Care to write down those calculations? If it were me, I'd go for the Profile, yes it's costing you £40 more, which is alot of money for something which engages less, but you won't notice the difference, going from my bike to a Zoo Python with a Profile, it seemed fine, ok, there was a tiny difference, but it's completely solid, and will not let you down. Weight wise, I don't think you'd notice it so much when actually riding :)

Running a HS33 or a Vee brake? If it's a HS33 it won't fit, unless you run a pad bodge, which is basically glueing your current pads on top of some old cruddy manked up ones so it pushes them close to the rim. As scotty has said, if your pad's got enough 'meat' on it, it'll work, but this will only be a short term solution. If it's a Vee, I think it should be ok, I don't remember James (trialskid) ever saying anything about it :)

:) That was rediccylarse, those moves were crazy, pretty damn technical whilst going masseev :) Fix your bike up though, I doubt anyone wants you injured more from lack of a fully working bike :)

It's not what you wanna hear, but it needs to be said: How about you stop being a tart and use the rim you're still using, it's stronger and lighter than any other front rim out there . . . I don't run one myself but that's because of width (even though there's like 2-3 mm difference between a 521 and my Reggie), anyways, that's not the issue.

Hmm, so if Maguras suck then I guess all those Elite riders (as well as the vast, vast, vast majority of riders) running at least one HS33 on their bikes are stupid? There's no point in arguments like this, people have different experiences with both kinds of brakes, but the Magura (when working as it should) is better :-
