    Win My Bike!

Haha well that's quite an interesting idea, and it sure will get you remembered at least. Well I'm gonna guess "Christopher".
  2. Frame looks sweet Iolo, great idea. The website is kind of simple, but I like it that way because it's very clear and easy to navigate. Good luck with everything.
  3. "Goodbye for now" by POD. I'm usually not a fan of natural riding in videos but the skill made up for it, well done.
  4. I'm no expert on the matter but it sounds as though you're not using the right chain. Some chains are designed to work with very small cogs (11t or less). I wish I could give you more information but I do know that some chains cannot be run on very small cogs.
  5. Yea I have a truvativ bb with the same measurement difference (73->68). As said above it should have come with a metal spacer and a rubber spacer (mine did).

    Something Crazy

Yea I've seen that one before, amazing. I still can't believe how well he he was able to land right in the perfect spot on the stair set, he had to turn off the ledge about 15 feet before the start of the stairs.
  7. Well, I know you're probably somewhere in the UK so you probably don't want to be buying from overseas, but if all else fails: Webcyclery . Great fork too by the way, I love mine.
  8. Really enjoyed "Plymouth 16.06.04". Something about the riding style kept me interested.

    James Porter

Incredible. Sidehopping onto a rail shows the amazing control you have of the bike.
  10. You could try the rennen rollenlager if you have a way of getting your hands on one: rennen. They're vary much like the fresh products one, but seem to take a LOT of abuse. Oh and before anyone says it, the rollenlager is not a copy of the fresh products tensioner, if anything it's the other way around (the rollenlager has been around for quite a while) .
  11. I find that as I get "in the zone" and start to feel comfortable on my bike, I begin to focus less on my body and bike as two seperate entites but rather as one. I know this type of thing has been said before but most people seem to feel as though the bike becomes "part of them". Personally though, I tend to feel as though I am an extension of my bike. The basics of each move becomes routine and almost seems to be completely controlled by my subconscious mind, while my attention is really focused upon making sure the bike lands smoothly. Looking back on what I've just said, it looks as though a stoner wrote it. I'm basically trying to explain how I feel as though my bike and my body feel like a single entity, and that the majority of my conscious mind seems to be focused only on the intricacies of each move.
  12. I'm not positive I understood exactly what you're asking, but from the sounds of it your hub spacing is a little bit off with your dropouts? If so, there was another topic recently here: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=68432 about the same thing. Supposedly monty hubs are 4mm shorter than regular hubs.
  13. Very well said. Constructive criticism is one thing, disrespect is another. I'm not sure if people have just gotten lazy in their criticism but it really does come across as being rude. Especially when this person has filmed, edited, and hosted this video all for FREE and no one is forcing you to watch it.
  14. WHOA, I hope it's photoshop since it looks to me as though he's about to fall off there.
  15. Yup I'd imagine it's spoke tension as well. As said above somewhere, when you put a lot of force on your cranks that will in turn put a lot of force on your spokes. If they aren't properly tensioned they'll flex nicely.
  16. Same. I like these games, thanks for posting! I mean...use the search button
  17. Woops my bad, I thought you were talking stock.
  18. Then try not buying a bmx chainring? Try bikeparts.com, search for mtb chaingrings.
  19. To the best of my knowledge most chaingrings on the market fit your description.

    Braunschweig Video

Great intro! The riding was amazing, my only complaint was there was a little too much slow-motion for my liking. Other than that it was a wicked video, thanks for posting it!
  21. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Close this topic, this man just won!
  22. I disagree, the only possible reason that a long frame could be hard to pull up would be if you have a very low stem and/or a very short fork, thus putting more of your weight forward over the bike. If this were the case then the length would certainly be working against you. edit: you have to remember to take things into perspective, just because you change one aspect of your geometry it won't necessarily drastically change anything. It is a combination of many aspects that will change how different forces will affect your bike.
  23. Well, think of it from a simple physics standpoint. The longer a lever is, the more leverage you can get. Now think of your chainstays as a lever that's holding the front end of your bike down. The longer they are, the more force is keeping you front end down. Same thing with your stem, except this is where the upward force comes from to counteract the downward force being applied by your chainstays. In this sense you can think of your stem as an extension of your whole frame. The longer this frame + stem combo is, the more leverage you have on your hub to raise the front end. If that was confusing, basically the following combination will make your front end easy to pull up: long stem, short chainstays. I suppose long forks would also make this easier, as you have less distance to actually pull the bike up since your front end is starting from higher :turned: .
  24. Is that right? Then I guess I'm a new fan of parallel bar, beam and floor routines bro. I mean come on, when they're doing like a 720 off the second floor of a building and walking away, like it or not that takes some SERIOUS skill. Thanks for posting this vid, I thought it was awesome!

    Leg Wacking

Lol it means to remove your legs, it was meant as a joke (I hope lol). Definitely sounds like you either need a longer frame or a longer stem.
