  1. Awesome! Matt - Im keen to wait for it... Is there an inspired website (*search brought up nothing)? or are they made by some1 else... im just keen to get bit more info about them so im not holding my breath for nothing (Y) cheers danny!
  2. as it says in topic title.... does anyone know if this bike is being released soon??? Iv just found crack (not too bad though) in my beloved et frame... and cant afford to get a leeson. The inspired looks the goods.. just wondering if its available, where and howmuch? thx danny
  3. THANKS for the help guys... il definately go with the Leeson then :- one more question.. and i know i should probly just ask Clive, but il ask here and see what response i get - Ive got the bolt through king rear hub.. does anyone know if he can do the 360 dropouts to suit it??? Id imagine the bolts on the frame would just bolt in where the funbolts do.. ?? has anyone had one built for the bolt through king hub?? Thanks again :P danny
  4. thisll be an interesting convo..... :- well actions speak louder then words... dont like what hes doin.. dont buy his products!! im with you though... it will kill the sport! let the arguments begin... (Y)
  5. look forward to the 6month video Gaz!! oh yeah.. good to see a new rider opting for a bike with a seat and not one of these crzy long things with no seat that most newbies seem to get into. please dont everyone go off on a rant about whats a real bike and the benefits of new designs and no seats etc etc... i think those posts have killed enough message boards for the next 30 years. (Y) keep on ridin dude :D
  6. ok, i know everyones talkin bout 24s these days... but im curious... 400pounds for a 609 leeson OR 549pounds for the 24inch by Curtis. I know most people have the Leeson and iv seen on the sites that its definately the more custom bike of the two ... What im interested to know is... Which bike rides nicer? (yes i know custom bikes wil ride differently but in general..) Which would be the stronger? And any chance Curtis is just waaaay overpriced?? :D thanks for any advice. Swaying towards leeson.... but the Curtis in raw, does have some chronic sex appeal!!! thx!
  7. dunno if youd compare this to a ferrari ... but my old man just sold his practically new SL55AMG and is considering the new aston martin.. i forget which one. And no im not a rich kid... i live away from home n rarely see my parents and never rely on them financially. His reason for sellin the amg... "had a few of them (amg's) and bit over em now... want to get a really special toy" thought it wuz a laff... i struggle just to keep 1 bike running and maintain some sort of social life.
  8. Hi Gaz dunno if you remember or not spoke to you other night about you leeson. imo... its pretty good ridin for only a short bit of time learnin... keep goin mate :- lets see a vid in 6months (Y) danny
  9. Seems to be soo many bike vids out there on this wonderful wwwdotcom world in which we are a part... I thought it only useful and interesting if we start a list of our fave bike trials video (downloaded or bought dvd/vhs/beta??!) and if possible a link to it so others can see em too... anyways im bored and just seems like an idea. (Y) My fave = hard decision.. but il go with the "monkey" feat the slick jibs of Matt Berridge. (available on curtisbikes website) Its just a really cool song, effortless looking smooth riding and i really like seeing originality and creativity in how many ways u can get up n down a simple ledge!!! Its v.coool! cheers danny!
  10. that maybe so... but i have put a set of pashley forks on my bike and measured wb... 1040 and then put the ashton forks back on and it came out at 1020!! So id like to keep it at that length if possible. Maybe the pashley forks iv got are bent out (they are 2nd hand so maybe!) but thats how it looks right now. thx for the advice though (Y)
  11. My much loved Ashton forks have a small but gettin bigger crack....! I wanna replace with the same shape forks (no rake) Id like em to be straight blade. But i dunno if i should get another set of ashtons... they did last way over 1year. Should i be looking at other options ... must be aluminium, straight blade and oh yeah... its for 24inch!!! thanks in advance.... il probly get the ashtons again.. unless there is a better fork???
  12. oh my god!!! they is sweeet! :) Van Homan (110% legend!) has signature shoes.... awesome. not the best looking things but nice. Like em Duvals they mint!
  13. Where can i see pics or find info on Ribo shoes?? Im more of a vans ol skool man or globes... but the new trials shoes may win me over :)
  14. how much is rider skill and how much is bike?? Surely u cant say steel isnt as good because vincent wins on aluminium so therefore aluminium is better. Riders like V and others at that level i believe could ride and win on any "trials" bike. But its interesting topic now... :)
  15. hahaahaaa... U beat me to it Dave85! was just bout to say that also lets not turn this into a steel vs aluminium thing... thats soooo last year! lol its all about quality.. If there is a nice aluminium frame with good quality welds and great geometry then i think it deserves good praise. mmm i think il leave it there for now :)
  16. Does anyone have Sharn's 2nd video riding the ET?? From around december 2004 i thinks... Been to trialshack that hosted it and it seems to be down or something... If some1 has it can they host or send it to me pleeeeease!?? thx
  17. oooh name calling and threats.... ooo aint we taking it all a bit too personally!! :) grow up kid!! anyways... didnt wanna have to post this again, just to prove my point about the welds! (and no im not saying the bikes are crap - we all know there not. im just pointing out the quality of the welds... draw your own conclusion) here it is... http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthrea...tbull+picturesy. ... its just a bike remember :P
  18. :) lol... u got me! what was this topic about again? :) B)
  19. wb 1015 (same as the mk4) 74deg head angle 15.5inch stays frame was just over 4pounds... about 4.15 id say 13"high bb and finally it had no main triangle gussets hope that helps!
  20. Sorry... been watchin Team America all afternooon. Was only a joke!
  21. Well if the new ones are welded better then the earlier ones then good. Id still feel happier riding a frame put together by someone who knows what trials is... ie LEESON (Lucky you eh Tomm!) . But its good to hear your dad took time out from making WMD's to examine the welds on your trials bike!
  22. PMSL!!!! :) welds on dengs frame eh... lets backtrack a little. Remember when he brought out the pitbull.. cough...cough coustellier copy... cough! and OTN had a bunch of pics showing the welds in close up. They were aweful. There were gaps in them and some bits had been stopped and then the welding restarted. Ive been unfortunate enough as to have seen my fair share of echo/zoos and i doubt they have improved much since then. Especially when an importer i know was accidently sent the invoice that was from the factory meant for Dengs eyes only. Lets say they cost about the same as a NIKE shirt to make B) lol but anyways i dunt care really... .i dont ride them things. peace.... whatever u wanna ride.... ride!
  23. They all Deng's Echo, Zoo, Gu, Adamant and Czar!!! have i missed any.... probably! Yeah whats happened to steel and craftsmanship... things companys like pashley are famous for. Oh well, look at it like this... with everyone riding these mass produced aluminium bikes welded together by some twat who wouldnt know the first thing about trials... It makes LEESONs PASHLEY and CURTIS (plus DeSalvo etc) much much more nicer and special!!
  24. just on 10.2 ashton 24inch... dunno if i could get it much lighter... without going to extreemes of stupid drilling. Im happy with that weight... feels light as
  25. ahh ok ... :) lol ... It was a joke between me and him. bcuz he wanted a ashton 24 to begin with. which is what i ride. anyways he likes his bike and its not a baad custom jobby at all (Y) nice one X!
