You'll be suprised how much different it is to real snow, I used to go to Tamworth loads when I was younger and it was shoddy, but still better than dry slopes.

Well, seeing as the majority of riders use discs there doesn't seem to be a major problem with them being knocked. You'll be surprised that you wont knock it that much. Avid bb7/Magura Louise fr/ Hope trial.

Shimano un52 are pretty mint/cheap.

Wrap a ziptie around the lever to the bars, not overly tight as that f**ks the seals, then in the morning top it up with oil. Boil your pads, and get wet and dry paper on your disc. Re-bed it all in and it should work amazing.

Oh shit yeah, forgot about the Shimano Deores. They are AWESOME brakes for the money. I had one on the back of my old street bike and it was absolutely amazing. Paid £50 for it and it felt mint.

Avid Juicy 5's are amazing. Running one on my trials bike at the moment. I hate proper bitey brakes, so this brake is perfect, plenty of hold and modulation. Also Magura Louise are amazing brakes too. I had the 180 and it was SOOOOO powerful. Gay boy Kennard has it now, I think he loves it. For a streety bike I would go for the Avid over the Magura.

Will be alright i guess, won't be amazing though.
