I would like to be the first to give Barbara a HUGE thanks for all she has done this year, without her the series would have been a bit of a shambles. She puts so much work into this sport and should be aplauded(sp). :$ Thanks again Barbara, I look forward to working with you again next year. John and Robbie P P.S. Well done little Chris Verbert. All the way from the Channel isle with no bike!!!!!!!!!! The airport peeps lost it. He went around with Rob and used his Hydroxx, he seemed very well suited to it and rode very well indeed. See you next year buddy well done. JP

How Old Were You When You Stopped Believing?
robster replied to Smoby's topic in Beginners Trials Chat

I hope Robbie doesn't see this or he may well become a non-believer..............Then he will tell his little sister and all hell will let loose in our house all because you started this thread Merry blumin Crimbo and jingle bo##ox to you all. Hi I to am an old git from moto trials in the 80's. :$ I ride bike trials now as does my 10 year old lad. Get him a little Monty and watch him develop into something quite special, don't push him yet, Turn up to an event and let him mess about and watch the older lads/lasses. You to might want to enter just for the laugh and it will inspire him. He won't be able to compete until he is 6 because of insurance reasons, but when he is 6 and if he is still keen he will be well away. I am beaten every time by Rob, he takes great pride in kicking my sorry old ass every time we go out and play/compete. Good luck and welcome JP.

Just been on here and seen this photo. http://www.ukbiketrial.co.uk/ By my feeble attempt at maths there are 9 classes of rider Poussin Benjamin Femina Minime Cadet Senior Elite Expert Master Each with top 3 riders getting a trophey that is 27 tropheys. I can only count 19 tropheys and 3 medals. I hope that it is not Robbies trophey that they seem to have missed out. I may be missing something but it does not seem to stack up. I am very sorry if I am wrong. What on earth are the "official biketrial" or so they keep calling themselves, playing at. PLEASE PLEASE let the kids have what they have worked bloody hard for this year !!!!!!!! Thanks rant over. JP

Ben if you stick a chair on that I will show how a trials bike should be ridden. You would be taking on Luscome and the likes. Sweet looking machine though. If a thumper goes pop you are into BIG money, whereas you can fix a stroker just about anywhere with a 10, 12, 13, mm spanner and a 5 and 6 mm allen key. You pay your brass and takes your chances. Two stroke all the way for me, but thats what i grew up on and old habbits die hard but it will be a beast of a bike. Enjoy it Ben, this will be last we see of you now thats for sure. JP

Yes Mick you were saddly missed. The trial was a real winner. I think every one enjoyed it. Was very good to see little jersey Chris (i think his name is) what a trip for him and his dad. well done to all that came and rode it was a great day with good weather and a real good feel to it. Thanks to you all you were all a credit to you sport. Roll on next year it is set to be even better. John.

Even a picture of them would be nice, we could print it out and stich it on his wall. I guess that this would save them actually having to buy any, and also save on post as you would not have to post em out. JP

Shipley Glen Biketrial Federation's Final Round

Well done Barbara. We can't seem to get anything wrong at the moment. This is gonna be a big one. If my injuries and pride have recovered i may well ride this one as many of you know it is a hell of a mecca for riders of all levels. If the local papaer promisses to not insult me again i will have a do, "OAP" indeed, how very dare they. You had better get the entries in in good time as the Queen will not be best pleased if you don't and it may well be "off with thier heads". I have a feeling it will be a good turn out. We are going to need observers for this one please, so start to ask mates, mums, dads, birds blokes and then we don't have to bully people into it on the day and we can get it rolling on time. see you there. oh by the way here is the report from Last weeks Tykes at Harden moor. Enjoy and NO LAUGHING when you see me. http://www.keighleynews.co.uk/sport/sportr..._tyke_trial.php JP -
