  1. Cheers guys, didn't want to get the hub and build the wheel to find it won't fit. Time to find a hub now
  2. Might sound like a silly question (hopefully won't be) and I really should know the answer myself. I have an Avid BB5 rear brake that I used to use for xc, it is a reliable brake that I have never had an issue with. I want to see about trying it as a front disc on the trials bike - will this be possible. I know I will need a different adapter/disc to mount it correctly - but with regards to the calliper, should this be possible or will it never work? I know the easiest way to find out is to try it, but I don't have the front disc hub yet so cannot fully test Thanks in advance.
  3. As part of me trying to get back onto a trials bike at 30 I have dug around in my shed. I have found some forks which I believe are some fairly old Onza forks. They were the ones that allowed you, with an adapter, to use them on either 24 or 26 inch wheels. Below is a picture of the brake mounts. I am looking for the adapters if anyone knows where I can get some. I have already contacted Onza to see if they can help (if they are their forks), but will also see who here can help. Looking for both the V-Brake mounts (rounded silver blocks and the brake mount bolt) or the magura mount adapter (just a small silver block that fits into the grove, and is then used with 4 bolt adapters) If anyone does have any, please can you provide pictures so I can make sure they are what I need, plus let me know what they want for them (I know this is sort of a wanted post, but also looking for advice if someone can point in right direction for item) Thanks in advance

    Tv series?

He uses a bow and arrow and fights crime (which Robin Hood sorta did). Get it watched, only 2 or 3 seasons so far so hopefully won't take up too much time......until next season

    Tv series?

Sherlock gets better, can't wait for next season in November Arrow is about a rich kid who was a bit of a rebel and got trapped on an island after a boat crash (more to it than just a 'crash' as the storyline is now suggesting), on that island lots of things happened to him (keep doing flashbacks during episodes to build story up) and one of those things was having to use a bow and arrow for survival. Gets back home after years and using the skills he has learnt to fight crime as a masked 'vigilante' and all that. as a say some cheesy bits but the storyline is getting interesting now - you could say he is a modern day Robin Hood in a way

    Tv series?

Game of Thrones (newly recruited to it so only just caught up) Supernatural - AWESOME!!! Bones (wife got me into it) Homeland Arrow - found it a bit cheesy at times but overall enjoyed it Loads of other stuff I get tempted to watch, but don't wanna spend too long in front of TV
  7. Awesome comp rider and doubly awesome street rider. Well made & edited video with the best riding I have seen in a long time. 2013 onwards is gonna be pretty special to follow, keep it up Jack.
  8. Just a few pics from an hour or so at today's trial, Facebook link only at the moment but will try load to Flickr or something at some point https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152185071960005.911177.739105004&type=3 Cheers
  9. Endomondo doesn't need 3g, it uses GPS to track where you go, speed, distance..etc.. and then when back with a Wifi/3G connection it will lay it out on a map and save on your account as a historical route. If you want mapping software, I use OruxMaps, but you have to download the maps of the required area to use offline, no internet connection needed to actually use, just GPS
  10. Apps: Android Assistant - general phone housekeeping and task management, free and works a treat on every android phone I used. Avast Mobile ColorNote - quick easy notes and lists Endomondo - if you do any XC/Road/MTB riding. Keeps a track of your routes, time ..etc.. using GPS Games, Angry Birds (should come as default IMO) Music Hero (Guitar hero for phone) Temple Run I had loads of issues with the facebook app so just go straight to website using internet and it displays in mobile view anyway. Same for Twitter.
  11. Enforcement is the biggest problem hence why I don't think anything will ever be done about it on any real level. The police ..etc.. struggle to enforce the law for drivers let alone other road users. The cycling community itself should be the ones putting the pressure on the rest to ensure relevant safety levels are being followed, after all when something goes wrong many people will point the finger at the cyclist especially when he/she "wasn't wearing a helmet" or "wasn't following basic safety guidelines" ..etc..
  12. Sad news, RIP and thoughts to all who knew him, especially those unfortunate enough to witness any of it. **DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT STARTING AN ARGUMENT, I AM JUST MAKING MY COMMENTS (A) ** I have to disagree with some of that Ali. Riding on roads with a helmet should, IMO, be a legal minimum requirement, like wearing a seatbelt in a car, or a helmet on a motorbike. The amount of people I see riding on busy roads who clearly have no real control of their bikes, and still don't wear a helmet is scary. Regardless of experience of bike control a helmet should be a MUST. With regards to brakeless riding I have no problem with that in set riding locations, but if you are riding on public roads with other road users then brakes should also be a minimum. What if you are approaching a crossing and don't see a woman cross with a child until the last second, or another car pull out of side road, how do you stop. I am not having a go at you Ali and respect you as a person and rider, but riding on public roads without brakes is asking for trouble. Frooty
  13. Thank you so so much Mark, that properly made me lol. As for the video, sounds like a good idea, might have to have a word with him, the bike is pretty much perfect for him, short and able to take a bit of a beating!
  14. Sorry, had trouble with Flickr yesterday, uploading as we speak. FB is set to public view so should be viewable to anyone, stupid thing it is.
  15. Yeah the Ilkley pics with Wayne are, fantastic place for riding
  16. Yes err thats what i'm after, spider was the word I couldnt think of. And that thing on the Ebay link is exactly what I need, just without the hubs, might see how much it goes for as a package Thanks err
  17. What are the called though, I keep using the word 'adapter', but I only ever find the ones that fit onto frames
  18. Sorry if my explanation is poor but here goes..... I have an old Hope Ti Glide rear hub, and its the one where to put a disc on, you put an adapter of sorts onto the hub (the disc screws onto said adapter) and secure it in place with a screw on ring that screws onto the hub. Its the adapter bit that I am missing but I cannot for the life of me find it - anyone know the proper name for it or where to get it (next stop is contacting Hope direct but thought would try here first in case anyone has one) Cheers in advance
  19. Few pics from todays riding with Wayne and Jack. Uploading to Flickr as we speak but for now just a Facebook link below (should be set to viewable by all so no FB account required): http://www.facebook....39105004&type=1 Flickr link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/12547529@N02/sets/72157629996107471/with/7341584096/ Cheers F
