  1. right heres what i have done. took a 2.5 maxxis off the front and replaced it with a 2.1 tioga, which has saved a lot, but its the rear which is the tank of the bike it is a ton weight, i have a 721 on hope xc and an echo tyre with a dh tube in, is it safe to drill the inside of the rim? i stil ride street on it but its like sidehops and lots of front bumps, and gaps like compy street.
  2. i just want my bike to be a bit lighter becasue at the end of the day if i get a few pounds of it it means im lifting a few pounds less on sidehops and big steps and every other trials move really. i rode an xtp yesterday and it was light and it was easier to hop etc, and felt a lot lighter
  3. right think ive got the basics now i was trying to hook a 4ft stack of pallets at the demo on saturday, i got it a couple of times, to bash then once i just about got to back wheel then slipped off thanks for the help guys :turned:
  4. hey just wondering what you think is a resonable weight for a double disc comp set up 26? and how light do you think it is safe to go to. mine weighs in at 27-28 and i want to below 25 maybe to 24. is that a ok weight? thanks

    Demo Ideas

yes we wil make sure we can ride them, just square flat pallets look crap for the crowd, quier obstacles look good i think. been studying some motor trials videos, alough they a lot more metal skips etc, alough there is a lot of cotton reels bolted together. just its how we can fix them together in 2 hours (Y)

    Demo Ideas

we doing a 2 demos this week end and on the sunday i though maybe getting some wood and nailing 2 pallets together to get a good strong and intresting shape and making some odd shapes with them rather than the boring old stacks of pallets we also have 20 cotton reels (various sizes) about 30-50 pallets and 3 tractor tyres. so has any body got any good ideas with these rather than just boring big flat gaps to piles of pallets? thanks
  8. best height to try?

  14. bongos are 3lb it says on the px site i think, and they ride absoulouty awsome
  15. what happend to your custon frame wayne?
  16. the shop then will just laugh at you if you brung a snaped mudgueard in, like waynes says a trials bike gets a lot of abuse, and if a faulty part has been riden with and caused the frame to snap, well its his fault isnt it? like riding with a set of leaky forks and it gets on your disc brakes, imo
  17. theres usually a 6month one, but like wayne says if it has been abused like a sump guard has snapped it would be doubtfull i think its more like stuff if a selctor nacks int gearbox its only parts aswell not labour "
  18. what level will the sections be compared to club trials?
  19. ive always had a high front end purely because it feels more relaxed to ride, and easier to manuel, but now on my planet-x alibongo with a +20mm bb i have a lowish bar but it still feels high its a good comprimise for manuels and shunting stuff on logs.
  20. ive always had issues with confidence on pulling the front wheel up with bunny hopping just incase the wheel plants into the step " any videos out now with a good front hook so i can look at it? thanks colly
  21. thats the thing i cant seem to get the hang of on the long bikes bunny hoping up 3ft walls to it will be hard for me to hook is it?
  22. was riding my new bike on xmas day with one of these on and it snapped withing 3 hours !!!! the sram ones are really good. :P
  23. give it a 3-4 week rest to be on the safe side, if it feels better before then dont ride as you might hurt it again (im no doctor or pyhsico) by the way :P
  24. right i hooked by a flook the other night about 40 inch if it was a hook :deej:" (N) :deej: but then i tried to do 52 inch(vertical step) in my local skate park (only got my front wheel over the top and never hit bash or got to back wheel) and im wondering how quick you have to go i had about 5-6 bike lenght run up and i pedeld to lift as i dont feel confident bunnyhopping up so could some one please give me a blufferes guide on how quick, to pedal or bunny hopped? can it be done by pedaling? and what is the best height to start on thanks :P :-
  25. done a 8.5 ft gap with a 1ft step down from a stack of pallets which i had to land on a 30 degree angle, it took me a few goes and my forks didnt like it.
