  1. Nice one, you don't need the speed of dh, i prefer the rush you get when you just about to do a massive drop... like the 1 at brj, wouldn't do it for like 20 mins, until i got my peak if you get me. And then i finally did it, and it was excellent, i loved it. jOefish
  2. hmmmm, doesn't sound too good.... LMFAO!!!! joefish
  3. i have monty pads... they must be like powder, they have worn down to nothing in no time, but they make a nice noise and i can't complain about their braking either
  4. nice one chris, hope it goes well for you... good luck with building the beast
  5. I grinded my disc, worked a treat, didn't wear the pads that much quicker than if i hadn't got one, my guess is re-bleed and new pads j0efish
  6. or just fill it up with anti-freeze
  7. use anti-freeze be ok until it gets to about -20
  8. Use proper tyre levers, or put some washing up liquid around it and ease it off. joefish
  9. I have the maxxis mo-fos and they don't even compare to the maxxis high rollers, amazing tyres, get them, btw with all the maxxis tyres i've had i've only had 2 punctures, one was from riding through glass and theother was from being slashed. joefish
  10. Its a tryall rim, cool stop pads, its broke inside the lever, so i need to change it anyway
  11. Yeah, but soon i'll be fitting a vee-brake, hopefully tomorrow.
  12. Yeah, sorry about the picture quality, my camera is naff, does anyone know if its worth grinding my front wheel then? thanks j0efish
  13. yeah, i suppose, but i still think this has worked much better. oooh, and do you think its worth 'grinding' my front wheel?
  14. i suppose your right, i'll give it a go tommow, got to fix a few things after today, i have hardly any pads left now... but it was amazing braking power from them.
  15. have a look at the try all rims
  16. Use a stanley knife! much better than a grind
  17. Yeah, i would, but im scared of the grinder hehe i'll keep with this until it wears out, then i'll grind it, i think, no no, i'll use i bigger knife
  18. It isn't!... anymore, i got it fixed, and i changed the pads to kool stop on the front now, sooooooo much better!
  19. yeah, but they wear down quickly, and they're sh*te on the front
  20. Exactly! couldn't put it any better... to be completely honest i think it works better than a grind
  21. could of been, because 1, i dont think i tightened it up, 2 it was an old grinder, and 3, it was cold, so i wanted to do it as fast as i could to get back inside. and it really hurt,
  22. lol, thats what my dad said, 'what happened?' 'the disc came off for no reason!' 'did you tighten it up?' 'erm, how do you do that?'
  23. when i was making my brake boosters, i had to use an angle gringer to take the sharp edges off, and it slipped off and smack me in the chest, stung like a bitch, the blaaady disc came off... thats why i don't like them
  24. I went out today and i thought, f*ck me, these brakes are good, so i guess it must of done something, and the thing is, i was scared of grinding my rim, just incase i f*cked up, and cut my hand off or something, but also, i got a grinder for christmas... it looks worse in the pics than it does usually, oh, and adam, can you see where its bent?
