That gap to front wheel... . Killer moves, well edited too!

Funny, that's pretty much what I was trying to say but you were able to do it in a couple lines. Well done sir haha.

As an undergraduate student in Computer Science I can tell you that going to University/College to "learn programming" is far more than professors teaching you the syntax of languages. In fact in many cases, it is partly up to you to learn the syntax on your own. What they do teach you is language-independent programming patterns, algorithm efficiency, structures, etc. That's not to say that you couldn't also learn these on your own, but they are for the most part far more complex than simply learning a language. We've all heard of those who get very successful without going to school. When it comes to programming though, those who do go to school for it and those who don't will basically be involved in different areas of work. If you're interested in simple web design or some forms of industrial code that aren't heavily memory-hungry then you may be just fine without going to school. The advantage of being a "computer scientist" is that employers know they have been provided with extensive training in how to problem-solve, use memory efficiently, use efficient algorithms, etc. To sum up, different approaches work for different people. I will tell you though that I've so far had great experiences with Computer Science in University and would definitely recommend it. PS regardless of how you go about it, I encourage you to keep persuing programming. You seem very interested in it, and it can be quite rewarding

Hey I've been using Raceface evolve isis DH's for about a year and a half I guess. Pros: Take a serious beating, pedal threads and tapers are rock solid. Cons: I can't find a bashring smaller than 32 tooth that will fit it (I only run a 22 tooth chainring). Overall I'm quite happy with mine. If you have any specific questions about them feel free to PM me.

Someone from observedtrials by the name of CPHun I believe (might be on here too) is 6'8 and rides a custom Tucana mod with a wheelbase of 1080mm if I'm not mistaken. He's quite good too. Also just for reference, I'm 6'3 and I can ride my buddy's long Adamant A3 very comfortably. It almost feels too long actually.

Could the chain be catching on your bashguard? Also try double-checking your chainline while backpedalling.

That looks great! Seems like a completely different frame.

The pictures are too big. Put them in MS Paint and scale them down, or find a third-party photo host to upload them to.

I usually don't like that colour of rims on any bike, but I like it on yours. Nice bike!

Thanks for the comments guys. Yea I suppose it is rather gigantic. I've been looking for a smaller one without any luck, and the cranks are just too good to replace simply to get a smaller bash It's great! Mind you it's a new chain so it's likely to stretch but at the moment the tension couldn't be better. I just got lucky that my 22-18 gearing makes for a perfect chain length.

Assuming it works like you say it does, the rotor guard is a great idea. The bike as a whole looks awesome!

Hey here's some pictures of my Pitbull, they're not great but I think you get the idea. I finally just got everything the way I want it so I figured I'd get other people's opinions on it! Unfortunately it's the moves that unintentionally end up putting a gash in ledges that the people kicking you off it are worried about. I know it sucks, but you've gotta see it from their perspective. All they care about are the dinged up walls they see, whether the wall got that way "intentionally" or not is irrelevant. I know what you mean though. We as trials riders, unlike those doing sports in which grinding ledges is the objective, do not intend to put anything on a wall but our tires. Nonetheless, we make mistakes sometimes

I know for certain that the Ringle Abbah Lawwill model hub has 36 engagement points so I'd assume the SOS model has the same number. I also know Ringle hubs are very high quality, so personally I wouldn't be too afraid to ride trials with one. As max-t mentioned, it isn't specifically designed for trials like the Hope Pro II but it could be argued that Chris Kings aren't either. Also to clarify, the Pro II's have 48 ep's. Since I've never actually ridden a Ringle I can't advise you either way, sorry.

I don't belive chainstay length does have an effect on how a certain gear ratio feels. I mean with 18/16 for example, regardless of any other factors your wheel will go around 1.125 times for every rotation of your cranks (assuming you're not coasting at all). With shorter stays it might make the gear ratio feel "lighter" though simply because your front end will come up easier when pedalling in the same way that using a lighter gear vs a heavier gear would. If anyone can prove this wrong from a physics standpoint then please do!

Tell that to the 10 stitches worth of cuts in both of my shins . I wear shins pads, gloves, and a helmet.

Absolutely awesome!

Yup, wad's got it right. When you anodize something, it creates an oxide layer that is relatively porous during the process. So by adding a dye into the mix the oxide layer absorbs the colour and bingo, you've got a well-protected, good-looking piece of metal.

If most of them are a bit too long and it's not a case of improper lacing, you could always file down the tops of the spokes (from the outside of the wheel). It's not exactly the ideal situation as it could be argued that you will have less thread contact between the nipples and the spokes, but if the spokes are only slightly too long it's probably worth not having to buy new spokes over.

I've had my ENO for about 6 months as well. After I cleaned it out it's very rarely skipped and I've had absolutely no problems other than that. Love the engagement too.

Everyone in the vid has some great style, especially in terms of front wheel moves. Liked it a lot!
-
Nice vid, had some pretty big moves. The link should be this by the way.
-
Sorry but yes it does. I know you're just expressing your opinion but the fact is that it works. Maybe not as well as a grind but that's debatable.
-
Definitely one of the nicer bikes I've ever seen. The main thing is how it rides though!

After having to get stitches on both shins this summer, I decided to get some TSG bmx shin pads. It's turned out to be a great investment. They've already saved me once (definitely would have been another trip to the hospital) and in all honesty I rarely even notice I have them on. I'd be lying if I said they weren't a bit hot in the summer, but the confidence they give me is WELL worth a little sweat.
