Who Would Ride An Event In Doncaster
fruitbat replied to thierrymalee's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Finally someone who speaks sense. you are best of listening to this woman as she, along with others, puts a lot of effort into the tyketrials and they are a huge success, always pulling in a good crowd and more often than not being a good day. By the sounds of it though from what happened before i don't think you will get much good response from the experienced riders, the type that are needed to make an event a big success. You would be better putting up your ideas of what you are willing to do and the ideas you want to put forward that you can realistically make happen and take it from there. Some ideas will get good feedback, where others will get bad feedback. Eventually if enough people know about it and contribute to it, which will be hard work in itself, you might get a good event with a half decent turnout! -
great great frames, i think im right in saying the origional silver base was the same geo as the Ashton, which speaks for itself, not sure on the geo of the newer bases now, doubt they have changed it much, if at all its for the better, i loved mine and would definatly get another one if finances came to it, actually come to think of it i have a 2 week old one stuck in the attic, must consider getting that out IMO buy one!

3 topics based on the same conversation. not good going to say your hoping to be validated!?!? I think you need to be out there in the trials market a lot more if you want to arrange an event, New Members Chat on TF wont generate much but u need to speak to MBUK and some other magazines, and possibly some bike companies, not alwyas trials aimed companies, for them to help advertise the fact you are doing an event -
Cheers ill find out next week, if it dont work.....i know where you live. lol

But at the end of the day a lot of people will buy the products due to their high quality and reliability. I know it wont change the way i buy Hope products and the comment you mentioned about beginners, with beginners they dont ride hard enough to damage a product, well some of them do but in general they ride small stuff to begin with, and by the time they get to the level of riding which will require a hub servicing etc they will fully appreaciate the sport and how things can start to cost money

Like a lot of people have said it is about time they started charging. They have done it for free for years and some people have taken advantage of this, but at the same time some have been using the services only when they need it I certainly would pay for the service they offered as it is 100% top notch. Like you say Wayne i think most of it will be down to honesty. Fair enough some people will still rip them off but as long as the majority are using the services honestly it means they will start making more money and start to offer higher quality products so they can continue to be top of the market

Great guide there, mucho help as im just doing mine currently Quick question though, i see with the Autosol you have used the drill cloth thing, would it work just as well using a rag to polish it into the frame or would it leave it streaky?

if u click the bunny at the bottom of the page i beleive it takes you to the dedications/thoughts page, read some of them and you will slowly understand what a great guy he was RIP DeeJ

it was something i beleive started by Deej, RIP. Just started as a laff more than anything and grew, i think its more now dedicated to his memory!

if you break it whilst doing trials then no, they see that as abuse to the bike and with abuse it will break As for cross threading it only does that if u aint careful. i worked in Aire Valley and done plenty of work on Onzas and never once had one cross thread anywhere With you buying it on Ebay i doubt you will get much, if any warranty

that young lad on the red 16"er put his heart into it. Well done to his dad for giving him so much encouragement! A lot of people i saw on my section IMO could have pushed themselves a bit more, by that i mean they were doing a course which looked too easy for them and they could have moved up a catagory. I have also seen a lot of people improving since last time i was riding. A lot of people, namely Lois Morgan and Chris Boyes, have improved so much since before and its great to see. Well done u2 and so many others in their shoes As i forgot last post, cheers to Bucky for the lift there Frooty P.S hope not so many cars get stuck at the British round as it was rather fun pushing them out, even if we didn't get to see sexymike motor tip over, lol

Tell you what, i didn't ride, just got roped into observing but it well worth the effort The trials was great day, the weather, as cold as it was, was pretty good, not too warm but not too cold as i was kept moving up and down thehillside! Some great riding from everyone, with lots of people putting a lot of effort in and people really helping and cheering on some of the new ridiers, whats trials should be all about! Great thanks to everyone who helped, the organisers and all the other observers (i know how tiring it was) Cheers to Wayne forthehelp with clearing the queues, should be a few moreof them about, just floating from section to section doing as Wayne did today! Top man And yay atme getting a bottle of wine for my duty, might have to do it more often, lol See you at the next one,if i got the day off! Frooty

Give it some pasty (notice another yorkshire man agrees with that one) One based around a conversation me Bucky and Lee Buchanan were having at a trial is "a good rider is a great Koxx Hooker"

Its definalty not Wayne, he aint even from Bingley As for the Aire Valley shop he has a link to i dont think that has anything to do with Aire Valley. It doesn't direct you to Aire Valley's site, i think he just put it cos he lives in the Valley. and pmsl at the boxes, wonder how many of those he sold? Meh Frooty

no chance at all cos its 5 sided, it would have to be 6 sided (or any even number) for the logo to face upwards please say im right! Frooty
