Definately a grind in my opinion. Tar works alright. But too much can make it stick on, it makes a mess, and inevitably wears out. Plus, a grind will work in the rain.
As long as you get some decent pads to go with it, grind every time.

Providing I get paid tomorrow, and have enough time to go to my LBS to pick up my frame & forks, and the new cranks have arrived, and I have time to strip off my Zebdi & rebuild the Koxx, I'll be there
Oh, and if Idon't drink too much Saturday night
Many years ago a friend had a creaky front end, ignored it, and a day later his fork steerer snapped. If you're checking the headset, might be worth going over your forks closely at the same time?

Started on one of the original Mission Reefer's. Before they had internal headsets and the extra plates & welded bits etc. Probably why I snapped 3 frames in less than 6 months....
Don't suppose anyone knows of somewhere I can get some brake mounts helicoiled in or around Salisbury?
I pulled my old Planet X out of storage the other week, and part of the way through re building it I have found my Koxx Levelboss 1100..... Which has a dodgy brake mount so could do with getting it sorted.
I have Googled this question, but I really don't know what sort of company does it!
Cheers peeps.

I found riding with people better than me helped alot, as you can watch how things are done then try them yourself! (Don't go too far past your own limit thought of course!)

Ohhhh, haven't ridden Southampton for years! (Well, to be honest I haven't ridden my bike for years.....) Might join you for this one!
All depends on how tonight goes, and whether I'm able to move at that time in the morning.......
