  1. sounds like you're battery is f**ked, but it depends on how your power circuit is arranged. Do you have access to a multimeter?
  2. Cheers guys, i've passed the intel. on. Spoke to some people tonight - apparently they came in through the skylight and managed to avoid two alarm sensors, as well as all of the CCTV cameras in the area being pointed in different directions.... This was a well planned, executed job im sorry to say. One of the guys who works at the shop said he cant even get two arms into the skylight without the alarms going off... these guys knew what they were doing. The owners seem to be under the impression that the bike's were over the channel before they even got there in the morning. I doubt they'll be found, but it will be great if they are. Cheers for all your help!
  3. You know when you hear a siren far away, and you hear it right next to you. They sound different. When it slows, it's amplitude is reduced, not it's frequency, as this itself is what the sound is. Sound does slow, and there's your proof. (not to be confused with the doppler effect). i'm on it.
  4. A few of my mates work at a local bike shop in gravesend, it's only a small single branch company by the name of Tri the Bike. Local riders will know the place. They was broken into pretty badly the other day, here is a list of bike taken - keep an eye out please! full list of stolen bike, look for chainring and down tube damage. giant bikes Trance x 4 2012 White blue Picture frame no GS114650 Trance x 3 12 Black white Picture frame no GS115720 Trance x 2 12 Grey red Picture frame no GS110605 Anthem x 4 12 Brushed alloy Picture frame no GS104066 Anthem x 3 12 Black red Picture frame no GS117773 Anthem x29 2 12 Black Picture frame no GS103236 Reign 1 2009 black/ gold Middle front chain ring missing XTC 29er 2011 Black Picture frame no GT101633 Trance x 2 2011 Black blue Picture frame no GW025155 Trek bikes. 5. bollocks. look up the electromagnetic spectrum.
  6. Wait for the warmer weather and the doorframe to expand.
  7. Can someone check this over for me? I think i've got it... but just want to make sure i'm not missing something out here: If y=4/5(1-e^(-4t)) then multiplying out of brackets y=4/5-4/5e^(-4t) Now to differentiate: as y=e^(ax) dy/dx=ae^(ax) dy/dt=(-4/5)(-4e^(-4t)) dy/dt=3.2e^(-4t) Do you concur?
  8. That was awesome, i found mine when moving out last year.
  9. You absolute godsend. It all makes sense when it's in front of me like that. But applying all the rules in the right order and moving things around i just can't keep ontop of. Cheers Luke. TF's resident mathematician
  10. Thank's to my terrible quality of transposition, i call upon you gurus again. http://uploads.trialsnet.com//monthly_02_2012/post-8224-0-82334500-1330458816_thumb.png How do we get from here, to here: http://uploads.trialsnet.com//monthly_02_2012/post-8224-0-31957900-1330458826_thumb.png
  11. I personally cannot help, but there are websites such as thisone. Room renting is a big thing in london due to the expensive living costs and people only requiring a place to sleep in between work.

    Films!?

Watched 'Guard' the other night. It has the fellow out of 'In Brugge' as the main star (not colin farell - the other one). If you liked In Brugge and it's style of comedy - you'll really like this film. Highly recommended.
  13. What wattage are your energy saving ones?

    Chains!

Normal call would be to go with whatever groupset you're running, but sram and shimano are relatively good when mixing equipment. Good deals on CRC at the moment http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=53864

How much money do you want to spend - and what sort of bike?
  16. Picture / Year / Travel / any names on it?
  17. I started off on a hope bulb, lasted me a good two years, with only one axle replacement. Good hubs if you're not going big - but upgrade when you feel your riding getting better, it will help improve your skills.
  18. http://wiki.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php/Removing_cranks You need a special tool - a crank extractor. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/SearchResults.aspx?Search=crank+tool
  19. you sort of twist and turn your bars, trying doing it mid hop, and when you've got the technique, you can try it when your tyre's on the ground.
  20. Their reservoir system isn't too clever for trials, given the angles that are experienced during riding trials, there is a potential for air to get in the system very easily. This is a common problem that the Boardman MTB's had, which resulted in reduced braking power and a horrible spongey feel. They're cheap for a reason.
  21. i do believe that echo also offered an external bb system, supplied with an isis axle, allowing you to run external cups with normal isis cranks. The advantage of external cups is that the load is spread more evenly, and the pressure from the crank turn is closer to the bearings, so the effect of leverage is reduced.
  22. 88% in the test by the way guys, silly school boy errors let me down. Cheer for the help everyone
