Nope, the cams have only been recessed, so the axle sits 1.5 - 2mm's into the 3mm wide snail cam meaning there is still material between the axle and frame to hold them in place Yeh, it pushed out very slighty but not agreat deal, nothing to realy worry about. Adam
  11. Some pics of the snail cam setup i am using with the chris king, as you can see they sit over the ends of the axles, which reduces the overal width. Sorry for the dark pictures, light in the living room is shocking! Adam
  12. Nope! Just stupid rushed take off, i did the gap perfectly the first time but the camera didn't get a good pic so Karl asked me to do it again Some cool pics in there Adam

  18. Glad everyone likes it! I had a play on it today at shipley glen and it is awsome, soo stiff it is un-real! To the guy saying about my freewheel setup i am running a chris king in the rear with snail cams that have been recessed so that they sit over the ends of the axle so that they do not make the spacing too wide, it is working very well! Adam
  19. Maybe..... Looking at the poics again he must have hit that bloody hard, look how far he has pushed the top across Adam
