    Your Height

Hehe other end of the spectrum here; 6' 3, 1050 wb. I suppose it's a little short, but there's pros and cons to both long and short wheelbases. I'd say as long as you're comfortable on it don't worry about it. Sorry forgot to mention I'm riding stock, it's a planet x tibo.
  2. Hey there I'd be more than happy to test your pads. I can honestly say I'm not the best rider ever but I do have some potentially attractive features as a tester. I live in Canada so if you need them tested in really cold conditions, I've got you covered there :S . Also, after having to set up my maggies probably more times than is healthy due to switching components, etc., I like to think I know how to set them up properly. I could give you clear and concise feedback on the pads' various features. Lastly I'm running a very dead grind currently. It's a long shot but I'd be happy to test them for you.
  3. Canola oil all the way. Just did a quick bleed with it and my lever feels amazing. Plus the brakes lock up nicely now too :shifty:

    Broken Magura Hose

    Much appreciated guys.
  6. Hey guys well I've got some bad news, while switching my components onto my new frame, I somehow managed to break my magura hose right where it goes into the brake cylinder. It was a clean break so I'm wondering if it's possible to remove the broken stub and just keep using the same hose? I know I'll have to rebleed it anyways but can I still use the same hose, as it will only be about 2mm shorter. Thanks for any advice.

    Bristol Today

It is indeed! I can't remember what the thread was actually called but the colour scheme of his bike is real easy to recognize :P

    New Vid

Greatly aprreciated! edit: the vid seems to cut short for me not long into it
  9. Hey I'd be more than happy to test some pads for you, only catch is I live in Canada so shippage might be a bit harsh (Y) . I'm running a rear magura on a rhyno lite that is currently fairly clean, with the worst pads ever created.

    Some Gaps Snaps!

Agreed, that's an enormous gap. Looks like he's about to make it in the first pic.
  13. Wow, I don't know if it was just the WICKED scenery/ riding locations but I really liked that vid. And anyone who complains about that kind of quality deserves a smack anyways.
  14. Yea man it's "Dusk" by Reuben. It's a very hard song to find but well worth it.

    Pitbull 2006

Well as a Canadian I can't necessarily speak for Americans, but yes us North Americans do generally use the front brake lever on the left side of the bars. Just thinking about it now I guess it actually makes sense to do it your way though since, assuming you're right-handed, your strong arm can be used solely for bike control when you're doing back-wheel moves while your left hand controls the brake. Anyways I can see advantages and disadvantages to both, so I guess it's just preference.

    Rennen Rollenlager

As I don't currently have a picture for you, if you follow the link that leedtrials provided for the dmr tensioner (http://www.wiggle.co.uk/?ProductID=5360013798) it works exactly the same way. Keep in mind to that it can be run above OR below the chain, depending on how much slack you need it to pick up.
  17. Hey I've been reading the forums for a while now as there aren't too many quality trials forums based here in southern Ontario (Canada :-). Basically I came across a discussion in the members' area about tensioners, found here: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=61626 . After the majority of the posters came to the conclusion that running a tensioner was a better idea than not running one, and then started throwing out names of tensioners, I couldn't help but notice that the Rennen Rollenlager was not brought up. Not sure if they are just not shipped to the UK or what the reason was, but I figured I'd throw this into the conversation as a huge recommendation. You can check out the rollenlager here http://www.rennendesigngroup.com . Slightly expensive but for the money you're getting a nearly bombproof (will literally handle more abuse than you can throw at it), light, and effective tensioner. If there is indeed a reason that the rollenlager is well-known but not popular in the trials community, please let me know!
