Go for the try all's I've also had montys and I really liked them, but since you think they look wank...your probs best with the try all's, they are also really nice!

Go for an around 1000 wheelbase mod, your a little bit smaller than me and thats what length of frame I'm riding and I feel very comfortable on it

Don't get that. If I was you I'd get an echo lite, gu typhoon or an xtp if you ride lots of natty. Echo teams don't ride very nice IMO and feel pretty heavy (last years model, not sure about this years). I think that my lite rides a lot nice than the team, but, if you want an extremely nice riding bike, go for the xtp, although, thats only if you do more natty than street. Mine cracked after neary a year of riding it on mostly street and had taken a fair beating which I think is pretty good for a comp frame!

Ah, fair point, but with me, its very rarely the elderly as I tend to stay out of the city centre where they all sit complaining about petty things. After riding for as long as I have its got to the point where I basically cant be bothered being nice to pathetic people complaining about me riding. If I wanted their oppinions I would ask for it, they need to learn that.

You say "its great fun being a knob on the street". If you think this, how can you say I have the wrong attitude? I think people should mind their own business and what I do has nothing to do with them unless (as I said) its their own property that I am riding on.

If people complain, I usually tell them where to go, unless they own whatever I'm riding ofcourse, cos then its there property, if its not though, they can kiss my arse. I don't get much hassle though, got filmed the other night by this guy cos he thought my riding was "f**king brilliant" and he wanted to show his mates in the pub

Yeh, I've been the same this winter, I've still been riding like 3 times a week (usually ride more than that though), I just can't be arsed trying anything new a lot of the time. With me I think its a mixture of winter weather and riding the same shitty spots. It's a different story if I'm getting to ride somewhere different though, then I don't want to stop riding despite what the weather conditions might be.

Mine were near froze twice last night (took bike into halfords first time and got my bike into car just before it froze solid the second time) But my mate's froze solid twice! Brake freeze ftl.

Not bad, was pretty repetitve though. Your a good rider for your age but I think that my mate Blair (who is same age) is a better rider. Not a stab at you personally, just my oppinion.
