Well, shit, not much goes on here. A bunch of goddamn hippies smoking pot half the f**king time. Half the bike shops have hippies who just got a licensing in bike repair which was f**king taught by hippies, so god knows how they passed, I think 100grams of pot equals a passing grade, I believe thats the grading scheme. It rains. It's f**king boring. Hippies can't afford Chris King...

Haha, I just went on the website, and found this out. Chris King is located in downtown Portland, Oregon..haha.. I should rob the place and sell the stuff for cheap.

I think most people know when to bail. It's a weird feeling, that feeling of fall, a person generally knows what they can handle. When dirt jumping, I knew if the jump was gonna go well as soon as my rear wheel was off the mound..

if you like metal, give johnny truant a listen to, they're from brighton, i think. proper english metal.
-
not to listen to while riding, but in general. i like metal, I listen to other music as well, but I love me good metal. No, not Slipknot....
-
i would, but, who knows how many times a person rode that wheel( example given ), and then sold it, it could look fine, but its like a carabeaner, if you drop it you can't use it ever again, the microscopic cracks are prone to brekeage sooner or later.

Looks like I'm gonna have to get a new bike. I have an old Specialized p.3 ( 2002, its old ), and things are going to shit left and right. So, looks like I'm gonna have to build a new bike, or buy a new bike. Things I can salvage; Cassete, r-derailleur, crank( new one, at that ), chain, bottom bracket, front wheel, handlebars, stem, pedals, brakes ( and levers ), shifter lever and random cables. To remove all and install all of said items on new bike; $30 to 50 USD. New fork; ~200 USD New frame ~300usd ( probably one of the planet x or woodman ) ( dunno, frame might last longer, but not expecting as such ) New rear wheel with hub ~150 USD Currently, without the frame, I'm looking at 350 USD. Now, the things wrong with my bike; Disc tabs on front fork are non-existant. Disc brake holes on rear hub are non existant. I could; Get strong V-brakes ( maguras require a four bolt mount, I've got 2, :) ) on front and rear and make sure to maintain my bike well. Or just get a new bike altogether. Or,say f**k This, and just get a shitty road bike. This sport is not exactly cheap. Goddamn. And I can't even do the simplest of trials specific moves, other than trackstanding.

The movement involved with a bunny hop can be tricky. It requires quick body positioning and repositioning. Pull up on your front wheel by shifting your weight back quickly, and forcefully. with this you're lifting the wheel with your back and not your arms so much. when the wheel is up in the air, high enough to the point where you can shift your weight forward with it still being in the air as if standing on the bike. with this your rear wheel should go in the air as well, and you'll have a small amount of ground clearance. If your front wheel has a good amount of ground clearance with proper technique you should be able to bring your rear wheel up using momentum and leg control. http://www.trashzen.com/anbun1a.html

I've got a Shimano Deore Xt ( piece of crap, I know ) on my rear cog, and i need to tighten it, does anyone know how Ryna Leechs gets his to look like it does? I mean, it's not vertical, its more horizontal, is it just the overall chaintightness?

nice, not even 10, eh, I figure I can lose 4 kilos or so ( 8.8 pounds, since you live in Canadia, hey, I'm not far off, well compared to England ). Get a lighter fork ( A kilo and some change ) change my tires ( they're a bit heavy, around 1000 grams a piece ), and other minor adjustments..but, I'm sure I can get it down to the 20-25 lbs 11 kilos
-
Ever weighed your bike? Easiest way to do it way yourself, then weigh yourself with your bike. Mine's a bit heavy around 14 kilograms with the fork( sus fork )

It can still be tricky damnit, for example, if something falls out, then the lights goes on! Then you yell at your mother because she turned off the lights in the garage because when they building the house they messed it up, so the garage light for whichever reason is in the main hallway of the bloody house.

http://www.eastonbike.com/downloadable_fil...str/fork-EN.pdf It can be tricky, but, like all things, just requires patience. Which I don't have. :D

Haha, I have a pair of slipons, they hold well to the pedal, haha, not to my foot. If you want something with laces ( why don't they bring back velcro?? ) Vans Escobars or No schools, they have checkered bottom soles. If you have a store that sells cheap sneakers, etc, find a pair of shoes with checkered bottoms, such as These you'll be set. You don't want to spend 40 pounds on a shoe that's only purpose is to be thrown around.

since I already have a problem with my wrists and elbows ( weight lifting, guitar playing, and masturbation, atleast I'm honest ) I don't want a rigid fork. I need something with little travel, 80-100, obviously, but I dunno which fork. my price range is somewhere around 160 gbp, or about 300 USD. I need something that doesn't bottom out right away ( I'm 90 kilos ). any help'd be appreciated fellas.

I think Koxx is by far the coolest brand, why? "Level Boss" because we all used to play Super Nintendo, and when we got to the level boss, yes...that was awesome. Never ridden koxx, dunno much about their style, but goddamn, they seem cool That's it for me.

I think some classic metal, like MegaDeth or Testament. Something heavy, but not too ridiculous. For some ridiculous videos, like a ten foot drop then a handstand or something.

Ryan Leech has indeed gone out of his way to show young and unexperienced riders how to Master the Art of Trials. Watching this video will not magically make one a proficient rider, but it will indeed clear up any questions one may have on certain moves. The ability to see the action performed slowly ( which is just awesome ) and the option to play and replay it is extremely helpful! The way Ryan explains all his moves is slowly and concisely - also his body language is friendly. When I deal with people their body language says it all, and Ryan geniunely seems to want the riders excelling in their craft. The DVD is split into three phases, and a play section; Phase one, as one would assume deals with beginning aspects of trials riding, such as trackstanding, hopping, rocking, etc. All available in slow motion and the body momentum is clearly shown as is the braking rhythm. Phase two deals with using the drive train more; Pedal punches, punches off, pucnhes on, etc. And are shown at different angles to see how the rider can balance best. Proper landing technique is explained. Phase three deals with the more advanced moves of trials riding; Amazingly, the bunny hop is in here, and I agree. It can be quite difficult to master. Again, Ryan explains touch ups, kick ups, hook ups, side hops. The play section is the most entertaining; Manuals, front hops, wheelies, static 360 spins, rock walks, etc. A great section! Follows the same motifs as the rest of the DVD, Ryan explains it, very well at that. This DVD is truly one of a kind..literally. Are there any other DVD trials videos? I don't believe so. Fantastic DVD for the beginners, intermediate riders, and even advanced riders who might wanna watch a pro do it, see if they're up to par. I'm a beginner, but, I know a good instructional video when I see one. I've been playing guitar since I was a wee lad, I have many videos on it, some of them are just horrendous, and not worth the money, and the guitarist can be a cock ( check Yngwie Malmsteen ). With this DVD Ryan is friendly, courteous and explains everything so damn well. Pick this up when you can. 5/5

Specifically Mastering the Art of Trials, have yet to watch it. I have seen trailers, it looks delicious.
